First time to Nashville and this place was down the street from my hotel. Very friendly bartender. The beer was delicious. And I got the meat in three. Pulled pork, cheese, grits, collard greens and fried okra. Everything was delicious. I especially like they're two bbq sauces, and as well they have a bottled hot sauce. Reasonably priced and it filled me up!

Great customer service and they are pretty fast. We got the whole farm! The meat was moist and delicious. Great place to enjoy barbecue with your friends and family. Make a reservation!

I owe my wife, my mother and Puckett's an apology. For years, I thought I didn't like meatloaf. Turns out I just hadn't had Puckett's meatloaf. What arrived was a Southern masterpiece: a hearty blend of beef smothered in rich gravy and onions, served over mashed potatoes with green beans alongside. One bite in and I understood why this dish has survived generations. Wow. Comfort food doesn't get much more comforting than this. My wife and I also shared the barbecue chicken with sweet potato fries and coleslaw. Everything was spot on. The chicken was tender, the fries were excellent, and the slaw brought just the right balance to the plate. Then came the unexpected bonus. The kitchen accidentally brought us an order of sliced brisket. Our server told us to keep it. Well, it would've been rude not to try it. Holy cow. Literally. The brisket was smoky, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. If that was the mistake, I'd hate to see what happens when everything goes according to plan. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Southern cooking at its finest. Five stars.

Stopped in for lunch here with work group and the place had a good amount of people already; luckily we were seated fairly fast. Our server was super friendly and quick to greet us. I got the pulled pork which was good. They have bbq sauces on the table but I enjoyed the pork more without them (I believe they're vinegar based and I prefer my bbq sauce more sweet). I enjoyed the creaminess of the mac n cheese, I can't remember if there's a loaded mac n cheese on the menu but this would be a good base for it! Good spot overall.

4.4* (out of 5) Food: 5* Atmosphere: 4* Value: 4* Service: 4* Would I go back / Recommend?: 5* (Definitely) Total check/person: $18 (no alcohol for this meal...) 03/22/2026 This place came up in one of my wife's searches and was close to our hotel while staying downtown, so was on our short-list of places we wanted to visit. We did stop for dinner on the way back from Broadway our last night...and are so glad that we did, as the food was delicious! We had already had a few adult beverages in the music venues on Broadway, so limited our consumption to food alone at Puckett's. My wife ordered the BBQ Taco Salad (see picture) and I went for the Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich with slaw (see picture). As we usually do, we shared our meals and both of us really enjoyed both of them. The pulled pork was well done and soft, the sweet potato fries were crispy and delicious - and both of the primary sauces were also very good! Assuming you are a smoked meat fan (and why else would you stop...), you will enjoy your meal at Puckett's! If you found this review helpful, please show your appreciation with a Like or a Follow. A solid 3.5! Kitchen needs better quality check on finished dishes before the go out. Especially when the restaurant is half empty. Staff was very nice and efficient! Really enjoyed the pimento cheese ball bites, the chicken and sausage gumbo was fantastic but the fried okra on top tasted like they had fried them too soon so they were greasy and soggy, as well as their wings were delicious. The Fried green tomatoes were stuck together so one side was fried and the other was gummy and others burnt. Shrimp and grits... I had 3 bites and that was enough. Way too much going on seasoning wise, asked for no bbq sauce drizzle but it happened anyway, shrimps were perfectly seasoned but could not taste the grits as there was just WAAAY too much of other things and flavors placed on top. KISS method works best for a classic dish like that. Fried green beans were lackluster but my fiancé said the smoked meat loaf was good and our friend really enjoyed the bbq ribs as well.

We recently visited Nashville and had to stop by Puckett's for breakfast! We went early on a Saturday morning, and the restaurant filled up very quickly. We ordered The Little Joe and the Farmboy Breakfast Sandwich. Both were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and made our experience even better. Definitely a spot we'd visit again!

Live music during dinner (Michelle Pereira, thank you for sharing your talent with us!!!!). Overall experience is 10/10! When in Nashville... make reservations for an evening show. You won't be sorry! Thank you Puckett's!!

