I refused so he demanded extra $600 to continue work and do the epoxy floor, that he was broke. On receiving this, he then abandoned my project while giving flimpsy 'weather bad' excuse. Eventually, there was good weather window and he did not follow through after confirming to come around to do the job and clean up the demolition materials he had left on my driveway for 2+ weeks. I got fed up and asked for my money back. I warned that I will report him to my bank as scam in an attempt to get my money, he said I can go ahead that he cannot return my money. He is refusing to give me back 2K of the $2,825 he has already collected from me, saying that, "my plan was to make a couple of payments to reach 1.3K." When I informed him I would take legal action against him and go to the police. He said he will not pay me anymore that and I quote him, "the money I was gonna send you will be spent on lawyers instead.". Afterwards, I allowed him to make payment of what he thinks is due to me so I can suspend the legal action I initiated, but he refused. So, essentially he wants to defraud me of $2.8K (63% of project cost) for incomplete removal of ceiling insulation of ca. 280 sq.ft garage and some drywalls including 85 sq. ft of my drywall that I never asked him to remove, then leaving part of the debris on my driveway and scampering for more than 3 weeks after failing to follow through with our agreement and being dishonest.

In the meantime I worked with the team designer who was very helpful in choosing all the materials. On April 3 Sandro's team arrived with the selected materials which were delivered with great care. Marco and his assistant started the demolition the next day and all the waste and debris were taken away the following day. From then on, Marco worked non stop putting in long days. At the end of each day the site was left neat and tidy.. His punctuality, his attention to detail, his integrity and his hard work all contributed to a finished product that has thrilled me to no end. It was completed in 3 weeks. I did have a couple of small issues after the renovation had been completed but they were addressed immediately and to my satisfaction. I felt I was in good hands from beginning to end! Hired S&S conversions to fix... 3500$ 4) He recommended a window supplier who we signed with but took our deposit and delivered only 2/20 windows. Now taking legal action... 20,000$ 5) Plumbing was done insufficiently for kitchen sink and had leaks in our new cabinets. No cost as he had his "electrician" fix Other issues too that I as a homeowner had to fix myself but considering the other issues are minor. Do not hire contractor Jeff Broodney under the name of JTM or any other company he may reinvent himself as. Jeff worked on my kitchen last year. The cabinets he installed were uneven, not properly anchored and I had to call another contractor to eventually fix the work. Tiles were left dirty, not level and some were chipped. Paint was sloppy. Scratched my other floors and was careless with my belongings. Never worked a full day and went way over his initial timeline. The list goes on. Please, avoid Jeff Broodney and JTM at all costs, for your own sanity.
