I went to this location about 5 times when I was visiting my Father in Ogden last week. They had a great guest package that was very affordable. The staff was unbelievably welcoming and friendly. I absolutely loved this gym, it was so clean and it looked like it was built yesterday. They have absolutely everything that you would want in a gym. Is 8 AM on a Sat. and the gym is closed. Even though is clearly states on the doors the hours on Saturday are 6AM-7PM. There are at least a dozen mad people standing around and waiting in their cars. And a few people jogging around the parking lot. when you pay for a membership, you expect to be able to show up and workout. extremely annoying! read more

I have a membership but to the Layton facility and I have the black card so I can use any location. I've used the South Ogden location here twice now the first time I came in and I use the shower and there was a big crack in the floor of the shower pan so when you're standing on it, it creates a lip that you can cut your toe on or foot. I told the maintenance person that it needed to be repaired. That was six weeks ago just came in and use the shower again and it has not been repaired. These guys are waiting for a lawsuit. The city needs to come in and look at the faulty facility. Would not recommend this establishment. Showers are small, one changing stall for the whole bathroom. read more

Byer Beware! We thought we had signed up with our Medicare free membership but after we reviewed several charges on our bank account we realized we were being charged for a black card. The male employee who signed us up acted like he was new and took longer than we thought was usual. When we contacted Sid, she told us that a female had signed us up and they had our signatures on a contract and there was nothing they could do about it. They refused to refund our money. Very disappointed in how it was handled. I felt I'd been treated poorly and will not ever go back or recommend this place to anyone. read more

I like this gym. They have upgraded equipment and is kept clean. They need to keep up better with refilling the paper towels and disinfectant if they want us to clean between uses. I don't like that so many people slam weights and nobody talks to them. It's disruptive and frankly painful to the ears, especially when you are working out close by. I think management could do a better job enforcing policies but overall, it's a fairly well run gym. read more

Some people think I'm strange for paying for a gym membership when there's a perfectly good free gym I can use on base, but sometimes I just don't feel like driving there or running into someone I know. I go to the gym to work out, not socialize. It helps that this place is like seven minutes from my apartment too. The guys working the front desk are always friendly, seemingly happy to be there. The equipment is always in working order and there are tons of machines at your disposal, which is more than I can say for the gym on base. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Had to ban them from my bank account as fraudulent activity since I canceled my membership here and they kept taking more and more money out of my account. What's funny is I already talked to the manager at this location saying once it was canceled the charges needed to stop. They obviously didn't care. Customer service here is terrible and the gym is lacking too. There a lot better gyms around and I'm so glad I canceled my membership with them. Will never return to a planet fitness gym after the way I was treated and with the fraudulent charges. read more

So far, so good. I'm not a big meathead or gym goer for that matter, so I wasn't too concerned about going to Planet Fitness with their "no gym-timidation". A lot of people complain about PF... they don't like the Pizza Mondays, Bagel Tuesdays, weird rules, and purple equipment. Me? I don't care. I just wanted a cheap membership with no contract. I only have the basic membership so I don't get the black card perks like tanning, hydro massage, etc. Maybe one day I'll upgrade to it, but if I do it'd be for the perk of being able to workout at any Planet Fitness and being able to bring guests for free. I think those two perks are pretty incredible, but I currently don't have the need for it. You get unlimited training with the basic membership. I took advantage of the Create Your Own Program class. Sue is incredible. As she stated, she's been around the block and been in the fitness industry for a while. She's nice. She's knowledgeable. She's strong. And I totally respect her advice. I'd highly recommend talking to her about your goals. This place is mostly cardio machines, but they do have some benches, free weights, weight machines, stretching area, and a section that is more crossfit/bootcamp. Sue teaches a 30 minute class for the bootcamp area that I will probably take in the future. The gym is smaller than I expected and it can get crowded during peak times, but for now it's good enough for me. read more

