I even went through the trouble of filing a formal appeal with Aetna, which was denied simply because of timing. This process has been stressful, time-consuming, and felt very misleading from start to finish. Dentist put in temporary glue, but put in so much it overflowed over my gums and tongue. It caused the bridge to not fit right, so he took the drill to reform the bridge. I left and called as soon as I got home, and arranged a return visit asap. Went back and they wanted to charge me $400 to fix what I already paid $200 for. STEER CLEAR! I went…read morein for a cleaning with their $99 new patient special. They took my X-rays and explained that I needed a deep clean instead of a regular cleaning. They then handed me a proposal for $1400 and said they needed atleast half upfront with no payment options and I still had to pay the $99 even though they refused to even do a regular cleaning. They insisted I apply for a credit card right then and there, which thankfully I said no (the amount of pressure to commit and pay right there was the first red flag). As soon as I left, I called around and found another place and had my X-rays sent to them (which weren't even complete X-rays) the second place I called offered the same proposed deep clean for $700 that this place quoted me $1,400 for. Which was the next red flag. Today I had my consult with the new place and was told I don't even need a deep clean. It was all just a way to commit to a long term treatment plan so they can get more out of me than the advertised $100 for a cleaning. Confirmed, this place is a complete scam and just out to take peoples hard earned money. Even worse, they tried to scare me into thinking I had gum disease and severe bone loss to get me to panic and apply for a line of credit right then and there. After calling to complain they refunded me my $100 and insisted they weren't wrong. I hope this helps keep someone from paying and having unnecessary things done. So unethical and wrong.

During that visit, I was aggressively oversold unnecessary procedures and told I needed to replace two crowns. From that moment on, everything turned into a nightmare. The crowns were done incorrectly. During the procedure, my tongue was cut, causing unnecessary pain and discomfort. After leaving, the pain became unbearable and I was forced to return. At that point, your staff realized they had forgotten something inside my tooth. They removed it and placed something else in an attempt to stop the pain. Now, as a result of your mistakes, I am being told I need a root canal. This is completely unacceptable. You walk into this office and everyone is overly friendly, but it is very clear they have no idea what they are doing. If I wanted students practicing on my mouth, I would go to a university dental clinic. At least there, a professor supervises and patients are not oversold unnecessary treatments or physically harmed. The level of incompetence I experienced is alarming. What makes this even worse is that the doctor is fully aware of how badly this was handled and now avoids any direct communication. She does not even show her face. I strongly advise anyone reading this to stay away from this place. Your health is not something to gamble with. I expect a formal response and accountability for the damage caused.

But this had to be the best experience I've ever had with a dentist/ endodontist! My regular dentist referred me to Dr. Weiner for a potential root canal. I had this procedure done by him 7 years ago at his office near the Hollywood area. He has since moved to the Plantation area which is very close to where I live = convenient. My tooth pain began while I was traveling in Seattle and I was worried that the pain wouldn't allow me to get back to do it here, but I'm so glad I was able to. I called the office as soon as my dentist diagnosed it as a root canal. Cathy, the office manager, was very kind even though it was close to 5 p.m. - closing time, to contact my insurance company to see if I would be covered, which luckily I was. And she was able to get me in the following morning. These days you rarely get customer service like this! She was really awesome! Entering the office you get a warm comfortable feeling with the decor, ambiance and friendliness of the staff. There's even candles in the waiting room and the bathroom to give you that calming feeling. The exam room is almost like first class on an airplane! There's a TV, they provide a headset in case you don't have one to connect your phone to listen to music or what have you. There's even a blanket if you're too cold with the air conditioning. A fluffy pillow to put under your neck which most dentist chairs don't have. And because I have a back issue, Melissa the assistant, even gave me a small pillow for support and ice packs. I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep! Dr. Weiner was excellent in discussing the procedure, asking questions and is very detail oriented which I totally appreciate! I really didn't experience much pain which is unusual for a root canal! The procedure was pretty quick and afterwards I even got a care package with a bottle of water, instructions from the doctor and an ice pack. The overall experience was wonderful and it was great to see Dr Weiner again after 7 years - which he called it... The Seven Year Itch!
