I swear I was pulled and stretched all directions and at the end of the 2 hours, I was as limp as a ragdoll. The best part was that it was $10 US Dollars. The worst was that I haven't been able to replicate the experience here in the US, until now. I've been alternatively going to a chiropractor ($50 each session) and massage ($60-$80 each session) to relieve my back pain since it can sometimes debilitate me and I can't get out of bed. I also have an inversion table to help manage the pain. The chiro helped with the alignment of my spine, but it would go back in a couple of days because the muscles will pull it back out of alignment. Massage helps but it's just skin deep. What I needed to do was something like yoga but honestly am too out of shape to hold any position longer than 20 secs. I saw an ad for Stretch Zone and signed up for the free trial but was turned off my the $10 fee they wanted to charge to book the appointment, I mean is it free if it costs money? I sat on the offer for months and finally out of desperation one day when I pulled a muscle and couldn't get into my chiro or a masseuse, I booked an appointment. Since they have 2 locations in El Paso and are fairly new, I was able to get in. They also have an app which will tell you what times are available, but more on that later.  I walked into the session with pain and I couldn't turn my head to the side because of a crick in my neck, and walked out with sheer relief. First off, everyone who works there is ridiculously nice, and not in a fake salesperson kind of way. They're genuinely happy to be there helping people get relief and achieve their fitness goals. I saw all sorts of people, from older folks trying to maintain their flexibility, to top athletes trying to prevent injuries, to people like me who need a literal push. The girl who did the demo made me feel at ease and they start you on the table with a wedge and only stretch you up to the number 3 (the real sessions use 3, 5, 7). The bed looks like an S & M contraption with straps and buckles, but in reality it works as an extra hand for the therapist. It helps hold you in position while they stretch you, kinda like the 2 Thai ladies, where one would pull me one way while the other pulled the opposite. It works, I tell you, after only one demo I was sold. I signed up the same day as the price wasn't bad, the highest one was stand alone sessions at $60 each, but if you buy packages it can go as low as $30 a session. I immediately booked my 1st session after the demo and it was even better. Each session is different because it could be with a therapist you want or just have availability, I usually book last minute so I'm not particular about my therapist. I've been with 4 different ones and they all are amazing. You start off by booking on the phone or the app, and my 1st one I accidentally booked it and cancelled within the 12 hours and they corrected it for me even though the policy is to forfeit the session if you cancel too close. What's great is that the 2 locations are owned by the same owners so you can interchange if you want to go to the Eastside or Westside, which isn't the same nationwide.  When you start off your session, they ask you what your goals are and what you want to concentrate one. Then they start by warming you up and muscle by muscle, they start targeting your ligaments and slowly stretch you with the 3, 5 , 7 system. It works so well and you get that feeling of not quite pain but just tension when they get to the 7 and it hurts so good. Once they release, you feel your blood flowing to the area and the tightness goes away, at least for me. It works better for me since it addresses the underlying condition of my muscles pulling my spine out of alignment. I loved it so much I referred my mother-in-law and brother-in-law. My mother in law signed up since it helped her sciatica immensely. She would hobble around and after 2 sessions was able to stand straight without pain.  I also learned I get free swag when I refer people like t-shirts and water bottles. I refer it though because I actually love the results. I'm not as grouchy (per hubby) because I'm in constant pain and I'm excited to get more exercise in because I'm not as scared to injure myself because I'm more flexible. So go check it out for yourself and help me level up to a towel or bag. LOL Use my code JENSOL1722 when you join El Paso West https://stretchzone.myperformanceiq.com/user/register

Highest Praise!…read more Kinective is far and away the best gym experience in the region -- quality facilities, amazingly pleasant and proficient staff, trainers and managers, beautiful new equipment and a busy class schedule make it a "must try" if it is in your area.

