Located in a strip mall area. Three adults walked through a few minutes before 3 on a Saturday. It was pandemonium! Overwhelming actually. When we first entered there are about 4 computers at the door people can use and some guy looked way to be happy sitting there. Looked like he was shopping online for a wife. We had to go left to make it through and there was a small bouncy house. I couldn't get a good look as I was navigating making it through shoes on the ground. We are then left to just figure things out. We found the smash room but no attendant. Trying to get back to the front we had to shuffle by a birthday party (so odd that someone had floral centerpieces not only for a kids bday party but at this establishment!) It was loud. People everywhere. We found someone who spent a few minutes behind the counter and I had to follow him to get his attention. He easily accepted that we had a reservation. He walked us to the smash room spending 2 minutes explaining to us. No waivers. That was it! We had a Groupon for 2 people and a TV smash. The people before us left 1/3 of their smashables so they became ours! And they ket my husband jumo into the room as well, nonextra charge. Overall we got to do what we went for- smashing stuff! We spent about a half hour going to town, smashing and making a mess. We then just walked out, glancing one last time at the guy at the door, who may have found his wife, like it never happened. Just recently had a Childs birthday party here even after reading reviews wanted to give a local establishment a chance rather than going somewhere else. "what a big mistake that was " first off the only reason we booked the place was because they have a game room with multiple systems for the kids to play which no one setup and didn't know how to at all. Every time we asked about it the kid at the desk knew nothing and the manager was trying his best not his fault at all. However they should have had someone to accommodate the party there was no one to help setup. This was a child's birthday party and we were supposed to have the place to ourselves however people just walked in sat down at the bar started playing pool and just basically did whatever they wanted. I myself had to kick people out and lock the doors who knows what kind of people they are and I'm not taking a chance letting people not part of the party in to walk off with a kid under our supervision. Then when my wife spoke with the owner he said best i can do is take 50 bucks off for the inconvenience this was the worst experience we have ever had would not recommend anyone booking a party. We booked a smash room and called a few hours before our original appointment to reschedule for the next day. The employee confirmed over the phone that the change was all set. After driving an hour to get there, we were told there was no 7:00 PM appointment under our name. We explained that we had called the day before and were assured the reschedule was confirmed. The employee then said we would have to pay a rescheduling fee -- which made no sense, since we would have simply kept our original booking had we been told there was an issue. What was most frustrating was that he seemed to know we had purchased through Groupon without even checking his system. He was also the same person we spoke to on the phone. "Misleading 'Stay As Long As You Want' - 12 Bottles & Done, Unsanitary Equipment" "I purchased the 'Stressed Out for Two' Groupon deal at Platinum City Gaming in Taunton, MA, which advertised that we could 'stay as long as we want' while smashing different items. What actually happened: When we arrived, we were given only 12 small beer bottles to smash. That was it - once those were done, we were done. The 'stay as long as you want' claim is completely false advertising when you're only given 12 bottles total. Unsanitary conditions: The safety equipment provided was disgusting: Dirty, smelly headmask/helmet Filthy jacket Disgusting gloves that clearly hadn't been cleaned This is not only disappointing but a health concern. Safety equipment that goes on your face and hands should be clean. Bottom line: (way overpriced for the dirty and misleading advertising) For the price paid, this was extremely disappointing. 12 beer bottles take maybe 5-10 minutes to smash, not the extended stress-relief session advertised. Came for an "event" so the bartender called it when we asked why the prices were different for our drinks. Bartenders were not consistent and charge &15 for a water and a ginger ale and cran , $34 for 2 Guinness and a Sam's . Wtf!!! Ok fine you want to up charge for an event, but you better use that $$$ to pay for an additional fire EXIT sign at the back door!!!!! The person working was very kind. We did a smash room, there weren't very many things to smash but it was still cool. I played a few arcade games, I feel like it took more credits for the amount of money than other arcades. Both activities were short, you ran out of things to smash and credits. My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday and we had a great time!! We each bought the $25 1 hour unlimited credit arcade cards and went around trying every game. Was super fun especially the VR games! After that we did the smash room and did the package with the tv and you can see how it ended up looking in the pics. Environment was super chill, we weren't rushed whatsoever in the smash room. And if it wasn't for dinner plans we would've stayed for drinks and food! Extra bonus there was a crazy dj van outside that definetly added to the experience. 100% would recommend!!!! read more

