I have been working out in gyms since 1985. have worked out at PF on and off for the past 15 years. This is by far the worst gym I have ever worked out in. Equipment constantly broke, they fix it and it breaks again a week later. Staff is okay given what the owners make them work with. The biggest complaint is the utter lack of gym etiquette. People occupying several machines at once. Slamming weights??? If you have to slam a weight it means you're pushing more weight than you can handle. Control through the entire set. What ever happened to the Lunk Alarm? I would invest in a home gym before I returned to this gym. Plus they need another one within a 10 mile radius. Poor owners. read more

The gym is nice and clean but the staff on the other hand has to be some of the stupidest people working there i tried canceling my membership 3 TIMES they lied everytime and said they did then id get a payment on the 21 i did it AGAIN she cancelled it after standing at the computer for 30 minutes acting like she was lost she told me i wouldn't be charged and can use it till next month on the 21st I got charged today and called and guess what she lied about how to cancel again she lied about no more payments and best of all you won't get your money back they've taking $150 from me AFTER TRYING TO CANCEL I lawyered up because my bank said this is theft at its finest good luck guys hope to see you shut soon!!! read more

This place is absolutely gross. I wanted to start using this location after work but will not be back after I saw the state of the bathrooms. The showers all crawling with bugs. Pubes, trash and dirt in all the showers and the men's locker loom smells awful. The inside of the gym is extremely dusty and dirty as well. read more

They used to be pretty lax about the eyeware rule when using the tanning booths. They suddenly reduced tanning times from 12 to 9 minutes and got very strict about eyeware, demanding to see your eyeware and rejecting you with no exceptions. My tanning goggles were in my other gymbag and they wouldn't let me wear my sunglasses as a substitute. They also didn't have any goggles for sale, so I basically came 20 minutes one way for nothing and left. Idc how cheap it is, if you waste 40 minutes of my time because you are unnecessarily strict about an inconsequential rule, you have cost me enough to want to cancel. Right now don't have a ton of time to waste. The right way to have handled this would have been to say "since we are out of goggles just go in and next time make sure you have them," which is what a normal person would have done. You don't need to be a boyscout poindexter about a rule to the point of wasting their time, especially when you dont have goggles to sell. No one is going to get hurt or sue for one session. Overall great gym, has all necessities but room for improvement. I currently hold a black card membership. Positives: 1)Great costs. 2)VIP - Their black card gives access to message chairs, water messages, tanning booths and more. 3)High ceilings, clean gym floor with sanitizer stations. 4)Friendly young staff. 5) Has nearly all machines and free weights that you would want. Negatives: 1) Terrible water. If you live in Florida then you understand bad water quality. Even though there are supposedly filters here, im not sure if they are working. 2) Gym showers are COLD most times and smell like urine constantly. 3) Hand sanitizer pumps around gym are usually empty. read more

After extensive online research we came into this location to check the company out. Based on online research Planet Fitness had the best pricing for the plans they had available. This one is a little bit of a drive for us but it was worth it. Plus we understand they are building a location in Davenport so that one will be closer to us. When we arrived at the location we were able to walk right in and and up to the counter. Once again we met with the manager who offered us a water and had us take a seat. First we took a look around at what they had for machines. They have two levels of membership but getting a black card is the best choice if you want access to everything. The regular membership gives you access to the bulk of the gym including all the machines and the locker rooms. With the black card you also have access to the spa which has some good massage chairs. My personal favorite is the water massage. My kids got the black cards but I got my membership through silver sneakers. I only get the basic membership so I don't get discounts on drinks but that works out just fine for me. I also can upgrade to a black card at a deeply discounted rate. They are quite a large gym with an excellent selection of machines. Locker rooms have lockers but you have to provide your own lock and they also have the restrooms and showers. The entire place is kept quite clean and they have stations all throughout with the cleaning supplies for machines. After you use a machine you grab some paper towels spray them with the cleaner and wipe down the machines anywhere that your body touches it. One of the things I really like about them is that they are manned 24/7. This means that no matter what time you are there to work out you can get assistance if you need it. This is an all-inclusive judgment free gym. This has been quite a nice experience as none of us are in great physical condition so we have all been very happy with the whole experience. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone who was in need of a place to work out whether it be once in a while or even on a daily basis. read more

I have been in town for the past several months and was excited to find a PF that is still open 24/7. The work out space is all pretty nice and well kept. The locker room and showers However is totally disgusting and at time unusable. Tons of the lockers have locks on them that have been on them since the first day I have come in. The real issue is the shower condition. They are totally disgusting which for someone that prefers to shower at the gym after their workout is totally unacceptable. The staff is friendly, and they keep it clean. That's how they keep a barely average rating. However, currently 2/3 (4 of the 6) stair masters are broken. Seems that each week another goes down. There are 2 leg presses for general use (plus one in the circuit area). They're both broken. And they have been since 2022 (or longer). There are 2 standing tanning pods... one is broken. The gym needs to invest in a maintenance/repair contract! read more

Nice new Planet Fitness. It was busy at first but we seemed to have found some times that aren't as busy now. Mid morning is great. Well kept and plenty of aerobic equipment. Fewer upper and lower body machines but it's usually not so busy that something is available to use. read more

