The main store is the Walmart where you can get all of your grocery, clothing and pharmaceutical needs at less than half the price of the stores at the marina. The souvenir stores there all try to charge $20 or more for sandals. You can find sandals at the Walmart for $5. If you do not have a car, you can take a taxi or Uber here for less than $10 each way. There is a decent food court here too. You will find many local people shopping here because these are the prices you should be paying.

Like a lot of dying malls in the US. But this one wasn't so big so, the impact wasn't so great. But it was a cute spot with an ice cream joint, a coffee space and some restaurants. There were lots of ads for the open spaces to be leased, which was odd. But it was cute enough, but not a place to hang out and peruse. No clothing stores and no major grocery store or corner store, but for a meal it was fine. I'd like to try some other places upon my next visit.

Also bought some gourmet coffee, Perrier water, mixed nuts. Prices are typical Cabo level. Lower than USA on Mexican domestic items, but way higher on imported goods. If you want to buy clothes, refrigerators, patio furniture you're in luck as well. Free covered parking lot on the property. Taxi stand in front of the main entrance. Taxi fare from Medano beach is $12. Though the zona hotelera route city bus will get you here eventually for 10 pesos. If you rent a timeshare condo and do most of your own cooking at home this is probably the best place to buy all of your supplies.

This is the spot we consistently trucked off to in order to escape the egregious prices in the Golden Zone and stock up on supplies for our time-share rental shelves. There's a supermercado, pharmacia, and even a turista information booth, if you're in to that thing. Mostly we came here for the Supermercado, which is decently well stocked. Ample parking abounds, and it's way more convenient to the Golden Zone on foot than, say, WalMart.

They use goats to clean up the grass and there is goat mess all on the sidewalk. ! Of course that's because all of the American tourists were crammed into the bar on the corner getting plastered in the middle of the day. But they have shirts, belts, coats, dishes and other throngs. They are perfect for tourists wanting keepsakes. They had a great barbershop and my husband got a haircut. It was great! The barbers in there were very nice and talented. My hubby said it was the best haircut he's ever received. They also have a tattoo shop. And after a trip to the bar and getting plastered, I may have the courage to get one. Who knows. I'll be back though.

This location, which anchors The Plaza Cabo San Lucas, is your standard Walmart from the outside, but inside it is a different world that I was not expecting! The store is well laid out, clean, stocked, features all the specialty counters we need plus cafes with seating on both ends of the store...and they even had a gelato spot up front! I know this is a fairly new location, so it being in good condition was expected, but they do a great job at keeping this location up cleanliness and condition wise. Service was solid. When we needed help on the floor, someone was able to assist. Cashier was friendly and helpful...even given the slight language barrier. Overall, I was impressed with this Walmart...and that it the first time I've ever said that, so you know it was for good reason!

For my shopping trip, I was just going to get bottled water, a couple bottles of Mexican wine to…read moretry, and fruit. In addition to those items, I purchased the fresh coconuts that had a drinking straw and cocktail pick to poke a hole for the straw, and bags of dried cherries because the stores in CA do not carry them as of late. Before wine shopping, I had a list of wines to look for and was thrilled to find two. Because I had never tried a Nebbiolo, I chose an L.A. Cetto Nebbiolo for US$28 and a Monte Xanic (pronouned shaw-neek) Gran Ricardo 2022 for a little over US$100 which is slightly more than US prices. While my wine friend tasted notes of leather and tobacco, I just thought the Nebbiolo tasted DRY, but we both enjoyed drinking it. On the other hand, the Monte Xanic Gran Ricardo was full of fruit and tannins that everyone favored. As Yelper Dustin E mentioned, getting gasoline for the rental car is TOTALLY different than the U.S. Instead of using the pump to transact with your Costco card, you have to use a separate card reader. After trying numerous combinations to pay for gas, you have to scan/swipe/insert your membership card, estimate how many liters you need on a car you're unfamiliar with but you need to return it to the rental car company with the gas tank full (figure 4 liters to the gallon) then you scan/swipe/insert a different credit card to pay for the amount of gas you think you need. I do not know what happens if you over buy. Keep in mind, this is all done in Spanish. In retrospect, I should have spoken to an employee inside the store to help me understand how to use the car reader and show me. Otherwise, all Americans will be taking an inordinate amount of time figuring out how to pay for their gas. Pumping gas is straight forward once you figure out the payment part. For my car, my rental company requested premium gas. As far as accessibility to Costco, if you're coming from the north, it's easier to access the Costco using the main road and then exit to the frontage road. If you're coming from the south or the marina, you have to pass Costco and then exit to a frontage road and take the Retorno (a big U-turn bridge that crosses the main highway). If you don't need gas or mega packages of food, shop at the Soríana right next door.

As an American getting gasoline for our car was a bit confusing because it's completely different. You have to guess how many liters vehicle will hold and then pre-pay for that amount. I guessed wrong and hopefully the difference will be refunded. It hasn't yet in a few days. We had to wait 20 minutes for more chicken to come out, but that's not unusual. They were an absolutely no hurry too, package it up and put out the bags. Very methodical and slow. The selection here was great! It's a Costco! I've been visiting Cabo since 2007 and 2025 is my first trip to Costco, or any Costco outside of the US. It was a cool experience just for that. But just being me and my wife this trip, most of the items offered were too big of quantity for us to use in two weeks. But if you lived here or at a giant group of people, it's just outstanding.