Where do I start!? When visiting Nashville you HAVE to come to Puckett's Restaurant if you want the most amazing BBQ and down-to-earth service. Our server was Douglas and he was so incredibly kind and helpful. He gave us his advice on the best dishes (according to his view) and also gave us his feedback on the questions we had. As an appetizer we got sweet potato fries with their special dipping sauce. These fries were probably one of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had!! They were crispy on the outside, well seasoned (but not overdone) and still soft in the inside. They weren't "mushy" at all -- for those of you who get sweet potato fries, you know. We also tried the skillet mac and cheese which is a MUST try and flap jacks which are a very thin pancake style type food. Yum, so good! For my entree I got the Entrée Salad in the full/large size which comes with field greens, tomatoes, onions and shredded cheddar and jack cheeses. And than I of course added a meat, which I chose the cherrywood smoked pulled pork and BBQ ranch dressing. O-M-G, one of the best and most filling salads I got. And yes, its weird getting a salad at a bbq spot but let me tell you, they just do salads different so it makes sense!! And although we were full from our apps and meals, we had to try their famous cobbler of the day which was cherry!! It comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and that was just the "cherry" on the top for the most amazing lunch at Puckett's. When we left, we got a review card which our server Douglas wrote his name on it with a scripture book John 16:33 to look up (which I did): I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world". How awesome... to get a promise of peace and call for courage. All I know is that the next time in Nashville, I'll be paying a visit :).

Came here for breakfast and for dinner while in town. Firstly, as someone who got a crap ton of bbq while I was in town I'd say pass on this place for bbq. I got better elsewhere. Part of it was how dry everything was which was disappointing. With that said, service was tremendous. Special shout out to Kacey who served us one of the days. Really went out of her way to ensure we were having a good experience. She was just as gentle with the kids in our party as she was with the eldest one of our group. Honestly she's the only reason why I made this a 3 star versus a 2 star. That's because although each plate was massive everything was kinda lackluster. With that said, very much a family place which was nice and which is the reason we went there two times during our trip. We walked here from our hotel so I can't comment on the parking.

Yesterday we had lunch at this restaurant. You have to wait too be seated. Lots to choose from the menu. I tried their signature fruit tea. It was really good just no refills:( I had the Smoked meatloaf that was great with baked beans & green beans. My husband ordered the bologna sandwich with fries. He was not as impressed with his lunch. Great place to stop in!

You want a pretty tasty meal away from Broadway? This is your place. That smoked meatloaf was amazing. Bread pudding is good and dense - if that's how you like your bread pudding - bring a buddy. All the bartenders here are also musicians. Grab their Instagrams and give them a listen. 8/10 will return.

One of the first stops for our Nashville visit and we were definitely happy! The staff was welcoming, especially our server who provided recommendations on what meals to order. She regularly checked on us and made sure our waters stayed full. I particularly recommend getting an order of the Nashville hot chicken bites (they had a great kick), the music city hot chicken sandwich, and/or the piggy Mac. Honestly everyone was sharing a bite of what they got cause it was all delicious! I will say the side of mac n cheese is large. You could probably share between 2 to 3 people. We also were surprised at the small size of the fried shrimp basket. More fries than shrimp. We actually visited before they had live music scheduled. We did notice that it starts getting crowded closer to the evening (6pm), but may also be due to live music playing at that time.

You've got the Jack Cawthon's legendary…read moreJack's Bar-B-Que, pitmaster Carey Bringle's incomparable Bringle's Smokin' Oasis, and then you have Edley's. For the longest time, Bringle's was my absolute favorite in town, but Edley's may have just managed to take the crown. I almost feel like I'm cheating on Mr. Bringle by saying that, but as he famously put it, "You don't have to hate somebody else's barbecue to like mine." My default order at any top-tier joint is either a brisket plate or a multi-meat combo platter with brisket as the anchor. Edley's plates come properly equipped with two sides and a slice of cornbread. Where they really set themselves apart, though, is the menu flexibility: -The Add-Ons: You can throw on a $5 upcharge to add an extra 3 oz of meat or a jalapeño cheddar smoked sausage. -Burnt Ends: Edley's offers burnt ends, which is a bit of a rarity in town and something you don't easily find over at Jack's or Bringle's. If they're available when you order, grab them. Price-wise, Edley's isn't cheap, but it's far from overly expensive. It sits at fair market value, costing roughly what you'd pay for a comparable meal at any of the other major players in Nashville. The meats are high quality, wonderfully smoked, and packed with deep flavor. Beyond the rare burnt ends, the sauces here are what truly elevate the meal. Across the board, Edley's house sauces--from their classic red to their white sauce--are probably my personal favorites in the city. Between Jack's, Bringle's Smokin' Oasis, and Edley's, you genuinely cannot go wrong--Nashville barbecue is in great hands. But right now? Edley's holds my top spot. It is my ultimate "treat yourself" meal in town.

