Maybe due to cut or brand, so I just went with it. Tried the jacket on and took a look in the mirror - pretty good fit and quality. When the salesman asked if I'd try on the pants, however, I let him know I was more curious about the jacket fit and was just looking for the moment. Never saw him again - he straight abandoned, disappeared and never returned for the jacket or to help look for other styles. I suspect he didn't expect a sale and utterly left without a word. Rude and snooty aren't descriptions I'd normally use in a nice place like Plymouth but the treatment stank of elitism. Great quality and products, not impressed with some of the staff so far.

While…read morethey said they didn't have the specific shoe I was looking for, they said they had a variety of shoes in size 12 so my folks and I made the haul up there (it was my birthday and they were in town from a few states away...they wanted to buy me something and I needed a few replacement pairs of shoes). There were several sales people on the floor helping other people. I went to the sale rack first and then asked an older lady if they had Vionics in size 12. She said no. When I had called they had implied that they had other Vionic styles in twelves so i thought that was weird. I grabbed the loafer I wanted and waited for another rep thinking she just misunderstood me. The next woman was more helpful, but the situation still wasn't ideal. I tried on a pair of Danskos that were an EU 42 but that is really just an 11.5. (Eyes Dansko from across an ocean...) If we're being honest here, I think there were no actual size twelves in the store, they didn't want to look, or they didn't know how to look. I asked her what she had in the store that came in a 12, but she wanted me to go around the store and point to individual shoe styles and say "How about this one? How about this one? How about this one?" Listen...I'm 42 years old. I know that 99% of the time the answer is going to be "no...we don't have that in a 12." I have 30 years of shoe buying trauma built up, I don't need that in my life on my birthday. So when I ask what styles you have in a size 12? I know there are probably going to be like six of them tops. And if there are more that is AMAZING but SAY so, have it written down somewhere. Take me to the computer and let's look up your inventory by SIZE so you can show me what you have in stock TODAY. (((It's why I'm here and not on zappos.))) Don't waste my time and make me feel like I don't belong. Especially when you brag about having extended sizes. And telling me you can order those Vionics? Not helpful. Because I can do that too. Decent quality, decent prices. I brought in a long sequin evening gown to get shortened and they…read moredid a decent job. They suggested pads to get sewn into the breast area since there was some loose fabric. After the pads were sewn in I still noticed the loose fabric due to the placement of the pads. I could have probably asked if they could re-do it but I didn't say anything since I needed the dress the same week and live really far away. Having the pads sewn in is way more comfortable than wearing a bra though. I was greeted quickly during my initial visit but when I went to pick up my dress there was a sign on the door that said, "be back in 15 minutes" so I had to wait. My suggestion is to have multiple staff working so that customers do not need to wait in a creepy strip mall. As of Jan. 2023, the tailor shop is in what appears to be an abandoned strip mall since there is only a barber shop next to it. There is currently no signage of the tailor shop name on the outside of the strip mall but you'll see a sign for the shop when you enter the mall. This is located next to Grand Slam. Overall this place is decent if you need work done.

It turns out, I was just next door at another strip mall a block away. Marta's Tailor Shop really needs at least one sign outside the mostly totally abandoned indoor shopping mall. The only outside sign remaining seems to be the barber shop next door to Marta's. That said, I dropped off the pants to a newly-purchased pair of men's pajamas on a Friday and was promised it would be ready the following Friday. On the coldest Minnesota day of the winter, the following Friday, I called to make sure Marta's was even open. It was and the pants were ready for pick-up. Long story short, or, in this case long pants made shorter, got 'em home, tried 'em on, perfect fit! Factory quality workmanship. I highly recommend Marta's Tailor Shop!