I have to say, I'm extremely DISSATISFIED with Planet fitness! Never having been here, I went with my wife who has been a member for quite a few years, we took a small tour and I was so excited to see red light therapy, tanning, massage and hydro chairs beyond just the working out gear! Come to my surprise, ONLY the members can use the "spa" area, not the guests. I suppose in my mind im not a guest, I'm her wife, so we ask is there anything we can do so I can use that benifit because my wife NEVER will. I was told I would have to have my own membership, are you crazy? That's ridiculous, 2 memberships when there's only 2 of us in our household? I was more than disappointed that the manager refused to do anything to accommodate one of their members, so instead of keeping the black membership I had my wife down grade her membership why should she pay for something she WILL NEVER USE, I would but I'm not willing to pay for 2 memberships. It stinks I can't go with her as her guest but I didn't think that was right. Just goes to show you, customer service is so lacking these days, you would think you'd want to keep the black card membership in place, I guess not! read more

No idea how old the gym is, but looks and smells new. Poorly staffed, but I guess that is the expectation on a Sunday here. I would say if you can't properly staff Sunday's, close. They had stairs, big plus. All in all, a fine gym for a Sunday sweet. read more

At first this gym seemed great. Then the pandemic happened. I understood that my account would be paused due to the world was paused. This company thought otherwise and continuously charged me during the pandemic. My last visit with this gym was in April 2019. It is 2022 June my last bank withdrawal to this company to date. I have not visited this gym since the pandemic. I have called numerous times to request a cancellation of my membership. They told me I need to come in person to sign paperwork stating I am no longer a member. I've done that literally in the bountiful Utah location. This was my original membership location. Since my numerous calls my numerous visits do nothing even though staff code says oh yes we see your last visit was April 2019 clearly you close your account however you need to officially do it again I sign paperwork. Next month my bank account is with drawled $40, it might seem like $40 isn't anything but 2019 to 2022 of from April to June do the math it's a few hundred dollars, I'm sorry this company is trash stay away it's a scam they don't care about the customers they care about the money. And because they don't trust me when I say I don't want to be a part of your gym I closed my bank account so when they go to charge my bank account next month there's no bank account so maybe they'll get the message. This company is garbage it's trash stay away. I challenge anyone in upper corporate management because literally I have text messages receipts documentations that said multiple times by one out I'm not interested in being part of this company this membership maybe I have a lawsuit I don't know anyone wants to join me in this conversation maybe class-action suit I don't know this company is garbage they don't care about its customers. Oh and should I talk about the facilities like the feces in the women's bathroom I don't know, or the sexual harassment that goes unnoticed or unwarranted even when I've told the staff of creepers creeping on my daughter and myself and they don't give a crap. If you're looking for a gym where you can just go and casually workout and you're not trying to get massive and be an Olympic athlete... Then I would say this is your place. I'm not a meat head and I don't enjoy having grunting contests and carrying around a protein shake bottle and only working out my upper body so I love it here. I work out to feel good and get a full body workout. This place is really clean and really big. It has a little bit of everything and they offer it all at a really cheap price. The main thing that keeps me going here is the fact that they want their customers to have a great experience here without feeling like they have to worry about what others are going to do or say. It's a pretty friendly place. The other thing is the price. It's $10 a month for just a normal membership with whole access to all of the gym. You won't find a cheaper price! Like I said, if you're training to be an Olympic heavy weight lifter, go somewhere else. If you're just l looking to get in shape and put on a little muscle, go here! I love it. read more

I liked this because it was super close to my house convenient. Super clean and nice. The only problem I have is that they take out more then the contract is. It was 10 something a month. They took out 40$. So I canceled it. Got a receipt showing I ended it with no fees, I have no fees for this month and will owe nothing at all. Still kept taking out of my bank account. Called customer service and they couldn't do anything for me. Went in multiple times with my receipt to get my money back and every time they couldn't help me because apparently no manager was there. Ended up blocking them at my bank from taking money out. read more

