Pembroke ballet is not just a studio full of friends and dances it's a place where you feel at home. The ballet teacher Gypsy Hall is the most AMAZING person ever. She's not an ordinary teacher she's a teacher who you can count on for anything. I recently began a project for helping kids that live in an orphanage in Venezuela and guess who was the first one the to help me show it to everyone at the studio! Yup you guessed Mrs.gypsy She's not only an amazing teacher she such an amazing dancer too and of course her kindness towards others is amazing as well her care for her students and there family is huge. I'm not really sure what they are talking about since it's a recreational class and the kids just want to get in there and move? Also, most of the 15 kids in the class are WAY OLDER THAN 7! Maybe 5 of the children are in the 5-7 age group. What is the point of mixing 5-7 year olds with kids that are probably 12??? They definitely cannot keep up. In university at USF I took a semester of ballet and the teacher complimented my technique as being the best one in the class, all thanks to the wonderful education I received at academy of arts. Now in 2025 my 3 year old daughter is taking classes and is enjoying every class. My mother, daughter and I recently went to the Christmas show and we were so proud to experience the show. It was such a great show, still professional and beautiful. 13 years later and Academy of Arts is still producing wonderful dancers. The studio has small class sizes which is something I enjoy. The teacher provides adequate attention to the students, helps them with their form, and provides individual feedback. The shows are well produced and pleasant to watch. Something to note is the rehearsals for the recitals are additional so the student receives additional dance practices and it does not take away from their regular class practice. It's so nice to watch your child perform choreographed dance at the end of the year. The lobby has enough seats and space for the parents to sit and wait for the kids. There is a large 2 sections dressing room as well for the girls to safely change.
