We have been coming here for years and I had to finally review Playtown! Doesn't matter when we show up whether first thing in the morning or a couple of hours before closing it is always sooooo clean it's shocking. That says a lot for a place that is all little kids coughing, sneezing and getting snot on everything. We even had our daughter's 3rd birthday there and it exceeded all expectations from decorations to entertainment. Now she is 6 and we returned after not coming for a while thinking she was to grown and her and her bestie didn't come near us for over two hours playing pretend. We had to lure them away with gelato a couple doors down. Added bonus. read more

A little pricey in my opinion but overall our little one had a wonderful time. He enjoyed the different activities and variety. He barely made it through the little houses before we had to leave. Incredibly cute and functional indoor play area for kids. I love how clean and organized it is. Each section has a new world for your little one to explore. The space isn't big, but it's enough. It has a cute set up for small children. The floor is entirely padded so if you baby is crawling then they will have a blast as well.

Took my little ones (10 months + 4) here after some serious hurricane cabin fever! My kids has a blast. The decor is simple and clean. There is an under 2 area (very small), a pretend house, a grocery store and fire house on one side. On the opposite was a vet clinic, salon, diner and ice cream truck. They also have a HUGE carpet in the middle for the little ones. Their bathrooms actually went the extra mile. They had a changing table with wipes in the wall and apparently had complimentary diapers. When I looked there were only a few size 6. I would never expect that but great idea! They also had ample parent sitting room and tables to play at. The only thing that has this beat at competitors is staff to actively play and clean up. Not a deal breaker but it's those extra touches that really warm up the place. On a completely different side note, the woman who I am assuming is the owner, walked in past a group of patrons, emptied the cash register and left. Not an acknowledgement to the girl working or her customers. Kind of strange for this market. read more

We decided to have our 3-year-old's birthday party here and it was truly a fantastic experience! Fabiana and Liliana are amazing and went above and beyond to ensure that our son and our guests had a wonderful time. The place is so clean and for birthday parties it's amazing because you can rent out the entire place for your event and not worry about random people there at the same time. I like this place. I believe it opened on July 15th, so it's very new. As you see in the photos it's very inviting for toddlers that enjoy playing pretend with various store front themed play areas. The full list is on their website. My 2.5 yr old loves the icecream truck. The layout is genius in that you can keep your eyes on them at all times, and even if you can't they aren't escaping anywhere, so moms/parents can catch a break. I will say my 5 stars is b/c they have no competition nearby and it goes towards their originality (otherwise 4.5 stars), but there is def some (very small) room for improvement if they care to hear it. Socks are required for everyone, non-skid is better b/c they have super slippery hardwood type floors. If you forget a pair they sell them. They do a pretty good job at cleaning the place and reorganizing the toys. Of course the younger ones are going to put things in their mouths and you're going to find a toy buzz cutter from the grooming playroom in the food bin of the kitchen playroom (thus is expected), so don't have your expectations that crazy. I love that they have a family restroom with a changing table equipped with baby wipes, sanitizing wipes and a diaper pail. They also have a stool and Bjorn attachable potty seat in both bathrooms; the other bathroom is unisex. Stools are really handy and def have your toddler in mind. Heck, there's even a Bumbo in their under two play area (it's small). Thumbs up! What's not pictured here is that they have three long tables facing the front of the storefront (by the entrance and check-in) where they have various things for drawing including a drawable table cover which I assume they change daily (not throughout the day?), so it can get pretty drawn up dep on when you go. They have a caddy full of markers, crayons and colored pencils. It's a nice break from the themed play areas. At the other tables they have Picaso tiles and one of those STEM screw peg boards along with some puzzles and even a Lego table. I even saw a Melissa & Doug latches board (I was always curious about that toy). There's larger Lego type blocks in the back by the bathroom. I also remember a few smaller round tables for the adults to relax and play with their phones. Lastly they have some random but very conveniently placed shopping carts (2), a wagon, some giant puppy & dog stuffed animals, a tricycle type along with a slide in the back right corner. They even have a pram stroller with a fake baby and a baby swing for it, too. How cute. Anyways I'm not really sure how old the kids can be to be entertained by that kind of stuff, but the older after school group def starts trickling in after 2:30pm as the younger not in school (or stay at home) toddlers start trickling out for nap time around 1-2pm. It's definitely entertaining for toddlers. I will say since they recently opened I haven't seen any membership rates or any specials (like 2-for-1 Tuesdays), so I'm curious about that in the future. It's just $11.50 (not including tax) on the weekdays ($13.50 weekends) for 12 months and up. So I want to clarify the accompanying free (baby) sibling per paid child admission "question". The website mistakenly says 12 months and under, but it's really under one, before their first birthday per their system. Hey, it matters for me b/c I have more than one child and I personally don't think my baby up until maybe 14-ish months can really appreciate this place, so since I have a grandparent babysitter I think I'll just focus on bringing the toddler. Some people stay for 3 hours. I think you'd want to stay for 1-1.5 hrs to get your money's worth especially if you're not around the corner. It def takes some planning. Very lastly I'm not sure if they do re-entry; I haven't asked. You obviously can't eat in there (keep it clean). The free snack per child as you're leaving is very nice. Also, keep in mind they don't allow strollers (for obvious reasons), so bring your best babywearing game, super diaper bag or whatever mom/parent unicorn magic with you. I do wish they either had a water fountain or some accessible bottled water for sale (do they?). If they really want my true 5 stars can we work on providing the parents with water pitchers (maybe even with mint inside or something bougie)? And if I really can keep dreaming is there a way to sneak in some coffee or Expresso shots/Cuban coffee? I get it, parents can't drink or eat because the little spawns will automatically want some, too and make a mess. BUT if we can somehow make it happen 6 stars!!! My kids are 2 and 4 years old. They loved it here. It is so cute. The owner designed the little town. They have a lot of Melissa and Doug toys. They kids love pretending. They have dressup clothes and food. A firehouse,vet and salon,etc they also have tables to draw and tables with puzzles. Call or go online to find out their schedule before going. Very disappointed with this place. I have tried taking my kids 4 times in the past 6 weeks, without luck. Most of the time, they are closed, yet online it says they are open. Today I called at 11AM to see if they were open, they told me at 3pm they would open. Showed up at that time, and they were hosting a "private play". Try explaining that to two small children. I was told by the very young girl up front, to "check Instagram for any updates." Very unprofessionally run, and poorly managed. Will not waste my time anymore. Word to the wise, if you plan on going, don't tell your kids until you are officially inside and playing. Clearly their rules change by the minute. read more

