The company advertises "professional, reliable, trained experts," but the service has been anything but that from day one. From the very first visit, the quality of work was disappointing. The man who arrived performed work that honestly could have been done by a teenager for a fraction of the cost, yet we were charged nearly $300. When I asked basic lawn care questions, his trained expert opinion was he wasn't sure. Completely unsure and unable to provide answers! They also promise advance notice before arriving, but they have failed to do so repeatedly. Crews have shown up as late as 8PM on a Saturday without any communication. Most concerning, while we were out of town, they SOMEHOW entered our LOCKED backyard without permission. We never authorized access, and entering a locked yard without consent is completely unacceptable and felt like a violation of our privacy. On top of that, the work itself is careless. Weeds along the sides are ignored, grass clippings are left piled around the house. For the amount they charge, the service is nowhere near worth it. This company requires full payment for the entire season upfront, but when we tried to cancel due to poor service and requested a refund since they would not be completing a full season worth of services, we were told "sorry wish we could help you, but the money has already gone to operations". Despite multiple requests, I have yet to receive documentation supporting the alleged "verbal no refund would be issued agreement". To make matters worse, during one of my calls, I overheard another customer expressing similar frustrations with the company's service!! Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere. I Wanted old caulk removed from expansion joints and refilled with expandable caulking (preferably self leveling). What they put in was mortar. Consequently, it cracked within 4 days. They came back out to fill cracks and "corrected" by smeared some caulking along the cracks. The end result is a very unprofessional and unsightly. Hardly a $500 job. Almost two years later and I decided to trade the vehicle he sold me for a different one. Very quick and easy trade in I was super happy again. Unfortunately, the happiness didn't last long because almost three weeks later, he calls to say he needs to find a different bank. He messed up the loan application and the loan was rejected. He did find another bank. The interest rate was a little higher. He couldn't even get me the exact same terms as the other loan. Which isn't terrible, but its still upsetting to know if he had not messed up it would have been better. My credit was pulled again! So there's an unnecessary inquiry on my credit because of his mistake. The worst part, my old vehicle was sold but it was not paid off yet. When I asked about the payoff, since it will be another thirty days on top of the almost three weeks that already passed, he said "We will pay what we agreed on at trade in. Other dealerships have lost my business due to selling me bad vehicles but made it right and refunded my money. However, Sterling Auto Sales has not only lost any future business but my respect. My husband, Jose has purchased over six vehicles from them and will never go back either. Our teenagers will be ready to purchase their first car in a few years. Sterling Auto Sales will not get their business either! We will go somewhere where they will process the application correctly the FIRST time so we don't end up paying any extra out of pocket for their lack of effort in fixing their own mistakes. I guess making a profit and hitting those sales goals was more important than customer service and future business security.
