Having previously experienced the luxuries of living in a beautiful house in Mansfield, I was…read moreapprehensive about what to expect in the transition back to apartment life. Well, I must say, I didn't expect this! Portofino Apartments has been a delightful experience starting from the afternoon I walked into the leasing office and ultimately concluding on the evening I received my keys. This is due largely in part to the "AMAZING" Leasing Consultant Jessica Rodriguez. As this complex is in high demand, there were no units available at the time that I first walked in. Jessica instantly went to work checking on upcoming availability, took me on a tour of the complex, showed me a unit that was soon to be occupied, and took my information with a promise to stay in touch. She did; by calling, emailing and consistently greeting me with a beautiful, welcoming smile every time I dropped by to check on my status. She was always appropriately professional, while remaining remarkably personable. I believe we're actually friends now! Lily Salas, the manager, while always on site diligently working, still took time to speak to me on many occasions. Leasing consultant Brittany Cox was also extremely cordial and pleasantly assisted in my move-in walk through. Leasing consultant Grace always had a smile and was instrumental in assisting me with a request after move-in. After my move-in, I was able to casually converse with Maintenance Lead Jose Gomez, who while expeditiously upgrading my accommodations, assured me that he was only a phone call away. That's always good to know! Lastly, in mentioning the exceptional employees of Portofino Apartments, I must mention Regional Manager Pam Parker. Although she oversees several units, she still "managed" to make a personal call to me as I wanted to praise her employees' exemplary service. All that being, regardless of whether you are moving from an apartment or a house, if you have the experience that I have had, I believe you will call Portofino Apartments, "HOME"!

I do not recommend this facility for anyone's love ones. My parents are currently a resident and…read morethe resident voice continuously are ignored regarding their living conditions. Multiple complaints have been submitted by numerous of residents as far up as to the owners and complaints continue to be ignored. The owners discloses every complaint by name to the onsite manager (Maribel) who then retaliate very negatively toward the resident for complaining. They do not allow residents to come out of rooms and sit in lobby anymore as the facility has allowed in the past. Maribel is very unprofessional. She speaks to the resident has if she is ready to brawl or fight at anytime. She careless of your concerns or what you have to say regarding the facility issues. A resident committed suicide on the property after speaking to Maribel regarding his rent. It just seems if the residents have complaints of how things are; someone should be willing to listen and act. Currently another resident was found deceased in their apartment. Upto this point multiple residents were complaining of an awful odor on their floor. Maybe if management would not have ignored the complaints the odor would not have spread through out the whole building. Now it's been a week later since the body was found and the building still reap of the bad odor. When my parents first moved in years ago (under different ownership and management). This was truly a wonderful place for them to call home. Now they feel they are living in total hell. Every week there's issues or some extreme measures Maribel has taken to cause discomfort for the residents. The facility manager need to realize this is a living facility. The most entertainment most of the residents will experience on a daily bases is mingling with each other and coming out of their apartments and enjoying the amenities on site. If things get better I will not mind coming back with a better rating, but right now new management is in order.

Everything stated in my review is based on my personal experience throughout the application process and is presented as my account of what occurred. I stand by the facts and my opinions regarding the customer service I received. I submitted an application and was told I would have an answer by Friday. When I attempted to call for an update, my calls went to voicemail, and my emails were not answered. I had to repeatedly come to the property in person simply to receive information regarding an application I had paid for. On Saturday, I was told that my application had been completed and was only waiting for approval and that I would receive a call Monday. After I had to visit the property to get an update. Monday came, and I received no call. I emailed again and received no response, which resulted in me returning to the property once again. When I returned, I was given information that contradicted what I had previously been told and was informed that the process could take up to two weeks. My concern was not simply that the application was taking time. My concern was the repeated lack of communication and the conflicting information I received. I also want to address the claim that my statement is false. If there is footage that supposedly proves my account is inaccurate, I am requesting that the complete, unedited footage relevant to the interaction be provided to me, rather than an incomplete portion or footage presented without the surrounding context. I would also like the full context of the interaction concerning the papers containing my personal information. I did not intend to create a threatening situation, and I strongly disagree with any characterization suggesting that I was behaving as though I intended to lunge across the desk. My concern was obtaining information and addressing what I believed was poor communication regarding my application. Most importantly, I was extremely disappointed by how I was treated. Rather than my concerns being addressed professionally, I felt dismissed and unfairly characterized, including being referred to as an "angry Black woman." I found that characterization deeply inappropriate and unrelated to the legitimate concerns I was attempting to address. I was ultimately asked to withdraw my application and have my money refunded. When I asked for the owner's information, I was told it could not be provided. I was then asked to leave before I had received my refund, and the police were called. I am not claiming that everyone will have the same experience I did. I am sharing my experience. I believe businesses should be willing to acknowledge shortcomings when communication and customer service fall below reasonable expectations. Having an application for four days without receiving promised updates, having calls go unanswered, having emails ignored, and having to repeatedly travel to the property to obtain basic information is not the level of communication anyone expects from a business. To me, basic communication is simply common courtesy. My review was not intended to misrepresent the property. It was intended to honestly describe my experience. If the property believes otherwise, I welcome the opportunity to review the complete context and footage of the interactions rather than having my experience dismissed as false. I stand by my review and my right to share my experience as a customer
