Luckily for us, the hospital took me in so I wouldn't have to come back up here to do this before my surgery date! The hospital has Free valet service! A good concereige staff. And wonderful people to check you in, (Julie B.), and fun, friendly, helpful people in the lab! (Cinda, and (?) I forgot your name; but I loved your haircut ). I'm praying the surgery personnel, nurses, and other staff are just as great. I bet they are! The hospital is beautiful and peaceful! Love the restful feeling one gets stepping inside the front door! Can't wait to see my room! A private suite where Billy will be staying with me! Awesome! "Lord, I pray the insurance covers it all, and I am praying for great surgical results from all in the OR. Amen." Need a peaceful but expensive getaway? Get sick and stay here! LOL! KIDDING!!! So far my review is 5's. I bet it's 10 by the time I leave!

The ladies at the check-in desk were courteous. There was a slight hiccup with the billing, and it was handled well. They forwarded the issue to the registration department, and we worked it out from there. My registration clerk did a great job. She was fully versed in what she was presenting, and she was able to clearly explain/answer the questions I had. She was efficient and left nothing unanswered. From there, I joined the nurse for the actual pre-op. I'm horrible with getting names, but my nurse was great. Again, everything was fully explained, and she addressed every question asked. Bravo to both of these ladies who assisted me; it was a great visit, and they fully prepared me for what's to come. My only note: Grade F The registration office is a bit too open, and the patient information can be heard in other rooms. They have sliding doors to close off the waiting area, but they do not have doors on the other side. Because there's no way to fully close off the rooms, they are violating HIPAA due to everything being heard in other rooms. I heard the clerk asking for the full name, DOB, verifying insurance, etc. That is not acceptable. Parking: I was in the Justin Tower; they do have valet, but I'd be leery of using it. There was so much going on around the cars, I wouldn't feel comfortable adding my car to the mix. There's plenty of parking around that tower; parking elsewhere would be a short, but brief walk.

UPDATE -- September 2026:…read more It has now been several months since my ER visit, and unfortunately the situation has only become more concerning. I went to this ER because I was experiencing severe abdominal pain and had a palpable mass. I was discharged while still in pain, without my CT findings being explained to me. The CT showed a ventral hernia -- the very type of problem I was experiencing when I came to the ER -- yet this was never discussed with me before I was sent home. Since then, I have repeatedly attempted to address what happened directly with this hospital. I have asked for help and answers multiple times, and I have received no meaningful response whatsoever. I ultimately filed a complaint with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission regarding my care. HHSC has now notified me that an onsite survey/investigation will be conducted in response to my complaint. So to be clear: this is no longer simply my personal opinion about a bad ER experience. I raised concerns through the appropriate channels, preserved my documentation, and the state has determined that the complaint warrants an onsite investigation. And despite all of that, this hospital still has not meaningfully responded to me. I continue to deal with the consequences of leaving the ER without adequate answers or a clear understanding of what was found. I only wanted someone at this hospital to take my concerns seriously and explain what happened. Instead, I have had to fight for answers while still trying to obtain appropriate medical care. Patients should not have to beg a hospital to respond when they are telling you they were discharged in pain with an important finding that was never explained to them. This update is based on months of trying to resolve the situation, extensive documentation, and now state involvement. I stand by my original review. If anything, I now have even more reason to question the care I received and the complete lack of follow-up from this hospital.

These Doctors are absolutely idiots and couldnt care less about patients. The Doctors do not properly communicate with the nurses and the nurses are left trying to answer questions they don't have answers too. I was there for 2 days with heart issues. My blood pressure spikes to over 221-106 and the doctors ran absolutely 0 test on me. They kept saying it was being scheduled but after 2 days I finally left the hospital. I've tried contacting the head Chief Medical Doctor Robert De le Cruz to complain about these doctors but I was told he wasn't available at every turn. All of these doctors are Indians and some you can barely understand. Their level of concern was appalling. It felt like a 3rd world hospital. Be warned never trust this hospital!! I've since found there is a whole Facebook page about how bad this Medical City of Ftw is from former employees that have worked there. It's states that they are purely about achieving profit for their shareholders then they are caring for patients and employees. Just google Medical City of Ftw reviews/ complaints. It's Astonishing that they are still allowed to operate. I'm not done with is I'm escalating this Texas Health and Human Services. The ER staff came across as extremely unprofessional and showed absolutely no sense of urgency or concern for patients who were waiting for help. Be prepared to spend 4+ hours in the ER just trying to get seen. There were no rooms available, and patients were left waiting with very little communication or assistance. What made the experience even worse was having to be seen and evaluated by a doctor in the waiting room rather than being taken into an actual room. When you go to an emergency room, you expect urgency, professionalism, communication, and basic patient care. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. It felt like there was no sense of urgency and no real concern for how long patients were left waiting or what they were going through. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone looking for timely, compassionate emergency care. One star is honestly more than I feel this experience deserved.

Got into rats nest (not knowing what it was) I did not put mask on and breathed this for several hours. I have several medical conditions: COPD emphysema, diabetes, polycythemia vera, high b/p, hemochromatosis, high cholesterol, and a few more. When a friend came by and told me about the Hantavirus, it scared me. I phoned primary doctor, was told to get to ER since I have lung diseases and it's critical for me to be tested asap. Went to BSW emergency hospital explained to them why I needed this test done. A blood test was done and CT scan of chest (I had a bra on with underwire, informed tech but was not ask to remove bra). That will interfere with scan. I ask RN again about Hantavirus test. Was told they can not do it at this facility, I needed to go to bigger hospital. Ok then I needed to go. But I sat there waiting. At least 3 1/2 hrs have gone by. Why am I still here wasting my time and ask to leave. Once they released me, they told me to pickup prescription from CVS 24 hour service. Which I did, ask Pharmacist what the medication was for and he stated my lungs. Then looking at my release papers, they had diagnosed me with COPD and hemochromatosis. WHAT !!! I'm the one that told them that I had these two diseases and had a lung doctor. I didn't go to the hospital for that reason but they diagnose me with that, but I already knew that. I phoned and questioned this and got the run around. Wow, what a waste of time !! They don't allow photos or recordings so I apologize for the few photos I could take. I'm sure everyone has their own opinions about this emergency hospital, but I'm just very disappointed in how I was treated. They must not truly have listened to me. I have their names but I say lesson learned... don't go back !!

All these people can't be saying the same thing and you guys are not handling it. What are you going to do about these common issues??? We deserve care with integrity, humility, and compassion. Where is that faith-based care we deserve? I went to Hugley, turns out I had a collapsed lung.
