Absolutely the worst experience at Plato's Closet. The staff was incredibly disrespectful, especially the girl with a mustache who needs a serious lesson in customer service. I brought in my Coach bag, which cost me $150, and she had the nerve to tell me it looked like it was only worth $12. Seriously? Stay far away from this place if you want to be treated with any shred of decency. The selection is OK but they told me all of my stuff all my clothes were out of date and a lot of the stuff there was kind of out of date my 13 year-old daughter said that "for "I feel like if you need some clothes that are easy and not expensive the namebrand stuff isn't that expensive but the T-shirts to throw on T-shirts I saw his T-shirt that I've seen at Walmart for five dollars and they were reselling it for 15. The staff I encountered on my visit were very unwelcoming. I took a very large amount of clean, name brand, mostly brand new clothing neatly folded in a large box and a duffel bag to sell. I have an arm injury, so I struggled and was not able to carry in the large box from my car. I had to push it inside and to the counter. From the moment I walked into the store, I was greeted with nothing but judgement and dirty looks. I was paged back to the counter in less than 10 minutes and was told my items were either stained or outdated which is not the case at all. I was sent back with every item thrown back in my bag and box. I had to sit there and re-fix everything before leaving. I am thankful for one of the female customers who was leaving and offered to help me with the door and to my car, as staff just stood there and watched! My overall experience with nothing more than disappointing. The management of this establishment should require their employees to take routine training courses in the fundamentals of customer service and common courtesy. As this was my first visit, I was excited to check everything out and get my daughters some new clothes. This quickly changed, due to how I was treated. I've been into this location multiple times and the staff never fails to meet you with pure disdain for your existence. Wether I've gone in to shop, or sell clothes they act as if I'm an inconvenience to their day. When I went in today I wasn't even welcomed in with a smile or a welcome in just a straight "you can put it on the counter" (I was selling clothes) and I was telling her I had folded and organized everything by gender and item type such as pants, shirts, etc. and she looked at me and dumped it all on the counter in a big pile. I got my text to come back 15 minute later and when I walked up one of the girls started grabbing my bags which she didn't retie so clothes were falling out and proceeded to toss them onto the counter. I picked up my stuff and was retying the bags when the other lady told me to sign on a line but my hands were full so I didn't do it immediately so she raised her voice and kind of rudely snapped on me to sign on the line. Again my hands were still full so I told her to hold on, I signed grabbed the cash said thank you and was turning around to leave when I heard her say "thanks" behind me. Not even a have a great day, or even a full thank you. I have probably been in this store 5-6 times and every single time the girls have been rude. To their hiring team, please start stressing the customer service quality in your hiring process because the way they treat customers is getting out of hand. This place is a JOKE! This was my first time ever entering the store- hoping to resale very nice, clean, in style items. It is Ran by people who have no business working in this type of business. I had such high hopes for resale on items, but they clearly have too much in store to take the time and consideration to look at customers items. It's a shame and needs a complete makeover. i took 2 whole baskets full of mostly brand new some old clothes with shoes and 2 brand new not used purses and they didn't take a single item out of 2 whole baskets of clothes i called and asked why they said bc it's "not in style" i am a 18 year old female who is a size medium in pants and shirts all in style clothes ik for a fact they never looked at a single item i brought in never again will i enter the store or sell a single item to them terrible place to make money and terrible place to let them have my money they have rude staff and never will i be returning read more
