I do not recommend going to this Planet Fitness. Their hydration foundation has been broken for over a month and there will be a medical emergency with dehydration. They refuse to provide bottled water for us members while the machine is broken. Also, their equipment stays broken for months! All the stair stepers specifically. The staff, generally, is friendly and the facility is kept clean. The on site staff, including the AGM and the GM do their jobs well as far as I can tell, but their hands are likely tied with regards to what they have the ability to do with regards to the issues mentioned in this review, so it's my opinion that the in site staff are not to blame for the problems mentioned in this review. This facility has several pieces of popular equipment are way too often broken down for extended periods of time and can't be used. There are also several pieces of equipment have the vinyl padding that has worn and cracked and needs to be replaced. Sadly using this equipment with the worn padding tends to irritate the skin. Not sure what the reason is with such long delays in keeping their equipment in a working condition other than maybe those is charge are stringing the repairs along until the time comes to actually replace the broken equipment, and if that's the case then that's very poor gym management by those who are actually in charge of this particular facility. While the facility GM is technically in charge of the operation and maintenance of the facility they definitely are not the reason this particular gym seems to be falling into disrepair, the issue is someone past the GM level. This facility needs to get on the ball and bring it up to standards that the other lical PF seems to have. read more

My PF tour continues bringing me to the Graham version yesterday. Fairly convenient being about 1/2 mile off of I-40/85, exit 145 (I think) Building appeared to be on the old side from the curb, but its guts were PF worthy. Good mix of cardio, machines, and free weights. It also provided a 12' ab section, which I definitely need, tried, and enjoyed (not really). 1st PF I have been to with this option. I was very impressed with the Staff's commitment to sanitizing and cleaning equipment. Witnessed 3 different associates in a 1 hour span cleaning machines! Kudos. Might hit it again next time I go to Alamance county. read more

I have used a Family YMCA and a local gym. I didn't even bother with any of the other chains because they cost more than I wanted to pay and they acted like they were doing me a favor to show me around. This is the least costly and most helpful place I have ever used. Even the "expensive" level isn't a lot of money. They have LOTS of cardio machines, weight machines, mats and free weights. There is an occasional wait for one of the weight machines. NEVER for a cardio machine. They simply have too many of those for it to ever be a problem. They have a trainer available 5 days a week. His job is to show you how to use the equipment and to help you design a workout that you will be successful with. And he appears to really enjoy doing that. There are training slots scheduled everyday so that you can pick the day and time to get the help you need. I think cleaning must be frustrating for the employees. There is always someone cleaning and refilling, so it never shows improvement when they do it. Everything is always fresh. All the staff are always friendly and helpful. I have never felt like I was annoying or a bother. And that has made all the difference in making this a habit. read more

Too many patrons taking up space trying to hook up, talk on their phone loudly, or take selfies for social media for my tastes. No hand sanitizer or toilet seat covers? Why??? No sauna. Came here to get a workout in while on Christmas break. Was helped by employees and the store manager who offered a free visit to check out the facility for 24 hours. We were given access to the entire gym. We were allowed the same access as a black card member this included the tanning bed and massage chair and bed. We tried out the hydro massage bed. It was very neat the water could be set to a different speed or pressure and you could also keep the water concentrated in one area if you wanted. Not sure if I would try it again....the water kinda made my back itch idk it was just weird. Maybe I'll try out the chair see how that goes. But planet fitness is a no nonsense gym which is something else I like. They offer help if you need or you can try out the different machines and weights on your own if you like. But they do not pressure the people who come in and that is really great to see. read more

I tried calling to inform them IT IS NOT OKAY to withdraw money 3 days after the said it'll be taken out. Now I have been charged an overdraft fee because it has always came out on the 17TH. But not this time. I was on hold for 30 minutes. Hung up and called back waited for another 20 minutes. My gosh it's 9 am. How busy are these people to where they can't pick up the damn phone. They always have 2-3 employees working so what's going on. I will be asking for a refund and will NEVER spend another dime at this place. Was told it would be the 17TH every month. This is a nice Gym, like most of the Planet Fitness locations I have visited. It is fully stocked with workout equipment. They have everything I need here to get a great workout. The whole place is very clean and well maintained. The staff here was very accommodating to us as out of town guests. read more

Posted a review 7 days ago and received owner response, I decided to give this PF another try and bring concern to front desk staff and just as I predicted the staff member and observing staff members could care less. The response from the young lady was, "Yeah, we know." and did not elaborate as when the issues would be fixed or if they will ever be fixed or even addressed. I inconvenienced her as I interrupted her conversation with her co-worker about a previous dinner she had. Customer service is horrible. I have yet to see a evening staff member smile, greet, or say goodbye. They actually look miserable. Customer service is key for a business to thrive or continue to succeed. This is a great gym! It has wonderful hours it open 24-7 Monday - Friday and then it's open 7-7 on Saturday and Sunday! It is always clean and neat. You can sign up for. My husband joined this facility a few months and I went as a guest to see if I would like it enough to leave my current gym and follow suit. Unfortunately we were "greeted" (if that's what you want to call her initial exchange with us) by Emily, who was so flat and dry that it bordered on being rude. I don't expect much from the front desk crew...merely to be checked in so that I can get on with my workout. But her demeanor was far from welcoming and I felt like I was inconveniencing her by being there. She mechanically asked me for my ID, then email address, and although I was standing directly in front of her, she placed my ID down on the counter instead of handing it back to me. I got the signal that she had everything she needed when she stopped talking and just looked at me. When I asked if that was all she replied with a dry "yes" and I turned and tried to enjoy the morning workout. The spaciousness and cleanliness of the facility helped improve my mood but the "greeting" I received compelled me to stay with my home gym and send the hubby to PF on his own. read more

I have been a member for about 8 months and love it. It seems almost too good to be true that for only $10 a month I can come workout as often as I like, which is typically 5 times a week. I lift weights and run on the tread followed by stretching. They keep it very clean and the atmosphere is very easy going. I walk in feeling good and strut out feeling great.
