I just love Plaza La Fiesta! It's a trip back in time to what souvenir shopping in Cancun was in the 1990's. This place is HUGE and has literally everything. If you are thirsty, they have bottled water. They have tequila samplings, though not all the time. I was there when they had a sampling with a scorpion in the bottle (ummm ... no). They have some small snacks near the cash register. The place has TONS of Corona beer clothing and souvenirs. They probably have a few hundred different Cancun t-shirts. They have caps. They have Sombreros for $17! They have beach covers. They have dresses to include white cotton "confirmation" ones. They have lots of ceramics and hot sauce bundles and vanilla in various sizes. They have souvenir magnets. Pretty much if you can imagine it as a souvenir, they have it. And, prices are much more reasonable than at other shops. Who has $10 t-shirts at La Isla? They do! Additionally, they have 2 benches in front of the store with 2 figurines that are good photo spots! read more

Plaza La Fiesta is a souvenir shop located in La Isla, where they have a large array of clothing wear, accessories, locally-handmade jewelry, hats, home decor items, key chains, magnets, and other memorabilia/souvenir items. Just note that each item is labeled with a colored letter; price charts are located throughout the store which tells you the pricing for each of the letters. Great service. Came here for some souvenirs staff was very helpful. Took the time to show and explain all the questions I had about all the items I purchased. Reasonably priced some items even had a discount. A good verity and huge selection to choose from to bring back home found something for everyone at this location. Oof, I've got a lot of reviews to catch up on! Let's see, what to say about La Plaza... So you're here in Cancun and you've promised your entire family that you'll bring back something fun/exotic; something that you can't get anywhere else. You're staying on the hotel strip and wander towards La Isla shopping center and you stumble upon La plaza la fiesta. Wow, you'll say as you walk through aisle upon aisle of random souvenirs clearly aimed at the American tourist. You got everything from colorful ceramics to clothes that say CANCUN WOOOOO and cheap mugs with sex positions on them. Please skip that and go to the back of the store. While I certainly will argue that the best souvenirs are likely not to be found in this commercial establishment, I thought that one of the most thoughtful useful gifts will be the vanilla in the back. Bottles upon bottles of vanilla flavoring that is truly unlike anything you can get here in the US (unless you make your own from your own vanilla bean farm). I use it in everything from ice creams to baked goods and it's marvelous. 4 stars for the convenience of finding random knickknacks for friends and family at home. A one stop shop for everything stereotypically "Mexico." But if you can sort through the fluff at the front of the store, you'll find some cool things that you can bring back that are actually good little trinkets. read more
