This Planet Fitness is super clean from the minute you enter the club. It sparkles and is kept up. Equipment is sparkling and sanitized. The locker area and showers, although rarely used, are clean as a whistle. Cleanliness is next to Godliness and in my book this place is clean and that matters to me. The staff is youthful, friendly, knowledgeable and its service with a smile. The people that go to the Planet Fitness are from all backgrounds and ethnicities and very respectful of each other. There are plenty of beautiful purple machines to keep you busy along with free weights and cardio. Plenty of athletic things you can do and minus a lot of little kids, this place is geared towards serious adult body building. While there is no pool, sauna and steam room, the absence of these features keeps non-sense down. This is a great place! read more

The temperature in the gym is always too high; it is just too hot. They need to up their cleaning game too. The floors are so dirty. People leave weights all over the floor when they are done, and no one ever puts them away. I find myself moving them all the time so no one trips over them and so we have space to work out. I do like that the free weight space is so large. I don't feel like I'm cramped by other people in that space. I love the deep tissue massage chairs too. read more

I joined this club a few weeks before covid hit. I have not used it but maybe 3 times. Every time i call to cancel the membership the person on the phone places me in a temp status. Now there is a bill over almost 100.00 associated with my account for something i did not use and tried to cancel over 8 times. Does anybody know how to cancel this membership and remove a bill. PF is a great place to work out. Masks ARE required but unfortunately that policy is not being enforced. I have talked to the people at the front desk on numerous occasions, reached out to PF headquarters regarding this, and have even sent pictures of people not wearing their masks. What a crazy place...no personal trainers , barely any free weights...mostly cardiovascular equipment. .All types of silly restrictions ; not allowed to make any noise of any kind.... while some crazy blue siren goes off every 15 minutes reminding you to behave or else.. you get reprimend for" slaming" or dropping weights, for checking your cell, talking to loud or grunting .. it's like working out at a library !!! Mostly catering to elderly out shape clientel ..even dough the place is cheap the work outs suck... who goes to gym to sit at a message chair??? And why does gym give this members pizza???there's so many healthier snacks ... Here's the deal, planet fitness is a nice place to work out, get a massage, tan or emerse oneself in the whole total body experience. Unfortunately, 2 of us signed up for their TBE and when we went to the front desk some lady told us she needed to see who the two people in front of us were. She actually treated us like we were lying then broke off from us to take care of people behind us. There in black and white our names were on the TBE board. I love going to this place but why have rules when not one of them is being enforced? First of all theres a dress code. Every time I'm there people mainly guys are wearing shirts that are not supposed to be worn there. Forget about the rule of phone calls in the lobby only. People are constantly on their phones disturbing other patrons. Also only about half the people wipe down the equipment after using it. Employees see all of this but do nothing about it. Most of them just stand behind the counter talking and joking. There are only one or two people who actually do any work. I've been to other Planets and the rules are enforced there. I do enjoy going here but may go elsewhere if rules arent going to be enforced. read more

I"ve always been into fitness but never thought I would join a gym. Im glad I did its a friendly atmosphere. The only negative is the older gentleman that try to start conversations with you while they are naked! This is not the gyms fault, Im sure they are at every gym. read more

WIFI SUCKS, ALMOST AS MUCH AS MANAGEMENT! The manager has such a bad attitude, like she has a chip on her shoulder, or maybe she doesn't have people skills. Either way she has poor management skills. The past two weeks the music has been way too loud, and when I mentioned this to the staff at the front desk they claimed that only the manager (who's never there) turned it up and is the only person that knows how to adjust it. REALLY?! In reality they came across as though they couldn't care less, took no ownership of the problem and offered absolutely no help in resolving the issue. Most of the regular stationary bikes are either worn out or in a malfunctioning state and this has been an issue for at least the past six months. Evidently, the club either can't afford to perform routine maintenance or simply replace worn out equipment. The bottom line is, you really don't receive much value for your money at Planet Fitness and the staff has little or no value and act like they couldn't care less. I wouldn't recommend Planet Fitness to anyone. read more