Our son had SO MUCH FUN for his 9th birthday party at Platinum City Gaming in Taunton, MA. Over 20 of his friends and classmates attended and had a blast. They played video games, jumped, won prizes, earned rewards, and wanted to stay as long as possible. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were warmly welcomed by Nonny upon arrival. Nonny and her team were available throughout the entire event. When we asked for more pizza, it was brought out quickly. When we asked for more drinks, within a matter of minutes our party had more drinks. When we needed more game cards, they had them for us right away. The haunted house was a nice surprise and the kids absolutely loved it. We even took a group photo in front of the entrance to it and it came out great! Our son received a special birthday gift at the end of the party which really meant a lot to him and us. I saw an add online for Egg hunt . I arrived around 130pm. I was so disappointed of how it took them till 4pm to start on time with parents waiting patiently with their children specially when you have children with disability. I ask how long of a wait and I was told several time soon. Honestly this is really unfair when you pay and nothing was started on time. As a parent to sit and wait so long with special need child is so unfair, at a point had to leave with a crying child because your business was not on time. I didn't even bother asking for my money back but it's okay I guess. Just had to state the experience that my children, friend child had to endure. I took my son to Platinum City Gaming during the winter break, they had it all. From old school Nintendo to new virtual reality games. They have a full bar for adults and a play area for younger children that include a bounce house, jumbo size Jenga and Connect Four. My son loved it. Words cannot express how satisfying and sanitary our experience was with Platinum City Gaming during these pandemic days. We were unsure what to do for our 18 year old son's birthday and discovered this gaming facility. It is a true hidden gem with something for everyone of all ages. We enjoyed bumper cars, VR games, pool, air hockey, arcade games, basketball, and online gaming just to name a few activities. I used them for Dj and linen. The Dj never answered his phone to find out what songs I needed. He just agreed with Rashad and said he had all the music.. He showed up late. He didn't have any music downloaded. He played wedding music for teens. He used YouTube. Never engaged with the children. My daughter requested songs for her sweet16 grand entrance and wasn't provided any. Rashad ordered the wrong size linen and refuse to change it for the correct size. You have to give people what they pay for. I would never refer anyone. read more

Extra $5 for a pitcher of tap water when they advertise 2 pitchers per party. No game tournament which was the main reason my son wanted the party there. I was dissuaded from playing myself even though they advertise parents can me play free as apart of party package. Party for 12 people but only six seats. They sang happy birthday to another child during my son's party but not for him. Owner takes no responsibility for any of this. All his responses are just excuses. WE DID NOT RECEIVE 2 PITCHERS even though you keep saying we did. Why charge $5 for a pitcher of water anyway????? That's obviously why I wasn't allowed. This was the most unpleasant experience I've ever had at a place. I brought some Of the youth I work with and was treated poorly and got cussed out by one of the staff that works there. I was not helped and no one knew how to set up the PC/consoles. No professionalism and no respect for their costumers. Do not recommend this place. read more

I am appalled to have witnessed the staff speaking to party children the way they did. During the entire duration of bumper cars the worker demonstrated unprofessional behavior. No patience, and absolutely no understanding that the age group she was working with was 4-6 years of age. She never physically got up to check and make sure seat belts were secure. Every time a group of children from the party I was with got in, I went into the floor with my 9mo old strapped to me to make sure and say. Never once did she give instructions on how to operate the vehicle children were doing wrong instead of redirecting them she was threatening to stop the turn. Again, we're talking to 4-6 year olds. But what really got me was her megaphone and the excessive use she had for it. She rudely shouted in my 9mo olds ear with it and when it was brought to her attention she proceeded from inches away from me speak to me with the mega phone. When a parent addressed her and how she was speaking to the children her response was "oh sorry, I don't have kids". Also, I have no issue with children at all. But there was a little boy who appeared to be the child of someone working. Which is okay!! I know kids love having other kids to play with and they don't care who they belong to. But I witnessed this child be mean to the children who attended the birthday. I saw the child boss and demand the kids around. I saw him snatch basketballs from younger kids to give to the older kids. I personally don't think a child of a worker should have the free range to join in on another child's party without asking the participants if that is ok. I'm sure this post sounds like I am knit picking but wrong is wrong and there was so much of that at this party due to business. And I will always advocate for my children and the ones around me. I do not understand the comfortability people gain when speaking to other peoples children however they want. 10/10 would not recommend. I've been coming here since the place opened up a year or two ago and that place has been booming for customers, especially on the weekends. Jonathan was extremely friendly and polite, and walked us through how to get started at the arcade. He was super attentive and had awesome energy. My friends and I had a blast (we are in our late 20s). All this place needs is a good bartender, and some simple food like burgers/hot dogs/chicken nuggets. If they had a good advertising team, this place would be packed every Friday night! I went to platinum city gaming to bring my clients to have a good day on their school vacation. First we tried to get some arcade cards... but the machine didn't take discover, Mastercard, or American Express. Even though the machine said it does. So i had to take cash out of the ATM to get a card, but it was fine. Then, I bought two hours of gaming on the pc/consoles for four people... and genuinely sat there for 45 minutes while the worker tried to figure out how to set the gaming things up. He had to ask someone who does not even work there for help. While asking this random person for help, he too was not able to help then the worker began to cuss at this specific person in front of my client. Our program has adolescents who struggle with mental health and this incident at platinum city gaming was definitely not a pleasant one. I asked for a refund because we did not play one single console because they couldn't even figure it out and they said no. They don't offer refunds and they said all sales are final. So you're telling me I paid over $100 for two hours of gaming, didn't touch a game ONCE and don't get anything back. I had 2 of the same incidents prior to this and it would be fair to say THIS PLACE IS A NO GO! Do not go here if your looking to have fun with your children. read more
