I always ordered my boots a year in advance (so I could change over to them without running out to order a new pair), then I wear them a week to make sure there are no problems and put them back in the box. Shortly after that woman took over I started using my newest pair ($120) and the sole came unglued near the toe. The welt was no longer sewn(they were made in China) just glued. I took them in and she looked up the purchase, and said they were over a year old (even though there was no wear to the soles) and refused to have them repaired. I took them to a local shop and got it re-glued for $8.00 and never had a problem with them since. I promised myself I'd never buy another pair of boots from them again at that store.

When I moved out of the area, I had a different shop, one more local to me in a different state, do work for me. It was such poor work I could not wear my favorite pair of dress shoes. When it came time to resole my most expensive & favorite pair of Lucchese cowboy boots I went to the trouble of mailing them, and that ruined pair of dress shoes, to Goldena's all the way from Iowa because I know they will do my boot right and if anyone can fix the other shops mistakes on the dress shoes it will be them.
