I was there yesterday 4/23/25 and was treated horribly by the staff. That young girls were beyond rude but especially the one with the multiple face piercings (that are rad btw) but she was just awful to deal with. She was very put out by me for asking questions because I was probably interrupting her drawing time. It was just a strange and awful experience. I walked out feeling gross like I was talked down upon and it bothered me for over an hour after leaving. I wish I had the experience the other people here giving a rating did. read more

Spectacular vibes in this place! I pop in occasionally for my hemp wraps. The staff is super friendly and attentive. Honestly this is my favorite smoke shop in San Antonio so far. They have a lot of cool things to look at and a huge stock of smoke supplies. They were the only ones that had the the glass pieces out of 4 smoke shops we tried in San Antonio and the staff is super friendly and helpful! BEWARE AND DON'T GO TO THIS LOCATION!!! I just left the store and Jonathon is a complete jerk. Customer service is horrible. I suppose that these kids are bothered by having to work while at work. He was rude and too occupied which his phone to ask if I needed help while I was standing at the counter searching for what I needed. Once asked he did help me but acted like he was put out by having a customer interrupt whatever he was doing on his phone. I asked simple questions and he didn't know what I was talking about and treated me like I was the idiot. I mistakenly went ahead and purchased an item but because of the way I was treated I wanted to return it before I even left the counter and he very rudely refused. I understand that it's store policy but after the way I was treated I decided that I didn't want to spend my money at this store. I should have just gone to the mellow monkey. The staff is outspoken with their sage advice when it comes to how these water pipes work, or how to grow tomatoes in your closet. They have a wide array of glass pipes to smoke your tobacco with. How chill of a Planet K does one have to be if they have a cool cat named Pantera just sleeping away his day on shelves, soda machines, and the highest (no pun intended) shelves in this place?! Real CHILLLLLLL. Came in this weekend with my sister to buy some incense and browse the store as I know all Planet K's in San Antonio always have the coolest and rarest metal bands & metal-themed stickers and posters. Plenty of items were on sale for the Memorial holiday as the staff was cool enough to remind us of sales on candles and handbags. The location is easy to find (and see from Broadway Ave) and easy to park at. We were approached by a man in the parking lot as soon as we came out of the store, but, he was kind enough to not hassle us after explaining we didn't have cash on us. Even the cashiers inside walked us out and watched out for us. I appreciated that gesture. read more

Bad service 100% was left waiting in line for 10 min behind some greedy customer who kept jumping in and out of line wanting to buy the whole store manager did nothing about it. Came in for hemp wick at least four times and every time I asked for it they get upset like you know we don't have it. I came in first thing this morning to exchange an item I had purchased previously 10/23/2020 (receipt attached). The first girl told me they'd accept the exchange but couldn't give me a refund. I did NOT want a refund because the items purchased were for Christmas gift and I needed to make additional purchases. When I went back to the counter Lynette(sp?) said she couldn't help me because my purchase was sooooo long ago and it's their store policy. I advised Lynette that I wasn't aware of the policy and she rudely replied it's on the receipt (which it is not). Lynette continued to be rude by interrupting and being condescending saying things "like you said; it's only $7". I come to this store 2-4 a month and spend at least $40-$80 a visit. The return policy is NOT printed on the receipt, nor does the in store policy reference their 30day policy which Lynette so rudely misquoted as she was NOT show me on the attached store policy. In store policy list items they do not exchanges or returns on and my item is not listed. I was denied a contact for the manager, so please contact me to address to resolve the issue and so I may make my additional purchases, then update my review. read more

They will probably have what you're looking for, if you can get through the nearly unbearable smugness of that hipster superiority complex coming at you 100%. I've been coming to Planet K longer than most of these people working here and yeah, I get it - im too old and uncool looking for you wanna hang with but guess what, I don't wanna be buddies really either; i just don't want to regret spending my hard earned money supporting a business that honestly does not give a flying f^@k whether I get anything resembling help to decide what to get. I was literally told to get out of the way whilst waiting to pay. I am honestly wondering if being a d!@k is a requirement for being employed here?! I am not even joking; i really think that's intentionally ingrained in their training. I walked in and said hello (attempting civil discourse), as I was nervous about the attitude I've received in the past here and OF COURSE there was no reply, proceeded to ask about product which isn't cheap and got a shrug of the shoulders. The community glass pipe I keep at my house for guests was tragically taken from my place only to be broken and never returned. Since it was originally purchased from planet k, I went back there to find a replacement. I was looking for something with the exact same quality and price range I originally paid for my clearance piece. Joe was quick to help and sympathize about my loss and recommended a new replacement that was way cheaper than my clearance one but equally good. What he recommended was half the price of the clearance price I paid for so basically a fourth of the original pipes worth. I was like nah, there's got to be something better. This is where u would expect the eye roll but instead I got a smile and a ok to showing me not one but four other options. Needless to say none were good enough so in defeat I told him to show me what he first recommended. This is when I thought I would surely get the eye roll but I was wrong, all I got was a knowing half smile as he showed me the pipe. So yeah, long review short, Joes recommendation within the first min of talking to him was the right choice. I admit I should've listened to the pro in the first place and if u took the time to read this whole review then don't waste more time not trusting Joe at planet k. He knows what's up. read more
