Bought new Refrigerator 2023, kept making click noise. Young tech came and replaced fan in fridge, still made same noise. At 19 months fridge quit and lost contents. Haley Service department would come look for fee, but if it was compressor they don't work on them. ??What?? Found someone else to look at it and repaired it and could have been that ice maker in freezer was turned on the whole time. Was not hitch up to provide ice. That was clicking noise I kept hearing and may? have been why compressor died.? Also Whirlpool was of no help except to sell me an extended warranty thru another company! Bought a washing machine and dryer combination from Hailey's in Lynchburg, VA over a year ago with Warranty. The washing machine would break down every other month and it would take months to fix. I used it less than 15 times. With over a year of technicians saying they replaced everything on it but it still doesn't work. I was told warranty was out and they would give me a $250 credit towards a new one. I feel scammed???? read more

We bought a new washer/dryer from Haileys this week and the guys brought them out and took our old ones. I have to write a review to let people know what a GREAT job they did. They took our old W/D and set up the new ones in maybe 30 minutes. Very friendly Men who took their time to make sure we were satisfied. Our New W/D works perfect. Hailey Refrigerator Review March 2025 Hailey's provided an excellent sales, delivery, and installation experience. Their team, not contractors, delivered the appliances and installed the microwave. We were told that "We service what we sell". That was big for us. But if your refrigerator compressor dies after just 50 weeks, you're on your own. "We don't do compressors. Any other part, yes, but not compressors". The reason is the new R600A freon. Still, that would have been nice to know up front and we would still have bought the refrigerator because all manufacturers are required to use that refrigerant. The compressor was under warranty by Whirlpool. But the only help we received from Hailey's was a Post-It note from the service- tech that contained an 800 number and a case number. I was told I had to call and schedule another company to replace the compressor in a factory sealed system. I ended up going to Hailey's complaining and their sales advisor and manager provided another Post-It note with the correct option numbers to get me to Whirlpool's service team. I made the calls, I sat for 15-20 minutes each time, I scheduled 2 additional service calls, and each one declined to work on it. I called Whirlpool again, and they wanted to schedule another tech, and I said no, we're done. I complained again to Hailey's, and they finally made a call to Whirlpool after the threat of perhaps attorney involvement. The only call we got from Hailey's was the one telling us the unit would be replaced. I made the calls because Hailey's said the calls had to come from us, not them. They never even offered to make the calls together. They insisted it was part of the "process" and told us I really needed to lean on Whirlpool for action. Two weeks after the refrigerator was declared DOA the replacement arrived. The water dispenser didn't work. We waited another day for a tech to fully insert and turn the water filter for water and ice. Total time lapse...4 weeks and 3 days. No call to see if we're satisfied. So, nice folks, but be aware, their slogan should be....We service what we sell, except compressors! If it fails, you're on your own. They will take no responsibility for getting it fixed until you have finished "the process". Jim T read more

After one of the big box stores said the purchased refrigerator would not fit (in the house, in the space, etc.), Hailey's delivery personnel got the exact same model in the house, installed, and operating in about 20 minutes. Courteous and friendly delivery personnel.... Buying from Hailey's will save you hassle for sure.. the minimal delivery charge was well worth it! read more

In May 2021 I purchased a Whirlpool WRS315SDHM refrigerator SN HRA0891362 from these folks. For at least the last several months and very possibly since I first purchased it, this refrigerator would work fine for about three weeks or so and then the cooling system stops running for several hours (32 to 96 hours) after which it will return to normal operation for another three weeks or so. When the cooling stopped, the defrost cycles would continue to run and when they did, the ice in the ice tray would melt and the water would run out the ice dispenser to form a puddle on the floor. It took a while before my wife and I caught on to what was happening with this unit -- we initially thought that one or the other of us had left the door ajar. Check out the attached picture of the temperature log for the freezer section. The service department at Hailey's Appliance was contacted and over a period of months has been unable to resolve this issue. The service department was notified each time the unit began its OFF cycle, but a service representative was never available to show up while the refrigerator was misbehaving. At some point, I purchased temperature data loggers to monitor and log the temperature in the freezer section and the refrigeration compartment. A picture of the logged data for the freezer section is attached -- at the end of the OFF cycle, the temerature in the refrigerator section would be greater than 50 F. There have been multiple attempts to change out components: 1. Order new controller (it came in damaged and repair visit was aborted) 2. Re-order new controller (incorrect part received and repair visit was aborted). 3. Re-order new controller and replaced current controller. This did not resolve the problem. 4. Replaced wire harness - did not resolve the problem. 5. Replaced some more wiring, etc. - did not resolve the problem. The last time this refrigerator began its OFF cycle on 2022-03-29, the service department indicated that they would not be able to send anyone out until 2022-04-05. The refrigerator remained OFF for 96 hours -- I purchased two coolers so we could store food until the refrigerator would resume operation. Hailey's was not able or willing to make this right by replacing this unit due to "policy" requiring that they had at least some minimum number of chances to fix the unit and indicated that they would very likely have to make at least one and probably two more service visits before they would be willing to replace the unit. Final resolution: I told them to come and pick up the unit and take it away so that I would not have to pay the $30 take-away charge the folks who would be delivering a replacement refrigerator would charge to haul this defective unit away. It was made clear that I could expect no compensation for the return of this unit but they were gracious enough not to charge me for hauling it away. I am now in the process of purchasing a replacement refrigerator that will definitely not be purchased from Hailey's Appliance and will not be a Whirlpool. As a final note, almost any other appliance in my home I could easily accommodate interrupted function -- the refrigerator is not on this list. read more
