Every single time there is a different pastry to try (or so it seems), along with cakes, sausage rolls (normal or spicy), chocolate, macrons (so many varieties - my favourite being salted caramel) and the most amazing different kinds of bread. And sugarcoated fate had my back! I attended the Yelp event at 93 Feet East that evening and met Danielle of Eat 'n Mess Cakes, and one taste of her s'mores cake and I was sold. I emailed her the next day to give some vague instructions on a birthday cake and arranged to pick it up from her Broadway Market stall on the following Saturday. For £25 I got the most delicious, multi-tiered, moist carrot cake with buttercream white frosting. It was sinful. Everyone that tasted it was ooooohing and ahhhhhhhing about how great the cake was. Of course the 1 year old loved it, though he's not a harsh judge. My husband ate it about 3 meals per day until it ran out (I hid some in the freezer as Danielle told me it would freeze very well). We'll crack into that some night I'm sure. It's very tough to resist. Danielle is very nice and professional...and obviously quite talented with the baking! And they taste every bit as good as they look - maybe more. We got three jam donuts, two jam pies (the lemon was best) and a few other items for under 5 pounds. Without a doubt the best pastries I've eaten in my life, and I've made it a point to eat quite a few. Eating jelly donuts at the top of Rochester Castle will always be one of my favorite memories.

We were served by a very helpful lady that spent time explaining what the different choices of Eastern European biscuits and cakes where, before loading us up with 6 cookies and 2 slices of homemade baklava, all for only £1.80!!! And on the way out, she offered us free sandwiches! So we walked away very happy indeed with a feast for two. The food itself was tasty, especially the coconut cookie and pistachio baklava.