Kinective Fitness in El Paso is where fitness, fun, and a little bit of bougie all collide in the best way possible. This place is more than a gym -- it's a two-story-plus-rooftop experience that somehow manages to feel upscale and welcoming. Think boutique hotel vibes meet high-tech wellness playground. Let's start with the first floor: it's stunning. The aesthetic is modern, spacious, and designed with intention -- every detail feels thought out. The front desk team was so friendly and helpful from the moment I walked in (even when I had a little misunderstanding about my visit -- more on that later). There's a healthy café right by the entrance serving smoothies and food that fits every lifestyle, including vegan options. They even have a secret door that leads to a massage therapist's suite -- yes, an actual hidden door. There's also a retail section stocked with Lululemon and gym swag, so if you forget something, they've got you covered. Parents, take note -- there's also an on-site kids' daycare on the first floor, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. It's clean, bright, and makes it so much easier for members with little ones to actually enjoy their workout time without stress. The first floor also houses the HIIT training room -- dark, moody lighting, TRX straps, and those curved, motorless treadmills that make you feel like a machine. MetCon classes happen here too, and if you're serious about lifting, you'll find top-notch equipment plus unique tools for competitors or physique athletes. You'll also spot the personal training offices, a compression therapy area (available for an extra fee), and super clean locker rooms with everything -- infrared sauna, steam room, zero-gravity massage chairs, tons of vanity space, and more showers than I could count. The second floor keeps the wow factor going with tons of cardio equipment overlooking the first level and massive windows with mountain views. This is also where you'll find The Trip, and honestly, this alone makes the membership worth it. The Trip is a next-level immersive cycle class -- think virtual-reality-meets-spin-studio. You ride through projected worlds on enormous screens, and it's all synced to music and visuals. The bikes are smooth, and the tech setup is seriously impressive. You even check in via small digital screens before class. That said, my only real miss came during The Trip. As a first-time guest, I didn't get any help setting up my bike, and the instructor didn't acknowledge new riders. Thankfully, another member helped me out -- shoutout to friendly gym people everywhere -- but I wish someone had guided me through that first experience. It's a small thing that makes a big difference, especially in a high-end gym like this. After class, I met Jeff, the general manager, who gave me a full tour -- and he was phenomenal. Super professional, friendly, and passionate about the space. He explained how every class syncs to your Connective app, showing your heart rate and stats in real-time on giant projectors (unless you choose to opt out). It's all very tech-forward, which I love. Upstairs you'll also find Pilates Reformer classes (extra fee), yoga and barre studios, and even a meditation-only room -- dark, quiet, with twinkling ceiling lights and soft music. It's honestly a dream. Every floor has its own bathrooms (thank you!), and everything is spotless and thoughtfully designed. And then -- the rooftop. The vibe up here is unreal. There's a track for running or walking, kettlebells, monkey bars, and a full outdoor workout setup with mountain views. At night, it transforms into this elevated hangout space with misters, ambient lighting, and even a bar serving drinks. They host events up here too, and you don't have to be a member to book one. I came in on a free trial day, but you'd never know it from how I was treated -- the staff was wonderful, and I felt like a valued member. They also offer day passes, week passes, and flexible memberships. So, the hits? Pretty much everything. The design, the energy, the tech, the amenities -- this place nails the luxury fitness experience. The misses? Just a couple small service gaps during my first visit. But overall, Kinective Fitness is absolutely the boutique gym of El Paso -- where wellness meets wow. There's a second location coming soon ! (Plano , TX)

On the positive side, Pink Iron is a very clean, pleasant, and safe environment to work out in. The facility itself is great. However, there is a daily issue with parking management that needs attention. Every day, a specific parking spot is blocked off for a member of the staff (Aide). The explanation given is that she needs to unload heavy items daily, though multiple clients have noticed this isn't usually the case. What makes this frustrating is that the plaza itself has a clear policy prohibiting the blocking or reserving of parking spaces. Furthermore, the gym has a rear access door specifically designed for deliveries and staff use. When clients accidentally park in this spot, we are immediately asked to move. Hoping to understand the situation, I politely brought this up with the staff. Unfortunately, instead of a professional conversation, Aide approached me in the middle of my workout routine. She defended the practice by saying that since we are at a gym, clients "can just walk." While I have absolutely no problem walking, it feels disrespectful to force paying clients to move their cars--especially when the reservation violates plaza rules and alternative access exists. To make matters worse, she mockingly asked if I was the one who had been filing reports against it. This made me realize that I am not the first client to complain about this issue. It was incredibly uncomfortable to feel cornered and bullied in the middle of my training session just for raising a valid question. Suggested Solution: I enjoy this gym and want to see it thrive. I highly encourage management to enforce the plaza's official parking rules equally for everyone and to utilize the rear entrance for staff loading. More importantly, I hope staff members receive guidance on how to handle client feedback with professionalism, respect, and kindness rather than defensiveness.

I dropped in for a hot Pilates class, and from the moment I walked in, everyone was smiles, greetings, and genuine warmth. The vibe was welcoming, the energy was high, and the class? Next level. I've taken a lot of hot Pilates and yoga over the years, but never with a male instructor -- and wow, he absolutely delivered. From start to finish, the class was intentional, challenging, and perfectly balanced. We used bands, dumbbells, blocks, and towels -- everything was provided, which I love. The room was dark, the music was vibey (think transient EDM that keeps you in the zone), and the heat was real. This isn't infrared -- it's that old-school, steamy, humid heat that pushes you past your limits. Pro tip: hydrate hard 24-48 hours before you go. Bring a big water bottle (or two). I had to sit out part of the squat series because I started to feel lightheaded -- but the instructor immediately noticed, turned a fan on me, and checked in multiple times. That level of attentiveness is rare. He even handed out chilled, essential-oil-soaked towels at the end of class and pressed them gently on our eyes and temples while cueing deep breaths. All the senses were hit. There's no shower (well they've removed the knobs so you cannot access the shower , when I asked about the shower the owner explained how hard it would be to manage 1 shower and 2 classrooms full of folks wanting to use shower- which I totally get ), but there are three bathrooms -- two downstairs and one upstairs , plenty of places to change clothes after class-- plus a massive room & cubby area to drop your stuff so it never feels crowded. The studio itself is beautiful, with a bold mural at the front and such a great community vibe. A regular even helped me out mid-class -- total team energy. This is not a beginner-friendly class, and I mean that in the best way. It's intense, sweaty, and humbling -- exactly what you want when you sign up for something called Hot Box. I've practiced yoga for about 20 years all over the country, and this studio officially made my top three nationwide. The drop-in fee was $30, and it was worth every penny. My only regret? Not snagging that cute Hot Box sweater before class (front desk was empty afterward). Lesson learned: buy your swag before you get drenched. If you're looking for a studio that's tough, authentic, and packed with good vibes -- Hot Box is it. Come hydrated, come ready, and come to sweat.
