I have ordered to go from here once or twice a week since I had it the first time over a year ago. They have consistent timely service and quality options. I always get the Pura Vida bowl because it's simple and sweet. Each base is tasty and smooth. Note on the oatmeal bowls: they are slow cooked so they aren't always ready for earlier parts of the day but are worth it!
Still love playa bowls! I haven't been in a while since the weather has been cold, but I came for a Valentine's Day treat and they were giving two bae bowls if you bought one. I really am not one to branch out much when I know what I like but I took a risk getting the bae bowl and I actually really liked it!!!! I wish it wasn't a seasonal item. Service was great as always they are super friendly there every time. Can't wait to come back more when the weather heats up a little more.
This was super tasty! I placed an online order & it was ready 10 minutes early. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. Definitely will be back.
My second time coming to this place. And let me tell you how delicious this Nutella coconut bowl is. With all the right toppings on it. You can load all the fruits you crave. One bowl can literally feed 2 people depends how hungry you are. If you are in the Metropolitan area please stop here for all of your smoothie, juices and of course bowls your taste buds will Thank you!!
Love the fruit bowl here it's cold and delicious and I have not gotten anything I don't like yet. It also had a reward program to get points for free bowl if accumulated. The workers are all very friendly and it's a small cute hangout place. I do not know it's as healthy because the sugar content is actually not as low; you can't really control it as you can make smoothie bowl at home. But the good thing is they actually post the nutritional facts online and you can see what to choose and eliminate which was great help because sometimes I'm on low sugar low carb days and I can choose according to my macros. Some would say it's a bit expensive as well but buying all ingredients yourself can cost a bit and takes time as well so definitely wouldn't mind coming here once in a while when I get some sweet craving.

If you're looking for a healthy-ish dessert (or snack), this is the place to go. It's conveniently located in the Arlington Marketplace off Burbank and Lee. There's plenty of parking too. The store is so so cute. Like an instagrammer's dream. The first time I came here I had a little hiccup with the bowl I received but management reached out to me and fixed it asap. The customer service here is pretty great. You can tell they really care and are proud of the quality of their bowls! All of their bowls are so photogenic and delicious. I really like the acai and pitaya bases. They're sweet enough and the fruit toppings compliment it well. If I'm trying to be a little extra, I'll get the nutella ones. I really like coming here for dessert after going out for dinner. The prices are a little steep but I do think it is worth it, especially if you share. I can't wait to come back here for another sweet treat!
When you first walk in, you feel like you just stepped on to a beach in Hawaii or California. This place is decorated so colorful, with so much pineapples, and so cute with lots of photo ops. My daughter and I love the NUTELLA. $11 a bowl may sound high for some but it's definitely worth it because of the amount you get. It comes with açaí, strawberry, banana, and coconut flakes. You can add a variety of toppings for $0.50 each. There is also an option to split the base fillings where you can choose either açaí and pitaya or coconut and green. I tried doing the açaí and pitaya the other day and personally I think I like the açaí better because the pitaya was a little tart.

This is definitely an awesome place to check out for healthy, great tasting acai bowls. I got their special North Pole Bowl and it tasted like a dessert! Going into more detail: Pros: Great tasting bowls Lots of variety-you can add extras if you want to customize Healthy and different!! Cons: The service was kind of slow. There was only one person in front if me, but it still took them a while to take my order. Bowls are pricy-for the amount you put, you definitely get a lot of good, fresh ingredients though! Overall, on days where you're sick of eating greasy food, give this place a try, you won't be disappointed!

Visiting there always makes me feel like I just walked in from a sandy beach. So, now onto the menu. I always want it all! There hasn't been a single menu item that I did not like. My favorite base is the pitaya base because of the bright pink color. I've tried every single base. Want to create your own, with the toppings you want? You can! Can't decide on a base? Great news... you can combine 2 of the bases in 1! Did I mention I love this place? I love smoothies, so why not a smoothie in a bowl with the most delightful toppings: fresh fruit, granola, coconut flakes, Nutella, honey, etc. Yes, I feel so lucky to be about a 5 minute drive from there. Now they even have build-your-own-bowl kits to make at home! Not feeling like a bowl? They do have smoothies and cold brew coffee (on tap)! In their refrigerator case, they have cold-pressed smoothies, wellness shots and artisanal water. The customer service here is great, too! Great outing! I took my 8 year old here one Saturday afternoon. The place is cute, clean, and cozy inside. The staff were very friendly. They took their time explaining the ingredients and different bowls. They let us try different samples before we made our choice. I knew I wanted something with Nutella. I told them that I had tried a sample when they were at Embassy Suites but didn't know what it was. They were able to tell me what I had from that event. My daughter couldn't make up her mind so the friendly staff recommended one of their specialty bowls. I forgot the name of it but it was delicious. It had strawberries, white chocolate, cocoa, etc. She really enjoyed it. I'm trying to cut the fast foods from her diet so I i really felt good about taking her here. We paid about $22 for 2 bowls. The bowls were much bigger than I thought. We could have easily shared one bowl. We decided to eat in. It was a little cold but we still enjoyed this outing! She has already asked to go back. I want to try a smoothie next time. Definitely returning.

