Months later, I received an unexpected bill claiming insurance didn't cover as much as the office expected. Despite doing my due diligence, paying what was required, I was repeatedly threatened with collections. I even went through the trouble of filing a formal appeal with Aetna, which was denied simply because of timing. This process has been stressful, time-consuming, and felt very misleading from start to finish. I've since resolved the balance just to avoid collections, but I will never return to this office and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants honest billing practices or respect as a patient.

Dentist put in temporary glue, but put in so much it overflowed over my gums and tongue. It caused the bridge to not fit right, so he took the drill to reform the bridge. I left and called as soon as I got home, and arranged a return visit asap. Went back and they wanted to charge me $400 to fix what I already paid $200 for. Go here if you want to overpay for disappointing procedures.

By 3rd occurance, spouse got fed up and left. I decided to stay. Now they're owned by a private equity firm. After I was diagnosed with a serious medical issue, my specialist told me to check with dentist's office, as some dental products include ingredients that may risk my health. I called to ask about 2 weeks before my upcoming cleaning appt. Front desk staffer was very nice... said hygienist and docs didn't know. She said she had to call "corporate" and would call back later that day. I didn't hear back that day or the next day, I followed up a few times. "Corporate is in a meeting". "We haven't heard back from corporate yet." "We're stlll waiting on an answer from Corporate". I emphasized that "corporate" needs to realize that this is an important medical issue. "Corporate" never bothered to respond. That's when I knew it was time to fire this practice. I no longer felt safe. My new practice immediately respected the importance of what I was asking, looked into it and had an answer for me. It's sad how little loyalty is valued at Usmile. I was an ideal patient: pleasant, low key, never grumpy, never late, never missed an appt, a prompt payer, never demanding. Diligent on home care. Treated everyone there with respect and appreciation. Unfortunately, once private equity runs the show, things often go downhill fast.

She performed two painless root canals, placed two caps and two veneers on my front teeth. Unfortunately, I moved far away so could no longer see her. Today, I went to a new dentist who is an instructor at a large well renowned dental school, she said that the work that Dr. Middelhof performed was absolutely beautiful and extremely well executed.
