They were nice and up to code. The day I took my daughter there (she's 1 1/2), I had to take her to a small back room with cribs all along the exterior and a pin in the middle. There were about ten children in this small "play area." According to their teacher, they're in this pin all day unless they are doing activities at the table. There were hardly any toys for them to play with, and the ones that were there were not age appropriate for toddlers. According to my daughters end of the day paper, she did not get fed until 11:15...so no breakfast at all. I do not recommend this place for any child. I used to work for DHS and there was a lot of questionable things going on here. I am in contact with the state in regards to the guidelines of child safety and health in a care center.

To start, you're greeted by the best receptionist/bouncer ever (Co-Owner Oskee the Lab) for snuggles, encouragement, and a little slobber. The trainers and staff are incredibly helpful, approachable, and more than willing to help you achieve your goals. (And help you find new goals you didn't even know you wanted). The level of care, passion and professionalism is unmatched. You don't need to be a gym human to feel like you belong. Members are just as friendly and helpful and you really feel like you deserve to take up space. (And you really do ) The space? Oh buddy! There's so dang much. From dumbbells, to barbells, to rowing machines, to cardio machines (of multiple types!); the options are endless and there's always more being added. The equipment is really well taken care of and there's never a time that I've been there that I feel like I'm being crowded or waiting on someone to get off equipment. There's so many options for machines that I am still learning more and more each session. Being female focused as a gym was really important for me when I was doing research. I have a cocktail of hormone issues, autoimmune and chronic illnesses so I needed somewhere that could help me figure out my body to work with me and not against me. And this, this is the place for that. I feel safe, supported, and really really strong. They host classes and I cannot wait to check those out! As a member they're included in my package and it's the coolest perk. Not a gym human but want to be? Hire one of their personal trainers! It's a literal GAME CHANGER. I tried various yoga, barre, and pilates' studios around the area and Releve is still where I choose to go! Releve offers a variety of barre and ballet 1-hr group classes, held in the AM/PM Monday - Friday and Sat AM class. All of these classes will give you a whole body workout, incorporate stretches in between sets, so you will leave feeling incredible. You will experience leaner muscles (not bulky), more flexibility, and great community support from the ladies you're in class with. I really value instructors that literally works out with you and motivates you to push yourself in each class. When I found out I would be traveling to Michigan for Thanksgiving, I knew I had to find a class in the area to satisfy my 'barre addiction.' I am so glad I found Relevé! Relevé is a barre fitness studio located right off Woodward in Birmingham. It's small so the classes feel more intimate and you have better visibility from the instructors. There is also a lot of parking available, so it's easy to just pop in and start the class (as opposed to a huge commercial studio/gym in which you have to park far away, go through locker rooms, etc.). I attended three classes when I was in town - one with Donna (cardio) and two with Beth (basic and cardio). They are both WONDERFUL instructors (with beautiful ballet bodies, so you know this class works!) and gave me very challenging workouts. They were both patient, knowledgeable and able to describe the different moves and benefits as we transitioned from section to section. I instantly felt the 'burn' and lots of good shaking in my muscles during each of our sets. If you are unfamiliar with barre, I highly encourage you to check out barre and this studio. You don't have to be an expert ballerina to do well- you just have to have a positive mental attitude and a willingness to work hard. You will notice changes in your body immediately! Went on a Saturday night to check the mini golf out for the first time and was thoroughly impressed…read moreby the whole setup. The equipment to help you see your ball on the greens was really neat and the detail on each hole was very cool-I've never seen sand traps on a mini golf course before! I am looking forward to what else they will add in the future, but I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to friends, family and children alike!
