This is a mall that probably thrived in the 90s or 2000s however it now is very outdated and feels almost so empty that it's abandoned. However there is still a decent amount of stores.

This the "lobby" when you first walk in.

Plaza del Sol also known as the Osceola Square Mall or as I like to call it, The Flea Market's Long Lost Brother. Walking into this place you're so confused and so lost because you don't understand what this place is supposed to be. Immediately, to your right hand side there is an arcade with bounce houses and karate classes. Walking in to the main "lobby" I must admit I was surprised by the décor. It really does look like a small Latin village and it's super cute (pretty much the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars). But then as you start walking in through the halls, you see that the stores are nothing more than like flea market type stores. There's your $1+ store, your pet store, your lingerie store, your "loss weight fast" store, your China stuff store, well you get the idea. Then there's this huge technical college in the middle of the plaza! What is this place?! So the whole area is surrounded by college students in scrubs... Anyway, there's a food court a couple of more of those eh stores and that's it. There's only like 3 big stores there that I think is the only reason people go to this place, aside from the college that is, but other than that there is no reason to go here. Nothing great or exciting or good to see here.

Wonderful shopping and entertainment district. So much to do and see here. There's actually decent…read morerestaurants here though they are more expensive but the food for the most part is good. So many ways to entertain yourself and it really does have a Disney vibe here. Great place to get Disney merchandise without going into the parks or just walk around.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Disney Springs, formerly Downtown Disney, has fallen out…read moreof favor with me a little bit. Maybe it's because I'm older now, but I find the whole experience much more exhausting than I remember. It's incredibly hot, and it feels like everything has been engineered around getting you to spend money. Want to sit down somewhere? It seems like you need to be eating, drinking, shopping, or otherwise spending money to have access to a comfortable place to sit. Sometimes I just want to sit for a few minutes, enjoy the scenery, people-watch, and take a break without having to buy something. I don't care what age you are. Sometimes you just need somewhere to sit. The food was decent, but honestly, I can find good food in plenty of other places without having to navigate the whole parking situation, walk through security, and then spend money every time I turn around. The constant retail focus and pressure to spend money just doesn't create a particularly relaxed environment for me anymore. What's funny is that I remember coming here when I was 27 and being completely blown away by it. Back then, I thought Downtown Disney was incredible. I even spent a few nights going to the clubs, and those nights were absolutely epic and fun. I have some great memories from that time. But today, the experience feels different to me. Everything seems so carefully designed to extract another dollar from you that it starts to feel almost mercenary. There's nothing wrong with a business wanting to make money, but when the commercial aspect becomes so noticeable that it affects your ability to simply relax and enjoy being there, it changes the experience. I think I've reached a point where I'd rather spend my time somewhere with a lower-stress atmosphere. I want to go somewhere, walk around, enjoy the scenery, sit down when I feel like it, and have a good time without constantly feeling like every basic comfort comes with a price tag. Maybe it's me getting older. Maybe it's Disney Springs changing. Maybe it's both. But these days, I'd rather spend my money somewhere that makes me feel like a guest instead of a walking wallet.
