I use my Black Card to visit other Planet Fitness locations while traveling and I have been to this location multiple times. The facility is clean and has a wide variety of equipment. The staff was friendly. I opine that the machines could be laid out a bit more effectively for individuals going machine to machine for a lower or upper body workout - I realize that the space is the space and machines are not small so perhaps this isn't possible. My other input is to level up more of the Matrix weight lifting machines. I will enjoy this Planet Fitness going forward! read more

Kevin, an employee at this location, asked my wife to play with his "joystick" and then grabbed her. We reported the situation to Jayme, the manager, who tried to turn the situation on my wife when they spoke. Then Jayme kicked me out when I tried to talk with her about it. 10 years I have been going to this gym. My membership is canceled. I have to echo the review about the problems in the circuit training area. Not once have I experienced any client there to do the circuit, but many people (normally 2 to 3) come in and hog individual machines. One client had the audacity to tell me that all of the signage were merely "suggestions" and she learned online to ignore the directions and do 42 reps on each machine. Please dear lord, start monitoring as the signs state. I love everything else, but I am not there to waste time running to the desk to complain multiple times during my workout that the vast majority of folks in the circuit are are NOT ever doing the circuit. Veronica is so rude, sarcastic, and impatient!!! The machines are good. Veronica was impatient when I was saying I needed email receipt for canceling membership. She sarcastically said when she's done putting request in system, and I said obviously when you're done doing it. She didn't like that with her fake smile. But I smiled right back. Also, I said I just wanted to be sure it was sent to me. She said something about being done and I said I'm reading information before I sign document. She didn't like that either. So impatient. I signed and she said she saw me since she's right in front of me. Who says that? The old bitch must need laid!!! She's got serious mental issues to act like that with customers!!! Got this membership just to do red light and tanning at a good price and I've been there 2 months now and they have yet to get new bulbs for red light and all of them but 5 have gone out...... the people that work there are very nice and helpful but not happy about the red light just to add I notified manager over a month ago they say they have no ifea when bulbs will come in I have asked weekly read more

I visit as a guest a few times per year when I'm in town. I work out a Gold's Gym when I'm home. I prefer the Gold's environment but this PF works and I'm never made to feel like an outsider here. The staff is always welcoming and the pass is for 24 hours so you can get to visits for one charge if you plan it out. Overall I recommend this as a day pass visitor. read more

There are some things to like here. It's clean and the staff are helpful and friendly. Don't go there and expect to do the 30 minute workout in order and not wait while someone uses one machine extensively or sits at a machine on their phone. If the 30 minute workout area was monitored this would be a much better experience. read more

Ive been a member of planet fitness for close to 5 years. go regularly. I also travel for a living, but sioux falls is my home base. One of the downsides of coming home is i have to go to this gym. After multiple states, this seriously is always the worst one. They have never had any friendly staff, their equipment literally smells. But also- ive been denied tanning service even when i showed my eye protection, and its on my membership. Alot of the staff are not friendly or helpful at all, and ive seen them go through a good amount of employees the last 2 years. After ever three months of work when i come home, i hope its gonna be different. Nicer staff, doesnt smell, clean lockerroom, and it NEVER changes. read more

I have been fraudulently charged for a membership I did not authorize for the past four years. I was offered a refund for 3 months out of the 48 months they have pilfered my bank account to the tune of $1,800. Come to find out when Fitness 19 went bankrupt they "transferred" memberships to Planet Fitness. I was not notified if this and did not authorize another facility to withdraw money from my account. I have never set foot in the place yet was still charged. I realize I should have been looking at my bank statement closer but that does not make what they did right. read more

Had the worst experience ever for tanning on 10/29/19. I went in as usual to tan before work. My usual bed was being used so I figured I'd use the stand up bed. I was told to use the bed straight ahead from me. I went in that specific room. Spent 12 minutes minimum waiting for the ved to start. I had to get dressed full of lotion looking all crazy asking why my bed never started. The lady proceeded to yell at me in front of everyone that I went into the wrong room. When I saw the bed I wanted was available I told her I would take that bed. She Then followed me and said she needed to clean that bed. I told her I would clean that bed myself. I then went in the room lock their door. I proceeded to clean that bed myself. She then proceeded to knock on the door screaming she needed proof that bed with clean. Made me get redressed. I opened the door let her come in clean the bed the entire time she was cleaning the bed she was screaming at me being very rude telling me I was being rude told me she was going to kick me out of Planet Fitness because I chose to go into the wrong room had Planet Fitness given me the proper orientation and tour I would have known the room I went in was not an actual tanning bed but a toning bed. I had begged her to stop yelling at me and she just leave the room so I could get my tanning finished. She continued to yell at me for another minimum of 2 minutes. She finally left the room. I finished tanning and was upset the entire time. I have been a member with Planet Fitness for 6 months and have never had a bad experience up until this a new employee I miss the summer employees in this new employee has a loud mouth and she needs to go before other people leave-in cancel their membership like I intend to. read more

I've been a PF member for about 2 years, and have probably used 30 locations nationwide. So, I've noticed some things about each location which make them unique. As for Sioux Falls, here are some highlights: 1) The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the workout floor. As some of you know, this isn't always the case at other gyms. 2) Well-kept. Staff goes on regular rounds to ensure weights are where they should be, equipment is clean, sprays/towels are stocked, etc. 3) The staff is great. I've interacted with most of them and am impressed with the team as a whole. Josh (Manager) is an exceptional young professional, and has a bright future ahead. Always friendly and helpful. He greeted me by name on my 2nd visit, which is remarkable unto itself. Kudos to whomever hired him. As a 20-year Recruiter, I know what talent looks/sounds like. 4) The clientele at this location are good about wipe-downs, and are courteous gym members. I've yet to observe any mirror-flexing weight-droppers intent on showing their fellow gym-goers who's boss. Even at "busy times," I've never had to wait for equipment. There is plenty to go around. 5) Large parking lot with plenty of space, and a great location off a main drag. And there are plenty of nearby post-workout refueling spots nearby for a post-workout snack. 6) The Black Card upgrade is worth every penny. As someone with chronic back problems, I almost always end my workout on the hydro massage tables. And I'm sure I'll probably use the tanning equipment come February, when my body is crying out for Vitamin D. Overall, I give them an A. Otherwise, I'd sweat somewhere else. read more

I've been a member since their membership drive in December 2014 (8 months now). Not for one minute do I regret leaving my high priced full service gym. PF is for the person who actually plans to work out, their staff is friendly, the place is clean, and the machines (I've counted about 220) are always working. Their no-judgment zone policy is actually enforced, so we see other clients wiping down the machines and I don't see the rude behaviors that "full service gym" seemed to encourage. I think it might be 5 stars after the remodel-- right now, the only problem is that the circuit training area isn't monitored well enough--- we have folks who sneak back there and think they can use the machines any way they wish and in any order they wish, but that is getting rarer by the week. The remodel locates it in full view of the front desk, so this problem evaporates in just a few weeks. Love the massage chairs, the hydromassage, and the price! Cannot beat this in Sioux Falls. read more