I've taken my granddaughter quite a few times in the last year. The concept is nice and she has fun most of the time. I do have to say that some of the toys need to be replaced because they are really worn out and dirty. The costumes are all ripped up and dirty. Love the idea and design- my kids absolutely love it here. I will say however there are a couple of annoyances, as with any business you spend more than a few minutes in (in our case we stay here many hours). 1. The parent seating area is very uncomfortable. For people like me that are with their kids 100% of the day- I do enjoy sitting and Letting them have independent play for a minute to catch my breath). How awesome would it be if there were massage chairs here. 2. The new snack policy makes absolutely zero sense- now, paying members (the consistent customer base) is denied a snack at the end of the play time. And the lady that works there has to break the news to disappointed children all day long apparently. Why even have the snacks displayed ? It just makes the kids upset because they ALL remember getting a snack last time. Those two things aside, I think this is a great place. read more

My kids enjoy going to Playtown, but it's always a logistical nightmare to secure a spot or simply confirm payment. Despite paying for my kids to attend an open play session via Venmo, my nanny and children were turned away and treated as if they had not paid. It should have been easy to check Venmo to confirm payment. Very frustrated and my kids are disappointed. I have requested a refund. read more

Not a fan Of the older lady working the door. She said she was not the owner but definitely should not be the face of a place for children. Why put someone to work with children who clearly does not like working with children? Pretty rude and Condescending to both adults and kids. I had never experienced that treatment there before. I watched her not only be sort of antagonizing and condescending to me and my daughter who is two by the way, but to an incoming client as well. She was just on the phone the whole time and not friendly by any means. When I asked her a question and when the incoming client asked her a question she responded defensively I even had to tell her that a two-year-old is not gonna understand what she is trying to say and she said oh well they cant come in then if they don't understand. I really could not believe she said that. I think you need better staffing or you're losing clients on the daily with this person running the business. Will not be returning. Nice place with bad management/owner. We celebrated our daughter's 3rd birthday here. First, they only give you or your provider 30 minutes to put up all decorations. Yes, 30 minutes. How is it possible for any person to put up a decent birthday decoration in 30 minutes?. Obviously, half job was finished during partytime. Then the kids "activity" was done by a girl with zero ability to control or engage them. She had a toy microphone and a speaker which could not be heard at all. It was so embarrassing for her to have such a lack of attention from the kids that it all ended with having them just jumping and doing whatever they want like crazy. When we mention this to the owner she said the place has too many attractions so it is very difficult for entertainers to have kids attention. We've been to a couple of birthdays recently were kids could have Disney around, but clearly they only cared about the person entertaining them because they know what they are doing. To make things worse, during partytime this lady who owns or runs the place had an attitude as she's doing us a favor or doesn't like to have people there. Just check some other reviews and you'll see we're not the only ones who experienced her weird attitude. I don't know if it is her personality or if she had a bad day, but it was really embarrassing to be questioned by some parents asking if this lady was angry or they were doing something inappropriate. At the end, we mentioned all these issues and all we got were excuses. Never an apology or something to make you give this place another chance. We do not recommend it. read more
