My experience with Five Star Limousine Wine Tours was outstanding. Over the weekend of the Wine Road Food & Wine Affair, I worked with Richard (the proprietor and--as it turned out--our driver) to arrange driver service for my family so that the group of 9 of us could all remain together and no one had to stress about driving. We have done Wine Road events many times, and wanted to see places we hadn't been to before. I looked over the list of participating wineries and sent it to him, making sure to mark the wineries we had already been to. He took it from there and did a fantastic job. We saw lesser known places as well as some bigger names, and Richard was extremely courteous, friendly and attentive in considering what kind of wines we liked and what places we seemed to be most excited about. He was prompt to pick us up, the vehicle was lovely and well maintained, he managed to time the whole affair perfectly, and he made a fantastic impression on my family members. Above all else, his prices are reasonable and he really made an effort to plan out a day of wineries that he thought we might enjoy. I work within the wine industry and will have absolutely no hesitation passing along his information to customers of mine who are either from out of town and looking for a tour or who are locals that simply want to be free of driving for a day in wine country.

Turns out they also use independent contractors and the driver was unknown to them. The driver couldn't make the driveway and we had to walk down the hill. This is all normal stuff and I was ready to take it but I found the response from the company to be appalling. They were not interested in working with us on a refund and, at one point, had the audacity to say I didn't look hard enough for the car (which I did - nowhere in site). Anyway, given management disinterest in our satisfaction (having booked them many times before), thinking there is a better customer-focused company out there. If something goes wrong, I always want a highly customer focused partner and these guys weren't it.
