I called to make my appointment, which I originally thought I'd have to do on the weekend since all other string stores are closed by the time I'm off work, and Molly was happy to give me some time on a Thursday night. I think I was there till a little after 8 and at no point did I feel rushed. When I arrived she had a select few violins ready for me to try for my level. In our initial phone call I hadn't given too much information about my skill but her selections for me were 100% what I needed. From reviews at other shops I thought I was going to be pressured into buying something expensive that I didn't need. That was absolutely not the case here. The selections she showed me were all in my price range and she answered any questions I had to make sure I chose the perfect instrument. I'll definitely be coming back.

As I was getting ready to leave, Charlie kindly opened the door and informed me that the store wasn't open on Mondays, but offered his assistance nonetheless. I explained that I needed clarification about my instrument rental agreement. Charlie was incredibly professional, courteous, and genuinely caring. He went above and beyond my expectations--not only did he thoroughly explain the details, but he also took the initiative to call the rental company directly to obtain the accurate information I needed. I even offered to come back on another day, but Charlie insisted on helping me right then and there. It's clear that Music Shack truly values their customers, and Charlie is a shining example of excellent service. Drums, microphones and even practice rooms as they offer classes. I love that you can try pretty much anything out before you buy it. The staff here is VERY busy and very helpful when you can catch them. Patience is key. This place is poppin' on the weekends so I would suggest a weekday visit to get more one on one attention if you need it. Just coming here to browse and be around musicians makes me happy.