I had the brisket tacos, which were flavorful, though a little dry. I am giving grace here because it was takeout and possibly was much more moist prior to transport. I did like how the toppings brightened things up: cheese, slaw, pico de Gallo, bean salad, and fried jalapeños. I also had the Nashville hot link, a smoked sausage with house made spicy pimento cheese and pickled jalapeños. It was indeed pleasantly spicy. We shared some fries, which were hot, crisp, and well seasoned. They also have ribs, wings, bbq nachos and fries, fried pickles, bbq chicken and turkey, various sandwiches and platters. They also offer Nashville's staple hot chicken in platter, sandwich, and taco form. Catfish is another option, in all the same varieties. Sides: cornbread, Mac & cheese, baked beans, green beans (in bone broth and bacon). Cold sides such as bean salad, potato salad, Cole slaw. They also have a couple desserts and salads available, as well as a kids menu. Very affordable, as we got meals for 15 people for only 230 dollars.

I found myself over at Bellevue for dinner, 2 hours before my hockey game. I wanted quality food…read morebut not super carb heavy but also not something that could potentially wreck my stomach. After all, can you imagine having digestive problems while playing hockey? I love barbecue so I thought I'd try this place. I walked in and it wasn't at all busy at 5:32. However when I finished my order, the line was out the door. I asked the cashier what was good and the manager (maybe owner) walked over and I asked him. I wanted ribs or brisket, but needed a 2nd opinion. He said he would choose brisket because theirs is USDA Prime and he would put it against any other barbecue restaurant in Tennessee. Those are some bold words. So I ordered the brisket platter (fatty portion) with green beans and cinnamon baked apples. What I received was 3 good sized portions (1/2 pound) of fatty brisket. The meat was tender, melt in your mouth without an overbearing amount of fat clumped together. The bark was salty and very peppery. It was actually good enough to eat without a sauce. Speaking of, there was only one sauce on the table, so I used that. It was a sweet sauce, definitely honey-based but not overly sweet like other honey-based sauces I've had in the past. The thing is I love everything honey-related, so I would definitely buy this to take home. It was so good, I was scavenging for brisket fibers on my plate. So I praised the brisket but I think the shocker was the green beans. These were hands down, the best green beans I've ever had...ever. Salty, tender, peppery, with chunks of meat and fat, sprinkled with Parmesan cheese. Who would have thought that a side could be that good? Last but not least, the Cinnamon Baked Apples. I love baked/fried apples. Something about the tart and sweetness brings me back every time. The apples were soft, but not mushy. I would have liked them to be a little more tender and more slices of apples. I think there was more sauce than apples but nevertheless, they were great. Overall I'm glad I visited Honeyfire for the first time. I'm here often (near Bellevue) so I'll definitely be coming back again and again.

My go to for BBQ when I'm not wanting to take the time to smoke my own. The turkey is crazy tender…read more& juicy. Best smoked turkey you'll get. Brisket is fantastic. The grits are amazing & I love the hot chicken salad. My favorite dish is the Tuck special sandwich with brisket. Brisket, fried egg, pimento cheese... perfect. But they have made some bizarre changes lately. I use to LOVE their cornbread. But they changed it for some reason & not nearly as good as it use to be. They also got rid of the ghost pepper bbq sauce. Still mad about it. It was my favorite sauce. The Nashville sauce is great. Very good. But damn do I miss that ghost sauce. I bought up every bottle they had left when I found out they weren't making it anymore. I've used it sparingly but I'm on the last bottle. Also, if u order for pickup, they randomly run out of stuff & don't tell you. I'll place & order online & when I get there find out they're out of something. Which is a bummer when you are ordering in bulk for several people. All in all though, still my favorite bbq when I don't want to take the time to do it myself. Definitely recommend it. Just miss some of the old stuff & wish there was better communication or updates online when things are out of stock.

Visited Edley's in Nolensville on a Monday night with my husband and three young kids. I've been to…read moreall of the Edley's locations around Nashville, but this one is by far the best for families, mostly because of the outdoor play area. Parking was super easy, and the woman at the counter was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean, and the restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of tables and room to spread out, which is always appreciated when dining with little kids. My kids played outside while we waited for our food, but the food came out quickly. The kids' meals are some of the best values in town. One tip: the bun on the kids' cheeseburger is huge compared to the patty. I asked if they could add an extra patty, and they did for just $1. After removing some of the bun, it made for a much better burger and still kept the meal incredibly affordable. The spicy chicken tacos are also some of the best tacos in town. Our family of five ate for about $50. We usually buy Edley's gift cards at Costco, so our actual cost was closer to $40. It's refreshing to have a restaurant in Nashville that truly welcomes families while still serving great food. Highly recommend for anyone dining with kids.
