Like 1 8 lb was different than the other 8 lb. Plus, I hated all the colors and thought they would look awful out on a rack. I took that as a sign to just get the weights I wanted. I thought I was going to have to drive to Columbus to go to an exercise equipment manufacturer to get reasonably priced set of dumbbells, however they weren't open on Sundays. My bf stumbled upon G&G Fitness and found that they had several locations. He contacted one and asked them about their dumbbells and the employee was incredibly friendly and helpful. She looked up their inventory and let us know that Monroeville had everything I wanted. On Sunday, I made the 1 hourish drive to Monroeville instead of the 3 hourish drive to Cleveland. I arrived and the gentleman working was helpful, friendly and welcoming. He collected the 3s, 5s, 8s, 10s, 12s and 15s I wanted. He even offered to help me load them in my car. Their dumbbells were a little more expensive than the place in Columbus, but I figure saving 4+ hours of drive time was worth it. This store is a hidden gem and I'm so happy to have found it. They had a large collection of exercise equipment, machines and weights. I never felt judged because of being a girl and the customer service could not have been any better. Next time I need something exercise related, I'll check G&G before considering a trip across state borders.

I paid over $100 for them to come to my house and diagnose the problem with my $2,500 elliptical. They advised me that it was a simple solution and it simply needed a wire replaced and it would be 4 to 6 weeks as the item is on back-order. The part arrived in June and the service repairman determined that he ordered the wrong part and that he would have to order a new wire. They contacted me in October 2021 over 7 months after the initial diagnosis to advise me that it was not the wire, but a motor that needed to be replaced and despite their error in diagnosis (which I paid over $100 for their expertise) and the seven months without a working piece of exercise equipment, that they weren't going to refund me a penny for the repair, but that they would credit me toward the purchase of a new $2,500 machine. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

WAY different vibe than different similar branded stores, in a good way! Everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable, and even though they didn't have what I was looking for this trip I will totally be back next time I have something in mind. They had popular brands like Yeti, Vuori, North Face, etc. and when I visited they had clothing items 25% off so I would call before going to ask if a specific item you are looking for may be on sale!

The layout definitely reminded me of a Dick's Sporting Goods store. Everything was pretty pricey, as expected from name-brand outdoor gear, such as The North Face, Columbia, and Patagonia. I learned that you can actually rent all sorts of gear, including tents, sleeping bags, snowboards, bikes and kayaks. They also offer classes/events, mostly focused on rock climbing for now. I do feel that their climbing rates were a bit high for the limited space that they have. Their climbing wall has only 5 vertical routes with a very small bouldering area, and they charge ~$20 for one hour. As an avid indoor rock climber, I would recommend visiting one of Pittsburgh's climbing gyms instead. Their day passes cost ~$20 as well, and you can climb for as long as you like. I see the benefit of having the wall for trying on climbing shoes if you're looking to buy, but not so much for recreational purposes.