The gym for Karens. I had an employee stop me during my circuit for not wiping down equipment, telling me it is their policy. I am doing a circuit workout which now requires me spending half my time playing janitor. Their policy states "After you've finished your workout, we ask that members please be courteous and wipe down the equipment, and return any weights or other accessories to the designated storage areas." Finishing a set in a circuit is not finishing a workout. I literally have to do 50 wipe downs during a workout, spending as much time doing that as working out. If you think they're "stopping the spread", think again. Now instead of 5% of people getting my cooties everyone gets to grab the same spray bottle that I've touched 50 times. Trading off a good workout for a useless procedure to ease the minds of people who should probably consider buying a home gym. I'll be looking into other options. They should take down the picture on their website of an employee cleaning equipment. That is your job. read more

I wasn't a big fan of planet fitness because I preferred to go to gyms that also offer spa services. Saunas, steam rooms and pool. However I decided to take a tour of the new location built near my home. I was pleasantly surprised. The location is big, plenty of parking, locker rooms very nice with changing rooms and showers. Spacious lockers. Plenty of equipment. But what really sold me was when I experienced the hydro massage( oh what a treat). Now I use them after every work out session. They also have a lounge area with TVs, massage chairs and tanning rooms. The staff at the front desk are always pleasant. Greeting you as you enter and exit. They have hand sanitizer and sanitizer sprays located throughout the gym so that you can sanitize the equipment before and after use. I also observed the staff constantly sanitizing areas throughout the gym. Need I say more!!!! You do get a bang for your buck. I am no longer looking for a spa type gym. This is my new gym and I'm here to stay. Oh and if you ever felt uncomfortable working out in a gym. This place doesn't have that feeling. There is something for everyone. Absolute WORST experience trying to cancel my membership. I cancelled Feb. 10th, before the required date to not be charged for February, and they said my account never "synced", but they will get it taken care of "right away". Flash forward to Feb. 21st, I got charged again. Called the store, and was told the old GM quit, and must have forgotten to take care of my account before leaving, but I will be refunded for Feb. - $26.86. Between the 21st and March 1st, I called 6 times to verify my account was taken care of and that a refund was given, and every time to get told that the GM was going to take care of it. Now, March 1st, I got charged AGAIN for the annual fee of $53. So now, not only have they not successfully cancelled my account almost a month later, they also have charged me almost $80 since cancelling. The only thing the GM can say is "if you get a charge, we can refund you". Okay, so where is my refund from February? You charged me again, before even refunding me from your previous mistake. It is not okay to say, "it's the back end were waiting on to fix your account" and turn around and continue to charge me. Absolutely horrendous, 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Until cancelation, it was fine, however this experience has been absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Clermont store needs to regulate temp & timed showers better...seems like when anyone there uses water your shower instantly goes cold, then very hot. Constantly adjusting it wasting your timed shower. Other than that Bathrooms are pretty good read more

DO NOT JOIN PLANET FITNESS. HORRIBLE MEMBERSHIP and HIDDEN FEES !!!! They are completely unreasonable charging 40 dollars in club fees after 1 month of "non commitment membership". If you cancel your membership 5 days before the billing cycle they will still charge you for the next month because they know most people dont read the long agreement in full for a lousy gym membership. Thats how they make their money . Also Management is really nasty, very poor customer service. The people at the front desk are nice , but management has a bad attitude. You are better off joining CF Fitness. At least their employees are honest about the hidden fees when you walk in. PF will make it clear that your membership is of no value to them and would rather you walk then refund you any money of any sort, even if you are dead and couldnt use the gym they dont care. So thats fine, I will have my 3 sons move their membership to CF Fitness as well. Now they lost 3 customers . HORRIBLE customer service! read more

I canceled my planet fitness membership 5 days before my new bill period, and they said because it was so close..they had to charge me for the full month of February, just checked my bank account - getting charged for March also and it seems they have no employees because no one answers the phone. When someone did answer, they stated that the paperwork was not filed and they are still going to change me for Feb AND MARCH!!!! Hi, I was in the the gym Tuesday night 4/27 and towards the end of my workout I went to the desk to sign in for a Hydro-massage. It was approximately 10:40 pm. There was nobody behind the desk, I continued to wait a few minutes and nobody returned to the desk so I went to the mens room to take a leak and also look for an employee to sign me in. I also peaked in the VIP room to look for an employee. Upon returning the desk there were two members (1 male and 1 female) waiting to pay for bottled waters. I told them I couldn't find an employee as I wanted to sign in for a massage. The girl took off frustrated with her three bottled waters and headed toward the gym floor to possibly look for and employee to ring her up with. She did not return to the desk so I guess the waters were free. The other gentleman patiently waited for an employee so he can pay for the bottle water and even called to main phone but nobody answered. I told him just grab a post it and leave a dollar in which I believe he did. So now waiting for 20 minutes another member comes to fridge and grabs a bottle water and I told him I did not see him and employee for 20 minutes. He laughed and said the employee is in the back sleeping and he always does this. I was blown away at the members response. I guess he was happy about getting his free water that night. I really like this Gym but was really disappointed that I was not able to get my Hydro-Massage that is part of my membership after my workout. I didn't feel like it was my responsibility to find the sleeping employee to wake him up. It was about 11:00pm and decided to just leave. I hope this comment gets to the right people so Planet Fitness can do better. read more

The gym is nice overall but I do have two issues. People need to re-rack the plates on the smith machines. If you use them put them back it's not hard. My second complaint is the lack of room for people using matts. Make more room! Besides these two complaints, PF is a not a bad place to work out. read more