I've gone here for years, I have even talked up this Mediocre gym. I helped a previous GM fix several problems that several members were complaining about. I have vouched for this gym while my friends/acquaintances complained about it's pathetic attempt to be a real gym. They have closed gym after gym(Roy, No. Ogden). Today was the first I'm flabbergasted at how I was treated by employees. Even the GM him self. Rude and ignorant people. I do not recommend this gym. Management has scheduled the most inconvenient time for cleaning, between 5:30 and 6:30 pm. By managements own stats, this is busiest time. Plan on waiting to get into locker rooms, or have vacuum cords or mops tripping you up as you move through your workout. Since I'm coming from work, access to locker room is critical. Moving to different gym because of this. Surely cleaning can be done at a less busy time? Management needs to understand that it's the little things that will retain members. read more

An acquaintance with membership at this location, has taken me several times as "guest." Late night operations seem to include a staff of one. Daytime staff is 3 or 4 persons. But no matter the time, employee disposition reflects anything but helpfulness. Also observed the same disinterested treatment toward other customers. A couple times, customers complaining that their tanning bed was not ready for use because it was dirty from its last use, were in essence informed cleaning it yourself - or don't use it. We have been dismayed perhaps a half-dozen times, witnessing staff reprimanding customers with a clear tone of condescension and aggravation, that this or that paper must be signed for certain equipment before use. It is quite a statement but apt to say that not even as a guest, do I ever care to visit pF again. Apathy like that, suggests management exemplifies and condones such poor treatment of paying customers. read more

I went into the gym to cancel and asked very specific questions about the annual fee. Jax at the counter told me I canceled in time and I wouldn't be charged. 4 days later I was charged and when I went into the gym to talk to the manager, she said sorry we can't refund it. It's in your agreement. I had a receipt from the employee about canceling and nowhere on there did it mention that I would still get charged the annual fee. They are scammers! read more

I would feel ungrateful if I didn't publically thank the staff at Planet Fitness. Aleeah and Deeleah went above and beyond their job titles! I locked myself out of my vehicle and couldn't remember my contact numbers so that I could have someone pick me up. Worse experience of my life! Kayla the manager was rude, cold and not a nice person to talk to by any means. I was lied to by a different employee that when I upgraded my plan there would be no cancellation fee and she did the steps to upgrade on there iPad. I understand there are policy but when I tried to tell Kayla what happen she continually repeated herself like a broken record not willing to listen to what happen. Again I get there is policy and asked if there was anything she can do or anyone I can talk to she rudely said "I can't make adjustments for everyone who comes in here" I said I understand but I was mislead and she said she doesn't care and she can't take me by what I said. I have never been treated so rudely and dismissed in any gym I have ever been too. I definitely am under exaggerating the situation. to whom it may concern, i am writing to inform you of my experience with one of your franchisees, in ogden, as well as with your accounts payable department in located in logan (tammy). last year 4/11/16, i went in to purchase a one year membership with your company. i paid in cash. it was contingent on it only being a one year contract and after that it would cancel. i made this very clear to the not only the manager of the club but the employee she assigned the job of signing me up. she stated to that it would not be a problem to both myself and my witness. when she assigned the employee to take over for her i restated to him i only want this for a year and after that i want the account cancelled, when he asked me for my bank information. after speaking again with the manager he came back and said it would not be a problem and they would put in a dumby account. naturally i was surprised when on 4/11/17 i got an email about my account. so i emailed on 4/19 i emailed back restating to close the account. i then got a letter saying the account was past pue from tammy. i called both tammy and the club and was pretty much called a liar. even though all of the events that happened on 4/11/16 were not only with the manager but in front of my witness. i was told not deal with planet fitness that they would try to screw me over. i was sure that this would not be the case. i was however very wrong. not only was i lied to by management i also had managers and top managers call me a lair. i was hoping to continue to do business with your company. however after my treatment, you have lost my business. read more
