I always feel like I need a drivers license that says "McLovin" when I come to Hooters. No, I don't…read moreknow why either. And when I say "always" I've only been to three, one in Nashville, one in Las Vegas, and one in Tokyo (which completely defeated the purpose, but was still fun). Just like every other American franchise that comes to Australia (TGI Fridays, Outback Steakhouse), our version is never as good as their version. The food is Americana, but it's pretty basic versions of their most famous dishes - chicken wings where at least 3 of the 20 I got were refrigerator-cold, 911 hot sauce that didn't burn my face off like the one in Vegas did, a bowl of potato gems covered in melted Kraft-like cheese, ribs that leave you wanting more for a reason you can't quite put your finger on. It ain't cheap, either. The steaks and ribs run up to 30, 40, 50 bucks, and it's no Porteno. And there are immense amounts of TVs cluttering the place. I know, I know, sports bar, but 29 televisions? Come on. Sadly, another example of a franchise where the brand gives them license to charge OTT prices while ignoring customer experience.

No, you pay for the Hooters brand/gimmick so I find it a little pricier than maybe it should be. The Americana side of the menu is pretty much spot on. My #1 Wife loves the fried pickles as well as their salads. The Burgers are similar to what I've had in places like "In'n'Out" burger in the USA, only much smaller The place was clean and tidy on the inside. No-one seemed to know why several of the TV's at the tables didn't work or weren't plugged in (you could see the plugs next to the TV's) Would I go again? Yes. If I just wanted the food I'd probably go to a nearby Takeaway that specialises in American Style Food, but to sit and dine I would return.

When I pulled up to the next window I asked for the manager, who I was told was Graham. Graham came to the window and turned back - he was the person who closed the window on us at the first window. He sent another employee who claimed "he used to be a manager" however we asked to speak to Graham directly and seek explanation for the poor service. Graham was extremely arrogant in his response. We asked for the head office number and waited approximately 5 minutes in drive thru when we realised he was not coming back, so we entered the store seeking explanation. Upon seeing us, he quickly brought us a scribbled number and said "call that". We attempted to call 02 9484 4802 however received no response nor voicemail. Graham finally attended to us by standing in front of us the entire time I wrote this review, without saying a word nor apologising for the arrogant attitude that he displayed though out our experience.
