Titan Gym is honestly one of the best gyms I've been to in years. While it's a smaller facility, it…read moretruly has everything you need to reach your personal fitness goals--whether that's general strength training, bodybuilding, powerlifting, or simply shedding a few pounds. There's plenty of equipment to go around, and even during peak hours you rarely have to wait more than a couple of minutes to use a machine, bench, or squat rack. The gym is also exceptionally clean; it's clear the owners take pride in the space, because you'll barely find a speck of dirt or even a smudge on the mirrors. The owners, Norm and Joanna, are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They're also very knowledgeable trainers who offer personalized training sessions tailored to your individual goals. What Titan Gym may lack in size, it more than makes up for with its sense of community. The members are incredibly welcoming and diverse--ranging from college students and young professionals to parents and older adults staying active in their later years. It's a place that supports both casual gym-goers and serious lifters alike (including a member who recently placed first in a state powerlifting competition). You also won't find the stereotypical "gym bro" atmosphere here--people are respectful of each other's space, time, and noise levels. The people here also organize activities outside the gym as well, ranging from Spartan races and marathons to casual hikes, beer festivals, concerts, and even weekend gaming. At the time of writing this review, Titan Gym is located in Alamo Ranch, though they plan to move to a much larger facility later this year (close to the Santikos Theatre). That will be a great step forward, as the current space can feel a little cramped in certain areas. Still, even in its current form, Titan Gym manages to create an environment that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely enjoyable to be part of. I'm personally a Texas transplant, and finding this gym went a long way to making this place a new home.

They also train members and are very personalized when it comes to setting up your program! It is also always clean and the equipment is great! 4.75 stars. I wish I had got to train here for a longer period of time. Essentially, I got six…read moremonths and during that time period, Beejay Brooks (my trainer) got me into pretty decent shape from a guy who looks like he's written 1620 Yelp reviews. Give that man a hand! That was some hard ass work. Speaking of work, Beejay had an excellent eye for determining whether you were at peak levels or whether you needed a day with a bit less intensity. He definitely gave a lot of attention to your macros and diet (far more than anyone I've worked with in the past). He's very no nonsense and that's probably not for everyone. If you aren't going to put in the hard work to manage your diet, you will fail and he will let you know it. But if you put in the work, you'd be very hard pressed to find a better trainer in San Antonio (I did work with some of the other trainers at Hasfit and I got to say they were all stellar). Overall, you are going to have to spend some coin (I was at just under $500/month) but when you start seeing the results of that spent money, you aren't going to miss it. You're going to be thankful for the transformative experience as you become fitter and healthier.

Over the course of the trip, living and eating in a hotel, I gained about three pounds of muscle and lost about three percent body fat. As a result, I'm super happy with my experience at the gym and the progress I made in such a short period of time. I think this gym is great for anyone just beginning in the gym to more advanced athletes, as so long you are willing to put in the work. :)

My husband called prior to our visit, to see how much a 1 day pass was. After all, I just needed something to occupy myself ehile he was busy. The person he spoke to told him, that for 1 day, there was no charge, no problem. That if we wanted a 3 day pass, well, that was going to be a fee. Turns out, for my 1 hour workout, I was charged $10!!!!! The gym is super small, equipment is ancient, and staff wasn't the least bit friendly! When I left, the front desk girl just looked up, and then resumed her phone activities. I'm so frustrated about the $10 fee, especially since my husband was told something totally different!! I would have went to anytime, for a much better workout, had I known I was going to be charged!!! My husband comes down here frequently for sports, but we will never again be coming back to The Gym. I cannot reccomend this gym to anyone. Take your money and fitness to anytime. If your day passes are $10, please reference that over the phone. I really hope this gets addressed for future gym visitors, because it's incredibly frustrating.
