There great free weights too. Classes are included in the membership and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have tanning, showers, child care, and a smoothie bar. The trainers and staff are incredibly helpful, approachable, and more than willing to help you achieve your goals. (And help you find new goals you didn't even know you wanted). The level of care, passion and professionalism is unmatched. You don't need to be a gym human to feel like you belong. Members are just as friendly and helpful and you really feel like you deserve to take up space. (And you really do ) The space? Oh buddy! There's so dang much. From dumbbells, to barbells, to rowing machines, to cardio machines (of multiple types!); the options are endless and there's always more being added. The equipment is really well taken care of and there's never a time that I've been there that I feel like I'm being crowded or waiting on someone to get off equipment. There's so many options for machines that I am still learning more and more each session. Being female focused as a gym was really important for me when I was doing research. I have a cocktail of hormone issues, autoimmune and chronic illnesses so I needed somewhere that could help me figure out my body to work with me and not against me. And this, this is the place for that. I feel safe, supported, and really really strong. They host classes and I cannot wait to check those out! The rude man stated I had to take my wet shoes off even though I was not on the bowling floor and stated to ask me where I went to school because I am apparently not educated enough to read a sign after telling him he doesn't have a right to talk to me like that he proceeded to raise his voice and began to yell at me about me shoes and tax dollars which made no sense at all. Tom the owner has done a great job turning this place around and making it truly one of the best courses in the area. For the money you wont find anywhere that can compete with this course. A few years ago I joined the Thursday night mens league just wanting to get out and golf regularly. The price was probably the biggest draw for me to join the league. League fees are $35 (one time payment) and it's $10 to walk each week, an additional $7 to ride and $3 for skins. Seriously, how do you pass this up on a course this nice!? All the guys in the league are very friendly and accepting to new players. The league scoring is run on handicaps to level the playing field. So it doesn't matter how good or... not good you are. You also don't need to worry about keeping track of your score, average, or handicap as it's all taken care of by the guys who run the league. It you're a golfer looking for a nice course to play, Birch Run is well worth the time and money. I would highly recommend this course.

Most of the community seems to be female, but it is easy to Rx the WOD or scale to your abilities. I would definitely come back when I am in the area, as fitness options are limited in the area.
