I've never had food from here and decided to try it for lunch and I was not disappointed. The star was the apple and kale slaw. I'd eat that by itself it's so healthy and refreshing. The chicken bacon ranch was very good. It came it a nice amount of chicken and bacon. This meal was light and didn't make me sluggish for the rest of the day. The smoothies are great however every single time I have gone in there no one speaks to me. They do not greet me when I enter, They do not ask me if I would like to order, or if I have placed an online or app order. I feel that that's poor customer service and slightly rude also not crazy about any of the foods that I have ordered. read more

I've been here several times and I hadn't thought of writing a review. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming. The early morning specials are well worth it. The smoothies are more than enough for two people to share. I always get mine split into two cups to share with my little one. The food items aren't bad either I've had the wrap and my son the turkey and cheese kids meal. I love the smoothie bowls. The last one I had the pineapples weren't good but the rest of the fruit were good and it was a nice size bowl to start the morning. read more

This is a great place to get smoothies - one of the best smoothie shops. The smoothies are large and generally tasty. My go to is the bahama mama. I have also had the sunrise sunset, and pomegranate plunge and have always been happy. The Watermelon Mojito, and Mango Berry Cosmo are good too and come with cool and yummy edible straws. The edible straws are sturdy and won't melt as you drink. The food is also tasty. I've enjoyed the bacon chicken ranch flatbread and the buffalo chicken wrap. They have a combo deal where you order a smoothie and a lunch item and you get a couple dollars off. I love that they automatically apply this discount too. The employees have generally been kind and welcoming. The cafe is bright with fun colors. You can sit and eat if you choose. There's also a drive-through for those days you don't want to get out the car. Please do your tastebuds a favor and drink/eat here. read more

Wow oh Wow I absolutely love this place, this smoothie café is located next to a barbershop I go to. I heard many great things about this place so I decided to try it after getting my haircut one day and instantly loved it. My go to smoothie is the peanut butter cup. It is a great smoothie with no junk in there that I enjoy. This place also has foods such as flatbreads and wraps that I usually get along with my smoothie. Horrible service! Literally sat in there for 45 minutes waiting on a Green Yogurt bowl! One girl stated it will take a while because they don't have it made up, ok cool. I'm assuming they were getting to my order, but they never said a word, I watched them make multiple orders and give other orders out. I finally asked how much longer for my order, the girl apologized and said it's coming. Then 5 minutes later, she said "I'm sorry but it's not coming out right, would you like something else" I politely said no thank you, because I had already been in there for 45 minutes and just refund it. Now although I appreciate her for being honest, because I would have hated to spend $10 on a bowl that was not fixed how it should have been fixed. But having a customer wait that long is unacceptable and not even acknowledge the customer until the customer mentions the order is not cool. read more

My friend had already been to a few of their locations in other states so on their opening day she was insistent on visiting. I am always somewhat skeptical of Thai infused foods but I felt as though now was the best time to try it. The restaurant thoughtfully put the peanut sauce on the side which was as additional plus. Here is a timeline of my poor experience on 2/28/23: -I got in line at 12:40 PM with 3 cars ahead of me -I made it to the menu to order at 12:58 PM but was asked to wait before ordering -Finally placed my order at the 1:08 PM -Paid for food at 1:12 -Received food at 1:13 During the obnoxiously long wait, three cars that were behind me left the line. It's lunch time! Why did it take over 30 mins to order a smoothie and flatbread. This entire process needs to be streamlined and service needs to be provided faster to customers. My go-to place in BR for smoothies that taste very fresh and not like they are made with too many powders. My favorite flavors are the Avocolada if I am looking for a healthier drink and Bahama Mama if I want a sweeter dessert drink. There is only one cup size, which is quite large and could easily serve as a meal replacement. This location has a convenient drive-through, which can often have a long line, but service is always friendly and pleasant. I've only tried a few food items, which were not memorable and small portioned for the price point. So I only come back for the delicious smoothies. read more

A solid okay. Definitely not bad, but nothing special. I ordered via UberEats pickup, and arrived when the app said ready. I walked up to the door and it was locked - I had to call the store. They sounded a bit confused and asked what I ordered through. I told them UberEats and they hung up. A few mins later a man let me in, and asked my name on the order. It wasn't terribly long before he made it (5-10mins) but odd that it was marked ready when it was not. Ordered 2 bowls, a Baja bowl and Caribbean bowl. Ordered extra chicken on one and definitely did NOT receive extra on either. Both were very scarce on chicken. The best part was absolutely the slaw... AMAZING. If I go back it'll be for the slaw. I love Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I have only visited TSC a few times, but each visit has been a hit! My friend and I love to meet here to catch up and grab a bite to eat. It is conveniently located near LSU on Lee Drive. It may be a little difficult to get to if you come from College/I-10 when it goes down to one lane. Never the less, persist! As for food, I recommend the Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread and Blueberry Bliss Smoothie for your meal. Each time I have gotten this combo, it is gone in minutes. If you aren't in the mood for a full meal, a smoothie is large enough to fill you and there are options a plenty. My friend's go to is the Acai Berry Boost. If you are looking for vegan options, there are some, just ask the staff! The staff has always been helpful in navigating the menu, getting out orders quickly and creating a friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is small, but feel spacious and has a lot of seating options from booths, tables and high top tables. Treat yourself and check out TSC! read more

I'm a HUGE fan of the Tropical Smoothie Cafe chain in general so imagine my excitement when I found out Baton Rouge finally got one! This TSC location did not disappoint. Clean and very similar atmosphere to all the other ones. Incredibly friendly staff. They have a drive-through, which is super convenient. AND they have Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 7-9 AM on their smoothies! I would highly highly recommend trying any and all of their smoothies. My personal favorites are the Avocolada and Chia Banana Boost (I like the strawberry one but it also comes in peanut butter). I love that you can still customize your smoothies. If you want to avoid sugar or be even healthier, make sure to mention that you don't want turbinado. For food, I would definitely recommend the Caribbean Jerk Chicken wrap. I really like their wraps and their flatbreads. Can't comment on their sandwiches or bowls though, since I haven't had those. Portions are very good, and pricing is very reasonable. You can get a complete meal for under $10 (including an entree, smoothie, and side). The only thing I could see room for improvement on was their speed. But hey, I know they just opened up, and their friendliness makes up for it. Overall, definitely a fan and would definitely recommend. And if you become as big of a fan as me, join their rewards program so you can get freebies and special offers! read more

I went in and there ended up being a huge rush, and I could tell the people working were doing their best to make everyone's orders on time. The prices for everything is very fair and it's good quality. The smoothies are also really tasty and fresh. My favorite things to order are the chipotle chicken club or chicken pesto flatbreads.
