I love the atmosphere here. Have been here twice now and their burgers are juicy and just so amazing. I love all the old antiques on the walls to see and chat about. I had their cheeseburger this time, he had the chili cheese dog and the crab dog along with their Elvis burger. First time he was there and he was not disappointed. You may wait longer than at a fast food restaurant but that is why I do not go to them, I would rather have the flavor and authentic burger. We will go again. read more

I hadn't been to this little restaurant in Waycross. The food was delicious. The crab salad was excellent & very tender. The chicken salad was crunchy with apples & raisins! The place was very clean & had a cool vibe with lots of collectibles. I will be back when I come through again. read more

This was my first visit. Saw that it was Chicken salad Wednesday and I had been craving chicken salad. So today was one of the few occasions I am able to leave work to grab lunch and decided to try Plant Cafe. Very much enjoyed the decor and bits of Waycross history. Ordered the Smokey Okee on a crossisant. It was delicious!! My coworker had a burger and she said it was great also. Will definitely return when the opportunity arises. In town for just a week. Looking for healthy options. Driving by I spotted the name and assumed the Plant in the name meant green plants not plant like factory! Very funny. But nonetheless I was very happy with my selection. The place itself is kind of eclectic. I learned the names of a lot of famous people from Waycross as the menu items are named after them. The service was awesome. I was given a recommendation - a vegetable sandwich that was not on the menu...The Barbara. It was good. I would definitely return when I come back in town. read more

The atmosphere was really neat. There was memorabilia on the walls and ceiling. The staff was very friendly. You can tell it's a family business. The food was incredible! Just don't be in a hurry when you go. It took a while to get our food. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in Waycross! read more

Unbelievably delicious sandwiches. My husband and I stopped here on our way home to Tampa. The "Burt Reynolds" was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Working in town today and wanted to try something local. Drink order was wrong. Food was prepared w only half of the ingredients listed on the menu. The food, which was a cold prepared dish (a wrap) took 30mins to prep and serve while I watched everyone around me get their food. I opted for the fruit side which was a mistake; hard dry peach slices and strawberries pieces that were warm. When I asked about the missing ingredients they did bring them out in a side dish. Highly disappointed but the staff was nice and they took 10% off of my meal... sigh.... read more

If you haven't been to The Plant Cafe, then you are missing out! Upon entering the cafe, it is covered in a blast from the past. So many things to look at even in the bathroom. The menu is a tribute to people from Waycross and is named after them. Enjoyed dining on The Denton...Roast beef, pimento cheese, pepper kraut relish sandwich with a side of chips. Stopped by Plant Cafe for lunch today 5/17/18. Many salads, sandwiches and burgers plus to choose from. I chose a burger and was very happy with the food. Fun location as there is lots to see inside with walls completely covered. Very friendly atmosphere too. I'll definitely go back again. read more

Great atmosphere and great food! Tried the chicken salad sandwich, the Reuben, and the chicken and sausage gumbo and all were delicious. The sandwiches had large portions of meat and were very satisfying. Our waitress, who I believe was also the owner, was a wealth of knowledge about the town and showed good ole' southern hospitality. A very charming combination restaurant and gift shop with an entire wall devoted to University of Georgia Bulldogs paraphanelia.. Tried the chicken panini and a new england clam chowder.. the chicken panini had a generous portion of chicken but definitely could have used more marinara sauce and I think the chicken could have used some exposure to herbs and spieces.. the clam chowder was pretty much devoid of seasoning and thus seemed rather bland to me, but I like very spicy food.. panini was served with chips. The restaurant has a pretty big wine list and is quite charming, probably a good date place as it seems to be sorta "romantic" due to the cozy location in a 1921 vintage building.. interacted with both a waitress and the owner, they were both very friendly and willing to chit-chat with me and answer my questions about the area and it's history as a curious tourist passing through.. they refilled my coffee several times as it was late evening and i was planning on driving to savannah that night, even offered to pour me a to-go cup.. In general I would recommend trying this palce because of the charm, the food i tried was decent but nothing too special.. read more

The food is different from most other restaturants in Waycross, that makes it a favorite place. Service is not fast, so plan on that. I love the salads and sandwiches, especially the homemade pimento cheese. Very nice environment. read more

I absolutely love this place. Me and my mother went in there and ordered two sausage dogs with chili on them. It was about $14 but they were HUGE! They were as big as the plates. The service is amazing (theyre not fast, but that is because everything in here is made to order. There are a lot of glass valuables in here, so make sure not to bring kids that might mess something up, or else you have to pay for it. They have amazing salads and sandwich's too (that are for a very reasonable price too) read more
