this place is horrible i wanted to sell my clothes and literally half of my clothes were brand new and they didn't want it like,even the clothes that were in the rack were really faded and expensive i literally wasted my time waiting for them to check my clothes and get nothing back they didn't even look through them i had like few brand new shirts. I wouldn't recommend coming here and waste your time they will just peak through your clothes and return it back to you, also the employees just have lack of respect and rude. read more

This Plato's Closet is run poorly compared to others cities. It appears that they might be under new management compared to the past years when I went. Anyways, I went in to sell a few items, but actually ended up finding a pair of shoes I really liked. The store window and all of the racks had been marked with 90% off or 70% off. It's an attention grabber to get you in the store. None of the racks that had the sign hanging were discounted at all. The goal is for you to fall in love with the item, but then you get to the front and the item is not discounted at all. I started in the line and the line was short, but it still took them forever to assist everyone. Some of those in line were talking about how poor their experience was here than in big cities. I finally received help and checked in with my items to sale and went to grab a snack - an employee told me it usually takes them a couple hours to go through the items and make an offer. I returned and at about the past 5 hours mark I asked them about my items and they had not made it to them. They said they might not make it until the very next day. It was hours until the next day before I got an offer. I do not recommend this place at all. The signs are misleading and with the amount of people they have working the floor, they should be far more efficient than they are. read more

Every time I've tried to sell clothes here they rarely want to buy any thing of mine, and the offers are insulting only for them to be resold for triple the profit, minimum. I'm talking an entire plastic tote was worth $7 to them. When attempting to shop here the store is constantly a chaotic mess and nothing is where it should be size wise. The associates have bitter attitudes and are less than helpful. Save yourself the headache and donate your clothes to H&M for a discount or better yet to a homeless shelter. read more

-1 stars. This place is absolute trash. The store is huge and yet the clothes they have in there are ratty and outdated, unlike any other plato's closet i've ever been to. There was only one person there also selling items and it took over an hour for them to give me an offer. I brought in several pairs of denim from pacsun, each costed about $50-70. The jeans were in good condition and some I have only worn a couple times. I was told there were stains on them, which their weren't and 80% of the clothes in the store had stains anyways. They offered me $20 when I brought in probably $200-300 worth of clothes. I will never return to this location. I will instead sell on depop and actually make some money off of the clothes. read more

If I could give a lower star I would. Waited in line for over an hour with only 3 people in front of me. Every other Plato's closet I've been to (even if there is a line) I have been in and out within 10 minutes. The system they have in place here does not work. I left after an hour and 20 minutes passed because I have better things to do. If you plan on selling clothes here, bring a chair and a snack because you're going to need it. read more

There are three people up front with one just standing there looking lost. I waited over an hour to sell while they continued to check out people who were buying. They need to do a better job of managing both selling and purchasing or having dedicated hours to handle buyers. Then, after checking in, I was told I had to wait for the buyer, I couldn't leave and come back. Over another hour waiting on the buyer, I had to wait in the cashier line to get my money. If your business model is based on purchasing clothes, you need to make it more convenient to do so. I was more than happy to drop off and come back thus saving the two hours I waited. read more

VERY RUDE TO CUSTOMERS!! WORKERS with the WORST ATTITUDES!! I came in to sell some of my clothes and was browsing the store as I looked around. I simply stood in front of the register for literally 30 seconds before one of the workers looked at me and said "are you standing in line or.??" I replied "no I'm just standing here". A few more seconds went by and I guess the worker didn't like me watching her fold my clothes they were buying, so she said "you can go sit over there where we have chairs so you aren't just staring at us" with a pissed off and annoyed face. First off, why be so rude? I had been waiting over 2 hours for them to finish my buy and was walking over to see their progress. I understand that sorting through clothes takes awhile but what happened to being nice to the customer?! This place really needs to work on its customer service. Very disappointed. Trash employees. Always extremely rude when I come here... especially the ones working the fitting room area. Today was especially frustrating because I had purchased 2 scarves for a work party not knowing which one would go better with the dress I had. I specifically asked if I would be able to return one of the scarves. The cashier explained yes and that I have 7 days. I came back an hour later with my receipt in hand to return the other scarf and the employees lost their minds. They were so overwhelmed by the request of my $4.50 back staring they don't return scarves. I explained what the cashier had told me I could and then showed them I was only there an hour ago by the time stamp on my receipt. Imani (spelling?) stated she will call her manager and ask but it's probably a no. (Wow!) also, why she would call a manager over such a simple thing is beyond me. Thinking she really needs some retraining especially in her customer service. How are you about to leave these girls in charge of the store when they can't even handle a simple task? She comes back and says she called her manager and her manager said no. I asked which manager she spoke with and she said "uhh well Umm...who did I talk to (saying to herself) heather it was the manager heather"... I am so confused. No use getting in a tizzy about $4 so I didn't even argue I just took the scarf and left. Ridiculous though. Really... retail cannot be this difficult. Business must be really bad for them if they can't even take back a $4 scarf. read more

