I came the following day or two after with an appointment and was turned away because of their scheduling mistake and needing the same dentist to be the one to check out the retainer. (The fault of whoever scheduled me) Next, I had a bonding done on a tooth and it chipped a week later, I come in the same day it chipped and once again turned away after waiting ONE hour in the waiting room, why? Once again, scheduling error and coincidently the doctor had no time to see me after once again I drove to Davie with a jagged tooth from the broken bonding job they did. This office has a terrible track record of a husking mistakes and playing with my time as well as not properly doing services the right way.

My decades of having chompers have been fraught with stress and drama. I'm unfortunate to have inherited my mother's dental problems, and along with it multiple cavities, root canals, and other forms of medieval torture. This had led to an all too common dread whenever dental visits came due, even for routine care. This has now changed thanks to Dr. Perez and his wonderful team. My dental hygienist Gloria has the hands of an angel and the most delicate touch ever. My anxiety the first visit could be felt a mile away. I dare say I felt almost relaxed my most recent visit. I had a crown done with my last dentist (and a root canal with her referred endodontist). This led to months upon months of pain far worse than the pain I had before the root canal. I had to go to a different local dentist to fix the problem, but it took months to get an appointment. Expectedly last month I had dread when I was told I needed another crown. I wasn't in pain, but my previous dentist had done such a deep filling that I knew the tooth wasn't going to last forever. They advised a crown before the tooth cracks unexpectedly. I just had it finished yesterday and my mouth feels 100% normal. Dr. Perez was extraordinarily patient making sure to get the fit and bite just right. I highly recommend him and his staff for your dentistry needs.

They changed owners…read more It used to be simple. $50 for a cleaning. Now they "diagnose" you and say that they will only perform a deep cleaning. Without insurance it was coming out to $1000. I've sent so many people to city dental. Everyone always thanked me for a referral. The reason why we were so loyal was because the owner was reasonable. Now it just feels like a shiesty operation. Good luck to the new owners. Update: i got my deep cleaning done for $185 at another practice. Saved $800 by going to a reputable dentist that has been practicing for 30 years.

Dr. Barry Bluth was the gentle giant that I remembered, and veteran Kelly was thorough and so helpful at checkout. I can't even begin to tell you what a difference this team of highly skilled and kind professionals make for me and to their longtime patients. Dental care is complex! Months later, I received an unexpected bill claiming insurance didn't cover as much as the office expected. Despite doing my due diligence, paying what was required, I was repeatedly threatened with collections. I even went through the trouble of filing a formal appeal with Aetna, which was denied simply because of timing. This process has been stressful, time-consuming, and felt very misleading from start to finish. I've since resolved the balance just to avoid collections, but I will never return to this office and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants honest billing practices or respect as a patient.

There seemed to be a constant turnover of dentists, which made it difficult to receive consistent care. My biggest concern came after one of the newer dentists worked on my front tooth. I had three fillings come out within approximately two weeks. After returning and still not having the issue successfully resolved, I requested a refund. My request was refused. I also specifically asked for the owner, Dr. John, to contact me so I could discuss what happened and hopefully resolve the situation directly. I never received a call back. After being a longtime patient, I found this extremely disappointing. In my experience, the practice now seems much more focused on promoting veneers, cosmetic procedures, and additional services than on the jbasic restorative dental care that originally kept me coming back. I would strongly encourage potential patients--especially anyone needing fillings or restorative dental work--to ask questions about who will actually be performing the treatment, their experience, and what the practice will do if the dental work fails shortly afterward. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after losing three fillings in such a short period of time, being denied a refund, and receiving no response from the owner, I felt other patients should be aware of my experience before choosing this practice
