The mid-day recess sessions and the after school sessions have become an absolute game changer for my very active son. After just 2 weeks of attending Game Lab's programs, my son is almost back to his old smiling self. He looks forward to running around in the park with his kids playing organized games by attentive safety monitors. I am looking into additional programming for my tween (11 yo) with Game Lab this summer. I love this place for my girls, 5 and 7 years old. The game lab offers after school classes, but in June I was interested to try their all-day summer camp. (Bonus that they offer early drop off and late pick up, for working parents.) When I came to pick up my daughters, they didn't want to leave. They felt triumphant that they had played and explored new games that stretched their problem-solving skills, teamwork, and social negotiating skills with other children, with whom they worked on creating their games. Staff are professional, caring, very careful with finding out kids' needs, and patient. My girls look forward to going back.

Also, the website for Pingpod was a bit misleading and I ended up getting charged for drinks twice. It light up green for a few seconds to indicate success and then disappeared. There was no option to cancel so it was very easy to charge on the website but not quite to get a refund. Ended calling and got back in credits because they said they couldn't cancel the charge (disappointing) Overall though, great place and special shoutout to the slack community that appears to be very active.

In early 2021 they changed their policies and no longer accepted makeups for missed sessions, and also did not allow family members to use any of the extra sessions (which they had previously allowed) We must have missed the new update to the policies. In January of 2021, my sister in law passed away from cancer. She left behind two boys, my nephews, ages the same as my own. Long story short, we missed many of our classes during our time in mourning and supporting our family. When we did get back to resuming our sessions, we were disappointed, frustrated and shocked to find out that my nephews were not allowed to use the countless credits for classes we had racked up. In disbelief, I spoke to the General Manager, Micky, who refused to let my nephews jump into classes with my kids, "because the policies changed" and "because my nephews were not registered at The Little Gym". ***Keeping in mind, my nephews USED to be allowed to use our credits even though they were NEVER registered with The Little Gym. In further disbelief, I contacted the OWNER of The Little Gym in TriBeCa, including the memorial service info and tributes about my late sister in law who had passed away, in our communications. The owner said he was 'sorry, but would not make any exceptions despite the extra ordinary circumstances'. My hope is that after reading this, parents will stop wanting to continue to support this awful place.

I then contacted groupon who said they would contact the vendor and they should be in touch within 72hours. I waited 7 days and got no response. I paid $51 for a non-refundable Groupon. Customer Service is key and I, as a consumer, should not have to put in this much effort to schedule an appointment. Get. It. Together.

The worker reminded us right at the 2 hour mark that we had to finish up and leave, or that we could take our pieces to go and bring them back. We decided to just stop our pieces and leave them as is. We came back a few weeks later to pick up our finished pieces. Overall a fun spot that I've been to a few times, but definitely not affordable as a regular hobby.

They just lost their liquor license so you can't drink alcohol but they accommodated us ordering pizza and a few non alcoholic beverages and we had a great time painting our pieces. I painted a side plate and that costs $30 and with fees it should be closer to $50! The employees were super helpful and refilled our paint whenever we asked and were helpful in the whole process and even gave me some filtered water for drinking at their station. Can't wait to grab my piece from them and see the final look!
