Like many others, I have faced my share of challenges throughout this process. Achieving any goal demands dedication, hard work, and daily sacrifices. For me, it begins with rising early to walk for an hour and a half before heading to work, followed by training sessions with Bob at Heavy Metal Fitness twice a week, and additional home workouts for four more days each week. Although sticking to this routine has been challenging at times due to work and personal obligations, I have consistently observed a reduction in body fat and an increase in muscle. Alongside my training with Bob, I diligently track my macros every day under his guidance. It's worth noting that I eat more frequently throughout the day; I simply pay attention to what I consume. In the past five months, I have successfully shed more than 35 pounds and decreased my body fat by 4.5%. I can now see my obliques and abdominal muscles. Initially, I wore a size 36 in men's jeans, but I now fit into a size 32. I cannot remember the last time I wore size 32 men's jeans or have ever seen my abs. Every week, Bob monitors my progress, and recently, during a training session with him, he requested that I lift a 40lb dumbbell. Not knowing the workout, I was about to begin, he remarked, "The weight you are holding represents what you have shed over the past five months." While I take pride in this achievement, I have not yet reached my ultimate goal; however, I am confident with the training with Bob, following my macro plan and walking that I will attain it in due time. While the above mentioned is fine, the health benefits have been great. During a recent check-up with my primary care physician, my blood pressure and other test results were significantly better than what is typical for my age group. Although I am happy with my progress, the health advantages have been even better. In a recent appointment with my primary care doctor, my blood pressure and other results were considerably better than compared to what is normal for my age group. Friends and colleagues have noticed my physique and have asked me what am I doing. I always respond with the same message: "I am not special and or having amazing genetics; if you invest the time and effort, you can achieve the results you desire." I am eager to keep "trusting the process" with Bob. As a quick note, I almost never write reviews for products or services, but I felt compelled to share my experience, as I am sure many others have faced their own challenges. While I acknowledge that others may have had more favorable results, I am genuinely satisfied with my own outcomes. Thanks Bob.

I went into this location as it's the closest gym to me to set up a membership. I finally get through the process and at the end they spring a $99 enrollment fee on me. Since I have other memberships this seemed odd to me. I knew I wasn't supposed to be being charged for anything if I requested a basic membership. I declined and left. I called my insurance company just to verify and I was correct. They tried to scam me into paying an "enrollment" fee that I didn't need to pay. Needless to say I'll be back and as requested I'll have my insurance representative on the phone while we try this again.

The locker area and showers, although rarely used, are clean as a whistle. Cleanliness is next to Godliness and in my book this place is clean and that matters to me. The staff is youthful, friendly, knowledgeable and its service with a smile. The people that go to the Planet Fitness are from all backgrounds and ethnicities and very respectful of each other. There are plenty of beautiful purple machines to keep you busy along with free weights and cardio. Plenty of athletic things you can do and minus a lot of little kids, this place is geared towards serious adult body building. While there is no pool, sauna and steam room, the absence of these features keeps non-sense down. This is a great place!

People leave weights all over the floor when they are done, and no one ever puts them away. I find myself moving them all the time so no one trips over them and so we have space to work out. I mentioned to good points because I don't think that it's fair to an establishment for patrons to leave nasty reviews and not mention the positives. However, they seemed to have throttled down the hot water. You can only move the faucet so far and then it stops. I checked another shower, and it also was adjusted to limit hot water flow. I consider a nice hot shower a sort of reward for a good workout. This was not enjoyable. I could not wait to get out. Is this a feature of some new business model going forward? Saturday March 28, 2026 1:09pm I went into the sauna and saw this again. I decided to go to the desk to notify the MOD on duty Lauren. I told her and she acted as if it was ok. I told her the lady was currently in the sauna. I went back into the sauna the lady had the towel off showing her breast which is unacceptable at a family YMCA. I could even stand to stay inside the sauna due to this inappropriate behavior. The gym sauna isn't a spa this is what people need to understand when going into the sauna. If the YMCA has changed their rule I would love to see where members are able to be in the sauna naked. The workers should do a spot check throughout the day. As far I can see when I'm there they don't. I've also saw swimsuits in the sauna hanging on the heater which is very uncomfortable to see as this can cause a fire. I'm disappointed in the MOD she didn't address the concern.
