Players Inn is many things to many folks here in West Nashville, but to the regulars it is a local hole in the wall/dive bar that is better known as just Players. Players offers all the standards of a local dive including pool tables, darts, arcade games, cold beer, smell of smoke, live music, sassy bartenders and surprisingly good pizza. Players is sort of hidden away from the main eye of folks in Bellevue and is located a block off of Highway 70 on Old Harding Road. It sits in an old shopping plaza with a few other local spots. Parking is plentiful, but can get tricky when the night gets late and the folks of Bellevue get thirsty! I will say that this spot is not for everyone, but I did enjoy seeing the variety of folks around the bar and on the pool tables. If you are looking for a chill local dive, then Players has you covered. Service was decent, they seem to be a little sassier with the new comers, but what local bar isn't? The pool tables are in good shape and they have live music and trivia through out the week. My only other gripes are the smoke smell and single person bathrooms. They have the outdoors enclosed right now and it leads right into the main area, but hopefully in the better weather months this will be less of an issue. Overall, Players is a decent spot. I have a feeling that we will be coming here more for carry out pizza than pool, but whatever works! read more

My wife and I stopped by to check the place out, and learn about any local leagues they might have. The owner greeted us warmly and graciously answered all our questions. The establishment is relatively small -- half bar and the other half for pool and dining. It wasn't crowded, and there were plenty of regulars having a good time. We stayed for a burger and chips which was good, then headed to the bar to pay. When we got back to the car, I realized I didn't have my cell phone. We searched the car then went back inside to inquire if anyone had seen it, but no luck. We looked again in the car without success, then started heading back, but a man came out and said he heard we were looking for it, and handed me the phone. I expressed my gratitude and raced off to church to praise God for His provision. I will definitely return to Players Inn the next time we visit Bellevue. read more

The worst owner and clientele in Nashville. You will be bullied by the owner if you aren't a Trump follower. So many drugs come in and out of that place, and lots of thefts and fights. They remodeled a few years ago and went non-smoking, but it's just lipstick on a pig. Food is all made from frozen. Bartenders are cool though. read more

Will never come to players again, I'm literally a regular and love all the staff. I took a 27 year old girl on a date to players and told her how fun the bar was, but when we got there they would not serve her because she had a "Colorado I.D." and that she had to look above 30 years old. They said they would not serve anyone unless they had a Tennessee I.D. And looked above 30. I'm so upset! My favorite dive bar. I work downtown where we deal with 1000x time the traffic, I'm mind blown. read more

Excellent atmosphere where everyone is welcoming. Like the Genius Bar of dive bars you don't know who you will see; guys in dreads and business types or college kids, you'll see an old codger here and there but one or two are song-writers in disguise. The waitstaff are awesome and will remember you by first name by the second visit. I'm not much of a drinker; but they serve my water or Diet Coke with the same courtesy as anyone else. The food is freshly made on order, best selection of tasty bar food I've ever seen. Activities almost every night. If you are looking for just a place chill okay, But if you are new in town and know no one-this is the place to make human connections. This is the place where everyone know your name. read more

For those of you out of towners who somehow find this place... DON'T DO IT! About the only thing appealing about this place is the $7 pitchers. Other than that, it really has no redeemable quality. The pool tables/cues are worn out from constant abuse, which can also be said about the patrons here. The only time I ever go in to this place is if it is my LAST option. BEST five star dive bar in Nashville. It's where the locals go to hang out. Multiple TVs for sports, pool tables and darts. Highly recommend

Food is decent, but served on Dixie-ware with sparse napkins. Atmosphere is decent with some serious 1970's era music taste, with a few pool tables but use caution if you don't like smoke, as a gas-mask is all but required for non-smokers. Not recommended for the faint of heart if you like dark beer. read more

Great place to go and fun with some great patrons. Friendly staff and they take care of you. And as for the pool tables are beautiful. That man just must have been a rude person that came I there. They have been there for almost 20 years so that should say enough for them. Thanks to all that work there. And a great place to meet wonderful people.
