My local village pub. Some may say this is biased but I've been there enough times to know a good pub from a bad one!
The pub itself is a classic village pub. It is a listed building and has a huge beer garden that extends all the way down to the river front (which has moorings).
There are your normal lagers and spirits available but it always has a good set of local ales on offer, which tend to change with each visit.
The food is pretty good! A very nice menu ranging from a burger to a pasta dish, they are always well cooked and tasty. I have been there for several Christmas meals which are also a good menu.
Overall a nice pub to enjoy a pint in the sunshine, a nice lunch or just there for the local darts night. It also hosts a range of charity events which are always good fun! read more