*This is one of my main stops when I'm the area! Why, because I know I can get FRESH pressed juices. Although this trip back, their juice machine was down and the young lady stayed it's been down for the past 3-4 months-damn it!!! I was CRUSHED!!! I have to have my fresh juice in the mornings-traveling and didn't bring any. Anyways - I still have them a 5 star because I've frequent this establishment COUNTLESS of time when I'm the area and it ALWAYS give my body what it needs! Pure satisfaction to my cells. :-) . Soooo. Since their juicer was down; I opt to get a smoothie. This one is their "mermaid"? However I custom built mine. Took out few things and subbed. Yeap! If you're looking for a healthy way to start your day with some friendly faces this is the place to go. They did their best to accommodate my newly acquired pineapple allergy due to my pregnancy. I first got a Pitaya bowl but upon completion of making it I was told the pitaya is blended with pineapple (it is clearly stated on the list but I missed it). While it was totally my fault they changed it to Açaí with an apology and a smile. Very pleasant experience, I can't wait to return!! read more

All I can say is YUM!!! If you're looking for fresh smoothies, bowls, and juices with a super fun atmosphere this is the right place for you. The owners and managers have such great energy and you can really tell how much this place means to them. I have tried each of the bases and the GREEN and PITAYA are by far my two favorites. I usually get a mixed bowl with those two as bases. Everything is SO fresh and the colors are vibrant. I will most definitely be back. One thing I haven't gotten to try yet are their oatmeal bowls. They market them as their one hot (temperature) item. I love oatmeal so I'm excited to return to try that in the near future. read more

This was my first time ever hearing about Playa Bowls and when I heard they were opening a location in Baton Rouge soon, I couldn't be more excited. I went on their grand opening day and had their Pura Vida Açaí Bowl and it was so refreshing and delicious! It was definitely the thing to have on a super hot day! No better escape for my weekday lunch breaks than Playa Bowls! I come to not only grab the best (and healthy!) type of lunch out there, but also to decompress from my work day and catch up on emails without interruption. I truly feel like I am at the beach and the staff is AMAZING!!! They know exactly what I'm going to order right when I walk in and are very friendly and accommodating. Playa Bowls is awesome! I'm so glad they opened a location in Baton Rouge. I've gone here multiple times, and the service is always very good. I would definitely recommend splitting your bowls so you can try more--I got the pink flamingo bowl, half green base. You can get any bowl with two different bases, which is different from any other açaí place I've been too! read more

The bowl was awesome. It was the Nutella açaí bowl add chia seeds and cacao. Definitely going to get that again. The Ding Repair is pretty good for vegetable juice. I wouldn't get the Dang Smoothie again. It's not bad, tastes like gingerbread, but just not for me. Overall I think it's a great place. read more

Best açaí bowls by far in the Baton Rouge Area. They do not skimp when it comes to toppings. Absolutely love the fact that you can do 2 flavors in one bowl. Very cute inside and great for pictures. Will recommend to people. read more

So freakn good!! This is hands down the best açaí/coconut bowl I've ever had - that goes for California too haha The açaí base tastes exactly like it should - berries and is thick. I dislike watery bases. The coconut base is amazing as well. If you love coconut, you'll enjoy this base - it's also cold and thick. I also love that they have a variety of bowls - açaí, coconut, kale, oats, and more! If you're uncertain, you can do a "mixed bowl" - which is pretty much half and half; which is what I ordered. Another great thing about this place is the toppings - mango! Kiwi! Nutella!!! I mean they have so much you can't go wrong and I can guarantee you'll come back! Besides their bowls, they offer smoothies and green drinks. The ambiance is really cool and chill - their menu is on a chalkboard :) didn't take a pic since there's already enough cute pictures of the inside. Awesome little spot with friendly staff!
