As pointed out by previous reviews, it's not immediately obvious that the café is there, because it is located in an office/community building, where locals rent offices for their business But the search is worth it! The café is adorable, nice and clean. The service was great and our waitress was excellent. She was quick and super friendly, and she gaves us tips on which dishes were best. The food is healthy, local and delicious. I had the haloumi salad with bulgur, and the latte I ordered was delicious too. The cakes looked amazing, but I was too full to try them. The atmosphere was great, with locals doing some arts projects in the corner and beautiful photos of climbs on the wall. The view is also very nice and if you bring your kids, they provide colouring books and babiccinos. Wifi included! Highly recommended!
The food was terrible, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable and disorganised. But what really…read moreshocked me was the way the owner behaves online. On TripAdvisor, they regularly insult and mock customers who leave honest feedback -- some of the replies come across as bullying. Their Instagram is just as unprofessional, filled with childish stories, digs at other local coffee shops, and even personal posts that have no place on a business account. One recent story mocked a teenager who works at McDonald's, which I found really alarming. A café should be about good food, a welcoming space, and basic respect -- none of which were present here. I won't be back.

I was introduced to Black Pudding, an acquired taste for even the English- pigs blood and intestines mashed into a hockey puck. I have nothing to compare it to but a taste of it was good for me. It was crispy, soft like pudding and a bit sweet. I opted for the tuna panini which was terrific. I read it came with chips which I figured were fries but got actual potato chips which was fine I guess. Michael said his All Day Breakfast was spot on except for the sausage which he described as cheap or watery. The other lads said there's were fine and devoured it spite being hung over. Before breakfast I asked to walk past the gates to witness the sprawling fields. I was welcomed with a bit of apprehension and took a few photos as you may see. Apparently no one asks to go back into the farm. I breathed in the cool air and appreciated the beauty of the English horizon. I was met by the owner, Bill Williams, in a tractor who stopped me to have a bit of a chat. He is a funny man when he said the view was "alright" and there wasn't much to see. I learned the farm was 400 acres and how he had a kick travelling the California coast line several years ago. When I return to Chester I will be sure to come back and eat here and say hello.

If lunch is what you're after though, I wouldn't bother. When I went there was a choice of five dishes. Two different types of soup and three kinds of savoury tart. All costing £6.95. Since we ended up going elsewhere for more choice I don't know how good the soups or tarts were but for nearly £7, I hope they're amazing!! I'm a vegetarian and took my meat loving boyfriend in the hope to inspire him with some veggie delights but to be honest even I was uninspired. Disappointing.

We stopped here as this is the town where Sue's mom was born. After wandering around on a Saturday morning we sought out a place that we might find a proper Welsh breakfast. We came upon the store part on the bottom floor and while inside I noticed a sign for a cafe just up the stairs. Mentioned it to Sue and we took a look. Cute little place. Busy on an overcast Saturday morning. We saw that they offered a Welsh breakfast and we were sold. The breakfast consisted of good toast and Welsh butter, sausage and bacon (you read that correctly), mushrooms, tomatoes and sunny side up eggs. It hit the spot after a long flight from the states. A good way to start a trip.
