I'm so glad we made Belle & Union our final stop in San Antonio! My boyfriend and I were looking for stationery stores when we came across this beautiful shop, and we're so happy we did. The shop manager, Lori, made our visit unforgettable. She was incredibly kind and took the time to show us the fountain pens as well as introduced us to all the wonderful products the shop offers. You can really tell how much she cares about the customers. If you're a stationery lover or even just curious about fountain pens/journals or the paper goods they have to offer, this is absolutely the place to visit. ADORABLE BOUTIQUE ALERT - loved this place! So many cute things - jewelry, candles, books, stationary, totes, pens, gifts and more. I got my favorite pair of earrings here from a local vendor (mom and daughter) and I get compliments all the time. I also got a present for my friend here and she loved it. The service was next level - surrounded by bubbly, kind women who clearly love what they do. Loved this place and love shopping local. Will certainly be back for Christmas shopping soon! I went in there to get a fountain pen for a Christmas gift and I had the most amazing experience picking it out with the ladies there! They were very knowledgeable about the stationery and even showed me their own pens/notebooks. The pens were on the pricier side BUT the price is well worth it. I enjoy going to stationary and gift shops in new cities that I visit. As I was on a work trip to San Antonio, I decided to stop into this shop and I absolutely fell in love. This is one of the most adorable places that I have been able to go to as I have been touring different shops across the country and the globe. The service is wonderful. Michelle is a kind person who takes a genuine interest in who you are as a person and your journey, which makes shopping there so much fun. She will answer all of the questions you have. The selection is in someways limited when it comes to journals compared to some other stores like papersource, but they do have a variety of options in multiple colors and types as well as multiple pens and planners. There are a number of amazing smelling candles and they usually have one that is lit in the shop. While the items are a bit pricey, you know you are getting high quality, locally sourced items that are priced competitively. read more

This place is beautiful and inviting. The yellow door made me happy, and I love the way its decorated. I am assuming this store is new, as they didn't have certain things in stock, but I left with a lot of stuff, and I was happy. They do custom.invites and things like that, so check them out, they have stationary, journals, and culinary gifts too. read more

I walked into this store because it looked so cute inside and I ended up buying wedding gifts for my mom, my mother-in-law, and each of my bridesmaids! This is a crafty gal's dream shop, as this neat place holds workshops and works with antique letterpress machines to produce delicate, gorgeous stationary. They will even stamp pencils with a personalized message! There is something for everyone here, and I mean it. Cookbooks, wooden utensils, fine ceramic china, ROLLING PINS, stuffed toys, aprons, bath bombs, bath salts, BEARD WAX WHAT, anything homemade and crafty, they do it. They even have some beautiful jewelry for sale, too! The owners and managers will work with you one on one to help you choose or even create your own stationary, and make sure you take the time to get to know them. They are interesting and passionate people and this store is obviously a labour of love for them. So show them some! I came here last year when they had a Yelp event for Valentine's Day which was a lot of fun. Meg, the owner owner came and talked to us about how Belle & Union was founded, the creative workshops they offer and did a demonstration on their letter press machines for their personally engraved cards. They had a scavenger hunt around the store and winners would receive a price. In addition, you could reserve the room in the back for studying etc. All products from Belle & Union are made in the USA which is unique. The owner was nice enough to let us take a personal engraved card with us, along with some chocolate goodies/cookies. When I saw on their website they were doing a mystery box with double the price. They have three different mystery box values with four different areas to choose from. So I opted for the ($10 mystery box with $20 worth of items). My mystery box came quickly and was packaged nicely. I received two pencils and a handsewn notepad wrapped in green ribbon. Since the package came in a big box I was expecting more and remembered that Belle & Union is on the pricier side. All in all, I can't wait to use the notepad and the pencils. read more

Let me preface this by saying I wanted to buy everything in the store. This place is adorable and has a great variety of kitchenware including tea towels, recipe cards, ceramics, etc. The card wall is filled with dreamy letterpress cards for all occasions and even great cards for those just because snail mail letters. There's a cute mix of other items you didn't think you needed until you set your eyes on them including great planners, cute pouches, jewelry and quirky antique items. Belle & Union even hosts a variety of workshops with local artists and are very fun (here's looking at you Elise and your magical pumpkins!) and I look forward to taking more in the future. From getting to see the printing presses that they actually use to create their card stock, to the cutest little camper that kids will delight to get to sit in and read a book while the grown-ups shop, this store has something for everyone. I started purchasing from this company when they were just an on-line company and worked out of a garage, and now they have this store front that will appeal to all your senses. The kid-size camper, which they use as a reading nook for the little ones, is adorable, but it's the unique gift selection that keeps me coming back ... coffee table books to pottery to textiles, and of course the wall of greeting cards, many printed in-house on antique letter presses (which you can see). You can also find vintage pieces for purchase tucked among the displays.
