Despite the priority line, I'm accustomed to waiting for at least one hour in order to be seen by a customer service representative. I canceled my postpaid mobile plan, because the price kept getting higher. Even though I went from postpaid to pre-paid, I was still billed for a postpaid account. Unfortunately, I could not dispute the charge with my bank, I was told that I needed to speak to Globe. What? I already canceled my postpaid plan. Why do I need to talk to Globe again? Now I understand all the 1 and 2 star reviews! I am being double billed? I was told that I would receive a final bill, instead I received a thank for my payment email. In other words, they'll continue billing me? I paid for my pre-paid service, and I also paid for a postpaid account with the same telephone number. After speaking to a Globe representative today, I was told that I will no longer be billed for a postpaid account. I guess I'll just have to wait and see next month.

I've heard mixed reviews about BayanDSL. Some are like me who are satisfied, but some are very dissatisfied and always complain about how extremely slow their connection always is. I think it depends on the area. In my area, most of my neighbors use PLDT and maybe that's why my network isn't very congested. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their service. They're not perfect. There were times when the system was down, but compared to a lot of my friends, I can't complain. I always got the speed that I wanted and it was never slower than promised. Whenever I had to get the modem replaced, they'd arrive rather promptly - more or less on the same day they said they would - which is admittedly rare in the Philippines. Customer service on the phone is also excellent. The people who answer the phone are knowledgeable and helpful. I always get the problem solved.

Sun is the cheapest of the big 3, by faaaaar. Calling and texting with Sun phones is insanely…read morecheap, even across different networks. For barely anything, you can already get a plan with unlimited Sun calls and all network texts. That's why I think that most people regard Sun as the perfect "family plan" network - I know lots of families (particularly Chinoy familiies) that have family-wide network plans because it's the most affordable way to communicate with each other. Even Sun prepaid has extremely cheap promos, most of which average around 10 pesos cheaper than their counterparts from other networks. The only thing for me that's a downside when it comes to Sun is that the signals are a little weaker. Normally, when you go down a basement or it's raining, Sun phones are, from experience, the first ones to lose signals. Sun also has pretty bad 3G and mobile data services - their connections are generally pretty slow so it's not that worth it to get a data plan from them. However, if your main phone use is calling and texting, especially to other Sun people, it's perfect.

So far, they have 1. replaced our modem. didn't work 2. said it was because the ethernet hub I use was unbalanced so they swapped the cords around. didn't work. 3. Then they said it was BECAUSE I was using an ethernet hub. plugged everything into the modem. still didn't work 4. said it was because we were using the internet too much and it was "getting tired". Not the words they used, but that's the guys of it. 5. said it was because wife was using a VPN (I am not. and i have problems too) 6. each tech they sent over came with a new modem, completely oblivious that a tech with a new modem had already been sent and it didn't fix the problem. 7. said it was because we weren't using cat 6 ethernet cables. So I went and bought some. Didn't fix the problem. so with all this, and the agents either hanging up on my wife or just having an overall sh!tty attitude because how DARE we want our problem to be fixed and the constant blaming our hardware for the problem...We never had this problem with Sky Cable or Converge. Same computers. I spent 2 hours last night with an IT/networking tech with about 37 years pinging and tracerouting all the IPs listed. The problem is on their end. They probably STILL won't admit it or do anything to fix it even with the data I have showing that they are losing packets galore. For IPs within the country (pinged and tracerted an IP in Quezon city. lost a RIDICULOUS amount of the packets). We've been trying to get them to fix this for around 2 months. yeah no. I DO NOT recommend PLDT. You'd be better off with a hamster and a treadmill powering your internet.