I've read many reviews on this specific store and most of them are not good. I will be honest, the wait in line is ridiculously long and inefficient. At other stores, you can walk in, sign in and drop off your things and come back when they're done sorting through your stuff. At this specific location you will have to wait about an hour in line BEFORE you can even check in your things. Then it is another 30-45 minutes before they're done sorting through your stuff. I had all that time to look through the racks and noticed most of the stuff is super worn and not worth buying. I brought in about 35 items all almost new and most with tags. My stuff I was selling was literally new stuff from this year and clearly they were desperate for clothing that actually wasn't falling apart because they bought every single item I brought in. I walked out with $77 and an empty clothes basket. All in all, aside from the long wait in line, the girls at the front were nice and I got a decent amount of money for clothes that were taking up closet space. Don't complain and leave bad reviews just because you brought in junk and they wouldn't buy your stuff. As I said earlier, I brought in GENTLY used items and they bought every single thing. To sum everything up: Cons: -Wait line is SUPER long -Clothes there are seriously worn, especially the shoes selection -Staff is seriously slow at sorting -Expect to spend about 2-3 hours there -Pretty sure they don't have a bathroom Pros: -If you bring in good items, they'll buy -They'll give you a decent amount of money for the items you bring in -There's a huge selection in all sizes and colors read more

Absolute WORST experience EVER. Came here to drop off clothing, waited in line for over an hour, then have waited in the store for 2 hours (and counting) for them to sort through my clothes. Noticed a couple girls who came in after me with several boxes of clothes whose items were already sorted through before mine. After receiving most of my clothing back (name brand clothing mind you including lululemon, Addidas, Nike, American Eagle, BCBG, Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, etc..) they still haven't finished with what they are going to keep and I have now been here a total of 3 hours. This is the worst experience and I would NOT recommend bringing your clothes here. You will have much better luck selling everything online. read more

Went there with the intent to donate my clothes, and had an emergency where I had to use the restroom. I'm 7 months pregnant and begged the front desk to let me use the restroom that they told me was not for customers. We left to drive across the street to the Taco Bell so I could use the restroom. Not sure what kind of business doesn't let a person with an emergency use their restroom, especially one who is pregnant. It was the first time I have ever gone to a Plato's closet and you can be certain we will never go back. Terrible customer service. read more

The customer service here is absolutely terrible. I went in to sell some clothes and waited in line for 30 minutes before I was actually able to go up to the desk. When I did, they made me wait even longer because a lady that sold clothes before me had to go out to her car to get another bag. Whoever runs this store is fairly incompetent when it comes to hiring and training employees to work in the retail business. Honestly, don't even bring your clothes in. I brought in two trash bags full of high end clothes with some that even had the tags on still. They only gave me $70 when the clothes I brought in had to be worth at least $500 altogether. Really awful costumer service. I went to return a pair of shoes and they said I could not return them, which is slightly unfair since I was not told that before the purchase but that in itself wasn't a huge deal. After they denied my return the employee began to lecture me about how I had taken the price sticker off of the shoe and how that would've been unacceptable and how I should "really learn to try on stuff in the store better." Very rude and unnecessary comments from the employee. I will not be returning. read more

If I could rate this experience negative 10 stars I would. The employees are rude and illiterate. We arrived at the store at 12:26. Waited in "line" to get to the front at 1:53, only to be told that the girl had to go to break in 7 minutes. We explained that we had already been here an hour and a half and asked if there was any way it could get done before she left for an additional 30 minutes. She said she would try to hurry and finish and as soon as we walked away she proceeded to walk out of the door. We walked up to the counter a second time to check on where they were in the process to find that the ladies behind us had gotten their things and were already on the way. At this point it was 2:47 pm. I at this point got angry. The "manager" behind the counter responded with, "look it'll take another 15 minutes or I can just give you your clothes back right now and you can come another day." I told her that I would not be returning and that 15 more minutes would work. She then rolled her eyes and started going through the clothes. The guy in front of us brought in TWO pairs of shoes and is still waiting. All around terrible experience. This is not worth it in any way, shape, or form. Will NEVER return. Plato's, it would be in your best interest to hire people who are attentive, and a manager who actually gives two shits. read more
