Oh so the old fashioned Christmas carolers don't have to wear masks? I think you should make them wear them - a sign of the times.

Five star mall that looks like old New England college campus. Lovely selection of stores, a great Mexican style restaurant and a theatre. And it's in a quaint part of St. Louis. Only problem is I'm not buying anything if I'm forced to wear a mask. It's a sad reality that may impact luxury retailers at some point especially because the items aren't essential - they are luxury and I certainly don't feel luxurious being forced to be masked. So my discretionary spending dollars are remaining in my wallet.

Plaza Frontenac is a two-level, upscale, enclosed regional shopping center in the Frontenac area of metropolitan St. Louis, off Highway 64 and South Lindbergh Blvd. It is a short drive from downtown St. Louis. There is a grand piano in the Center Court; the plaza offers live music on Fridays. They also offer free Wi-Fi. The plaza has a large open parking area, and an underground parking garage. High-end furnishings are spaced throughout the plaza to relax/rest, and then 'shop till you drop' again. There are a number of offerings for shopping, dining, spa/health/beauty and more. Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus anchor the plaza. The plaza has high-end tenants such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Gucci, David Yurman, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams (think Architectural Digest magazine), Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Kate Spade New York, Tumi, Coach, and many others. On the second level, there is a movie theater with six screens that feature independent & limited-release films. There is a Cinema Bar offering beer (focusing on local craft beers) and wine along with a full bar. Inside the plaza on the first level, one has the opportunity to closely view the latest in fine personal transportation. On our visit, the selections included an Aston Martin Vantage, and a Porsche Cayenne.

One of Saint Louis' best most luxurious retail shopping experience. Very high end retail shops with a posh attitude.

Are dogs allowed in the mall to take santa pictures? We have two very small dogs and we were wondering if we could take them with us to get pictures with the rest of the family!

It depends on the store, but most seem to welcome them if they are not a nuisance. For instance, dogs are definitely allowed in Neiman Marcus if they're leashed or you can carry them in. The mall is kind to owners of small dogs such as toy breeds… Read more

Now when I stroll the mall, I'm lucky if I see a familiar branded store. I basically only come for two stores now. I shop the Apple Store, which I am surprised is still located in the mall. I would have expected them to depart to a strip center somewhere else in the metro area. The other store I frequent is Tommy Bahama, but I don't shop there as often as I use, too. I can now just go on line and have it shipped to my home. My most recent visit, I could see the wear and tear of the Galleria and a desperate need for repairs and maintenance. As long as Apple remains a tenant, I'll keep coming back.

We stopped in last night only to pick up an online order, and that was the sole reason for our visit. This mall used to be the place to shop in St. Louis, great department stores, solid dining options, and an overall upscale feel. That's definitely not the case anymore. It's gone downhill significantly. Many of the good department stores that used to be here are no longer in business or have moved elsewhere and tons of new spots have aken over some of the spaces, but I am not very familiar with many of the new stores. The visit itself felt uncomfortable. There were police officers and security guards throughout the mall, and a lot of people just hanging around who didn't seem to be shopping. The space felt louder, messier, and not very inviting. On top of that, the mall now closes at 7 PM on a Saturday, which is pretty shocking for a mall this size. I assume it's for safety reasons, especially since there are signs posted stating that all minors must be accompanied by an adult. It's disappointing to see how far this place has declined. The shoppers who once gave the Galleria its appeal have clearly moved on elsewhere.

Every time I'm here, it reminds me why this stretch has such a loyal following, because it's one of those places where you can land with no plan at all and still end up having a great time by just letting the street carry you along. The food scene here is the big draw, with a mix of global options that all seem to go together. From shawarma to ramen to tacos and yes, diner comfort food without breaking stride. The storefronts flip from quirky to arty and classic that keeps the walk interesting. Mini golf and bowling, too! Two unique things that make the Loop uniquely the Loop are the Planet Walk and the Saint Louis Walk of Fame. The Planet Walk is a scale model of the Solar System that stretches a half mile or so along Delmar mapping out the distances between the planets. And alongside this, the Walk of Fame runs along with stars honoring famous Saint Louisians (Saint Louisans?) set into the sidewalk. It's fun to spot names you know and names that are new to you. Chuck Berry. Maya Angelou. Tennessee Williams. Nelly. The Loop is named for the Loop Trolley. It launched in 2018, hit some operational and funding issues, and ended service in 2023. I'm bummed that I missed the opportunity to ride it. Maybe it returns one day? But even without the Trolley, the Loop is one long ribbon of activity. Accessible, diverse and consistently entertaining. It delivers exactly what you want from a neighborhood. [Review 440 of 2026 - 509 in Missouri - 25623 overall]

This place isn't an authorized retailer which may affect your warranty. In addition, buying returned items opens them up to scammers. I stopped in here while the wife was shopping in front of the plaza. Was really excited since we were about to move and this place has just about everything at super cheap prices. They have clothes, shoes, kitchen stuff, rugs, couches and so much more. My wife and I ended up spending over $600 on an instant pot, Dyson V11, bathroom towels, electric kettle, and pots/pans. After 4 months, only the towels, pots/pans, and electric kettle are still with us and working. As soon as we got home with the Dyson V11, we quickly realized that someone had previously bought a V11, replaced it with a v10 (the previous year's model) and returned it in an effort to scam the clubstore out of money/a newer model. Not only was it the wrong model, but it was heavily used and had used nail clippers in the box. Thankfully the store has a 30 day no questions asked return policy, but the worker tried arguing with me that it was the V11 when it clearly was not, which was super frustrating. Now after just 4 months, the instant pot stopped working for zero reason, and the instant pot company won't replace it under warranty because the clubstore outlet isn't an authorized retailer. All in all, I think the clubstore outlet provides great value for non electronic items, like towels soap, shoes, etc, but I'd never by any high value item here again.

The stock in the men's department was disappointing, now I know why - they weren't paying suppliers and many vendors had stopped sending them clothes. I was working with my associate, Lori; however, I was inquiring about a product that was more in the scope of Tracy. Lori attempted to engage Tracy's knowledge and not only did Tracy disrespect Lori, she disregarded me as a customer of Saks. I wanted a particular Kilian fragrance and Tracy did confirm that the one I wanted had been discontinued to Lori. I then addressed Tracy inquiring if there was one similar to my original inquiry. Tracy said yes and proceeded to walk in the direction of the Kilian counter. She then abruptly turned around and said "you all can go over there and find it." To be clear, she was not working with anyone at that time, so we were not keeping her from another customer and after saying her last comment, she went right back to looking on her phone. She was totally dismissive to me and had it not been for Lori standing there, I would have let Tracy know in that moment how ridiculous behavior was. As a long time customer of Saks, I know that your associates are not trained to behave in such a manner. Makes me wonder if I was Caucasian if she would have reacted differently. There are far too many options of where I can spend my money that sell the same items, if this behavior is acceptable then maybe I need to go elsewhere. This interaction reduced my rating; however, please know my associate Lori is a 5 star and beyond.