Five stars on our first experience at this location. Dalton gave my fiance and I a tour of the gym, he was very informative and answered all of our questions with a smile and great attitude. The gym is clean and has a comfortable feeling too. Great amenities btw! Half way through our tour we were excited and decided we wanted to sign up for the memberships. It was very affordable (we lucked out on the great deal going on right now) so we decided to upgrade to the Black Membership. Can't wait to start our workout tomorrow. I would give it "0" stars if I could..This place is ridiculous with communication!! I put my account on "freeze" during the pandemic and they still charged me the $39 annual fee for both me and my husband. If they would have told me this back in March, I would have cancelled then....In order to cancel the account, I have to go in and sign something (DURING A PANDEMIC!) in order to cancel the accounts! A few months back I was working out with my friend who it was their first time working out. I'm a young female in my early 20s and an older gentleman approached me degrading my workout and telling me that my extra weight was enough to make me not weight train. After a very scary and uncomfortable 20+ minute conversation with the man I approached a male worker who did nothing about the situation. The next day I came in and talked to the GM Max who had nothing to say. I even pointed the man out and still he did nothing. I come to this location often and still see the man who insulted me. This isn't the first time I've tried to talk to the GM about something serious. Every time I talk to Max I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall and it's meaningless. Even today I had to ask him twice to please clean the women's bathroom because there was actual human feces on the ground. Max has no confrontational skills and as a GM I feel like that is very unprofessional. When I'm at this gym too, the workers are also very unprofessional. Each time I'm there, I see about four or five workers just standing behind the desk only sometimes greeting people. Most of the time they are on their phones or goofing off. I don't know about you, but as a young female working out, I'd like to think that if I had serious complaints about the facility I can feel comfortable and secure enough to talk to the workers about it. Also on another note, the workers do seem judgmental toward me because I know they probably don't think I care enough for their customer service. And as a place where it's supposed to be "judgement free" it's not that way at all. If you're looking for $10 a month quality customer service you're in the right place. Come in and experience judgements, poop on the floor, and workers talking about consumers. read more

My new home Planet Fitness place since it's closer to my house and close to my job. Very clean, great atmosphere. Very kind staff. Make sure you get a black card because it will give access to massage chairs, massage beds, and tanning beds! I will always come back! read more

Update: 4-16-2018. I telephoned the Hammond facility and made an appointment with Max, the GM, at 5:30pm and went in to speak with him personally, regarding my unpleasant experience with Alyssa and Katie and to my disappointment, Max was not helpful, at all. After explaining to him the facts of my unpleasant experience and narrowed down to how employees Katie slammed the tanning door in my face without proper reasoning, and how Alyssa had a disrespectful and smart-aleck attitude towards me, he defensively and roughly told me that he had been given the heads up from some witnesses, prior to my meeting with him, that "I was dropping the swear word of F-bombs that day to the staff... ", which is a complete lie, much to my disgust. He further stated, that his employees did not give him any feedback, (oddly), and that it was witnesses who were standing around, who "called him that day, as it was happening, because they were concerned about the problem occurring at the time". I corrected him and said I did no such thing in using that swear word, ever, and am very much appalled by his accusation. He, then, stated, "Well, whether you did or not..." and I immediately corrected him again, stating I do not appreciate that whomever his witnesses were, had nothing to do with my experience and why they feel to add a fabricated story that I was using any F word, when I did not. He, further, stated that he has a continuing problem with the staff receiving bad treatment from other members and his staff is only trying to protect themselves. My comment to his remark was, his staff's other problems of members treating them bad, has absolutely nothing to do with my situation, and it is not to be compared nor joined to my situation, at all, so to bring that up is not only unfair but bias. Needless to say, I am following up with the corporate office on the staff about this entire problem and hope to resolve how I was treated negatively. This is, very much, unacceptable. Planet Fitness's motto is "to not judge" and that is exactly what is happening here, that I am being judged and with an accusation of using F words and more. Completely unacceptable. read more

SO, the last few days I went, the "lunks" are no longer there and the locker room lurkers are gone as well. However, I went Saturday morning to do cardio, this location opens at 7:00 am on Sat and Sun. I got there about 7:10 am, the gym was closed. I noticed about two dozen people waiting in their cars for the club to open. I stayed until about 7:20, when it still was not open, I left as I had things to do. If I could, I'd change my membership to another location that is more dependable. read more

It's mostly cardio, no surprise, but weights r always in place, machines are always clean, no squat rack but got smith machines and barbells with light weights attatched. Plenty machines for anything, bathrooms are excellent. A room for stretching. Good gym. Although it's a little smaller than the sherreville one, I prefer this one. read more
