I love this company, but I can't get over how the building makes my chest hurt like a musty basement does. They have a great selection of trading card packs, and tabletop RPG items for sale. There is a large space for gaming with tables chairs and even board games to play. They have a couple snacks for sale, I noticed as well. The man behind the counter was very nice and even opened a box of dragon sleeves to show me that they weren't hard to see through! Dropped off 8 short boxes of comics to see if they wanted to buy (150 comics per box so around 1200 comic books) they took a week to review them then called me with an offer, what a joke that was. They offered me $100 cash or $200 in trade. I have collected for over 30 years and have sold books before never been this insulted. One word for this shop THIEFS!!!! I ordered three $500 Magic the Gathering collector booster boxes back in February. Despite knowing the product was popular and in high-demand (and thus unlikely to be fulfilled), the store waited until release day in June to cancel and refund my order. The cancelation was done with no notice or apology - the only reason I noticed was because I saw it pop up in my PayPal account. I am a reasonable customer and would have understood a cancelation back in February or March. This would have given me a chance to lock in an order through alternative means; however, I really have no choices now as the booster boxes are impossible to find at the prices they were back in February and March. Very disappointed and would highly recommend anyone thinking about ordering from them to not - especially if the product is a preorder! read more

I called the store to ask about a gift for a birthday the next day. I needed a play booster box of a specific set of Magic cards. I was quoted a price. I went in the next day and a different person told me that I was quoted the wrong price and sold it to me for over $60 more. I was in a hurry and believed when he said I had been quoted a wrong price by a confused employee. At the party I was told I was overcharged and shown the price from other local small game stores and TCG. Both showed the original price I was quoted. I called the store back and asked to speak to a manager and was told that managers don't set the prices and are unavailable. They acknowledged that they usually follow TCG pricing somewhat but that in this case they did not and refused to adjust. I will NEVER spend a penny there again. read more

I've been a gamer and comic fan for over 20 years and this place is a staple in the Syracuse gaming and comic community that everyone knows. I really like how they have such a wide selection of comics and MtG cards but I do not like their prices. Just an example, all their rares are at least $2.00 for a base price. Even if the card is literally worth only a quarter, they still want $2.00 for it. Or recent comics that have no real value like from the 90's, that are worth maybe a dollar on a good day, they want like 3-4 dollars for them. Their board game selection is amazing and I love how they have weekly tournaments for several different types of card games. And a tip, if you don't see what you are looking for, ask one of the staff members, they do have comics that are not on the floor and they will try to accommodate you and find what you need. All in all, it's a bit pricey but it's a great gaming/comic shop. Check it out! read more

Very disappointed with this shop. The staff always seems disgusted to work with customers who are shopping for comics. If you prefer the gaming community then they should get rid of the comics. Today was national comic book day, normally hanging on the walls they put their key issues. They took down 90% of them because they didn't want offer a discount. Last year they offered 50% discount this year only 25% with less to choose from. The store looks very drab and uninviting with a staff to match. I definitely will not return to this establishment. If I could give less than 1 star I would. read more

Absolutely terrible. I Called before placing an order to make sure they had items in stock. They assured me that they have them in stock. So I went forward and placed a $200 order via their website. Of course, A few days later I get a PayPal notification that my order was cancelled with the reason being "out of stock"...‍ Now I have to wait weeks to get the cash back from the refund. Just had a terrible experience with one of the employees here. He was extremely rude when I was looking for several hundred dollars worth of magic singles. I told him I would buy them elsewhere and went to Larger than Life instead and spent about 250 bucks. This was the second time I've had a problem there, the other involved a call about some singles I was looking for. I was told they had most of the singles I was looking for. A couple hours later I drove over 70 miles to pick them up only to be told when I arrived that they didn't have a single copy of any of the cards I was looking for. Terrible attitudes and service, I recommend going to Larger Than Life or Cloud City Games instead. read more

Excellent store with good customer service. They have pretty much everything you need to run a role playing game - books, sets, dice.... And it's especially a nice place to start out for beginners (like me). The used comics selection is really superb and very easy to kill a lot of time ogling at old-school Marvel issues. One minor critique is it seems like they could expand their stock a *tiny* bit (specifically, a larger selection of miniatures and more D&D options). But overall, it's an awesome store. Support your local game stores! Great selection of both board games and comics, and a pretty vast selection of Magic singles as well. Event area is large and well laid out, and regular events are always run well. The staff is super friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to make sure you're getting what you want. read more

Their prices are terrible - full MSRP. They convinced me to pay to join a club to earn points I could redeem toward merchandise, but when I went back one month later I was told those points had been "wiped." I'll never shop here again - there are far better comic stores in the area. read more

The worst experience I have ever had with a gaming store. Promised an event they were not equipped to run, lied to the players about the ability to provide promised prize support, and staff was almost uncompletely unresponsive before finally admitting they were not going to provide what they said they would. I won't give the store any money again, and I don't recommend you do, either. read more

Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming staff. A well stocked shop with lots of content. This is all I could ask for, but they go further. Little things like having deck boxes already constructed are clutch. Having staff who can make recommendations based on whatever your interests are without telling you that they prefer something else...it is all really important.
