My daughter started RedX gym in Hartselle in August 2025. She is not new to weight lifting or being…read morein a gym everyday. She wanted to try a 24/7 facility. We started noticing her hands had what looked like a fungus on them. Almost what I would think athletes feet would look like. We tried different medications and nothing would heal it. I had her stay out of the gym for a few weeks to see if it would go away.... it did. She started back to the gym and so did the skin issue We decided we wanted to just cancel and not risk this spreading incase the gym was causing it. I didn't want to cause a stink about it, just cancel and move on. After months of trying to cancel a membership (aware of fees that would need to be paid without a problem) I could not get a call back or locate anyone who worked in the facility. Finally I received a response by email this week then a phone call and the amount of narcissism in the experience was absolutely astounding. What was suppose to be me asking a question about the contracts end date and paying the small fees to have this over with, turned into a woman telling me, out of nowhere, that she suggested I keep a copy of the contract in the future...BTW, that was never an issue for us . We've been aware of what a contract is and fees that are associated with it when you want out early. I absolutely became rude at that point by telling her this was the worst experience and we wanted it over and would never recommend this place to anyone. We have been to multiple gyms over the years and have never seen such a lack of professionalism. What I wanted to prevent was exposing why we wanted out of this gym, but after this experience I would hate for anyone to get stuck in this mess as we were. In our opinion, the gym is not clean, doesn't feel safe, and could have been the cause of a skin issue. I unnecessarily paid for this membership for several months due to the lack of customer services. in that time I do believe she would use the tanning bed off and on and didn't have any problems, so i think that may be one positive thing I can mention. I really hope this was just a fluke and others havent experienced this. It has been an hour since That phone call, the payment has been deducted from my account, and I have yet to receive the receipt that was suppose to be sent to my email.

This Crunch Fitness is kept up very well, weights aren't scattered, and the bathrooms were very neat and clean. Recommend it if you're in town looking for a worthy gym to head to if prioritize your fitness routine. Would definitely head back when I'm back in town. Twice he's done it around me while I was trapped on a treadmill. So I told him let me get out of the way, I didn't want that nastiness blown all around me AGAIN, BUT I MADE A MISTAKE and called it sh*t and he cancelled my membership for cussing him out. What a terrible person, no respect for his members. The amount of "stuff" he was blowing around kind of showed how long it had been since he'd last done it, so the place is rarely cleaned. The guy must never have heard of a vacuum or, at least, doing his "cleaning" during non-prime hours out of respect for his members, but not HERE!

I have been a member of Hogan Family YMCA since I started working there in high school. After I…read moregraduated, my family maintained a family membership, which I use when I come home for breaks and holidays. This branch offers several amenities including an indoor and outdoor pool, indoor walking track, basketball gym, fitness gym, exercise classes, child watch (8 weeks -12 years) and youth after school and summer programs. Each time I visit, my experience has been consistently positive. The staff at this branch are very friendly and overall the facility is clean and well-maintained without signs of overcrowding.

I signed my son up for their holiday camp. They allowed him to play in grass I stated he was…read moreallergic to in his files. When they called me regarding the situation they stated they just noticed he had environmental allergies (he has multiple environmental allergies stated) but did not tell me he played in the grass, till I later asked them. I had to leave work early to pick him up, and he had a severe allergic reaction, as he practically went into anaphylactic shock. I had to miss work the very next day to take him to the doctor to make sure his organs were still functioning appropriately. I paid $100 for two days with no refund. I emailed the director of the holiday camps about this situation, where she has yet to reply acknowledging the situation.
