I had a great experience with Platinum Appliance Service today. I manage my 91 year old mother-in-law's rental villa in Shipyard Plantation on Hilton Head Island from 2 1/2 hours away. The family who is renting there currently let me know the icemaker in the Whirlpool refrigerator was not working. I called Whirlpool for assistance and they gave me two contractors who were Whirlpool certified. One company did not answer their phone and referred people to their website. The young lady who answered the phone yesterday at Platinum was very friendly and professional. Much to my surprise she was able to schedule someone for today. He found that the icemaker drive motor had failed and needed to be replaced. Even though he had to drive to Savannah for the part she told me if I approved the quote he was willing to do that and return this afternoon to replace it. While he was there replacing it he cleaned the condenser and made sure everything was in good condition. When he was finished I was notified and e-mailed the invoice with details of the charges and able to pay online with a credit card. I could not be happier with the prompt and courteous service. My renter also appreciated the speedy response. There is a 90 day warranty on parts and labor. I am so happy to have found a reliable appliance repair company and will definitely call them on any appliance repairs needed in the future. read more

My tenant called to let me know my washing machine was making a thuddiing sound and walking across the floor when spinning. I knew right away it was the suspension rods. Called a few repair places and Platinum was the only one to call me back. Set up an appointment to verify the issue a couple of days later, they order the rods and were back as soon as they came in to fix it. Rebecca is pleasant to talk to when scheduling the appointments and Bill was pretty much on schedule for both appointments letting me know when he was en route so I could keep my tenant informed and did an excellent job. I am so happy with the Platinum Appliance Service. After searching for someone to work on our refrigerator they were the answer. They came right away and got it working and order the bad part. Returned with the new part and completed the service. The price was very reasonable and most of it was covered under Whirlpool warranty.
