Stopped in today while visiting from out of town and made some really helpful purchases for the start of MS and HS baseball season in Florida. We walked in and found the baseball section that is located in the back left corner of the store. They had a large selection of used and new bats (last year models). We found a Demarini Voodoo drop 3 baseball bat for half price. We also got some batting gloves for half price. Staff was helpful both in person and on the phone when we called prior to going. There is not a lot of interaction with the staff unless you are buying stuff. Worth the trip for various items. read more

Been in there a few times looking for workout stuff for our home. Dumbbells kettle bells stuff like that. But found what I needed at Walmart for half the price. Idk why I thought at "play it again" type store brand new items at a different store would be cheaper. The staff also seemed to acknowledge everyone but me when walking in. Interesting. Don't waste your time when you can find some things way cheaper elsewhere. read more

The staff wasn't wearing masks. I understand if you're not at work not wearing one, though selfish as well, but I think every employee should be wearing a mask and it really shows where this store's priorities are and it's not the safety of its customers. read more

If you are looking for a business with good customer service, where they service what they sell ,where they return your phone call in a timely manner.not a week or two later sometimes not at all then play it again sports IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU do yourself a favor go elsewhere save yourself the headache after they get your dollar they could care less sad but TRUE I picked one star because theres nothing lower. read more

I go in there Wednesday with two tennis rackets to be strong I asked the guy can these two tennis rackets be strong by Friday afternoon because I had a league tennis match Saturday and Sunday. He opened up a book and said yes it looks like our stringer will be in so we should be able to have these done by Friday. So I called Friday and they said that the tennis rackets were not strong and they haven't seen their stringer for a couple days. So I go in there I pick up my two tennis rackets and my strings and they did give me a credit for one of the tennis rackets which is an over priced $25. I told him I would be back probably within a couple days to get both I'm strung, however I have a tennis match at Crosswhite and the string rackets for $20 each if you provide your own tennis strings I will be going back to play it again sports to get a full refund and I will not be going there again. The first excuse was that the stringer had not come in for a couple days the second excuse I got was that he came in but he didn't see the tennis rackets to be strong and the third excuse was it someone in his family had died. It's sad honestly, I went in asking about golf gear and the young man working seemed like he didn't want to be at work. I understand we all have bad days so I let it go. The only issue that really hurt my feelings is that I went in with my handicap son. *he is in a wheelchair* one manager "if you want the call him that" walk by laughing at my son as he looked at the golf gear....my son loves to watch golf and go to events. His dream is to eventually play one day when his legs are healed. *he doesn't no but it will never happen....but we have hope* SO after that I tried to check out after finding a few clubs... three young men working stood around and talked about last nights foot ball game and didn't even acknowledge me or my son. After 20 mins we finally get there attention and the manager says "oh hey gentleman so which one is the golf pro" they all laughed and me and my son left. I'd rather go to Walmart....at least they actually some what care about the customers. All in all....SAD is what this place is. read more

I went here for golf stuff at the wrong season, but they had a fairly good amount of stuff. Store was quite large surprisingly. The customer service there was really friendly and I appreciate the guy who helped evaluate my trade in stuff... He even walked out to my car to look at the stuff I had that I didn't want to haul all the way inside just to be shut down. However he only took 2 bats, and told me my golf clubs were no good. This is one of the play it again sports that carries only top notch stuff used and new, so if you are missing a club or two and are looking for one that are under 5 dollars you would have to travel to the play it again sports in Richmond... Aside from the fact they wouldn't buy my low end golf clubs I think the customer service and quality of the place is pretty top notch. read more

Great selection at this location. They have stuff for kids for all sports in season - good choices of kids stuff football - used is so much cheaper. Baseball items, too, and skatboarding, as well as large exercise equipment. I always found the staff (though young college kids) very helpful. read more
