Loved this cute spot for coffee and food! I stopped in for a coffee and to read my book and it was very cute and pleasant. My latte was delicious and came with a piece of chocolate. No computers at tables after 11am. They also sell jewelry, frames pictures and candles. Toilet for paying customers.

Walked in to open doors at 9:03 (restaurant opens at 9) said that they weren't open yet, we walked 2 feet and saw ppl entering and sitting down. So we walked back to sit down. We had to wait 10 minutes to order. The food was relatively bland and the portion sizes were very small compared to the price. Not worth an avacado sandwich for 14 euros. Maybe we just had a bad experience but wouldn't recommend.

One of the most instagrammable places I've ever seen. The bottom is where you order and can shop for cute little kitchen accessories. The display case has a cupcake and dessert spread, while the big pull is the smoothie bowls. We came in the afternoon, ordered the unicorn smoothie, the dragon fruit one, and the mixture one. They were delicious and tasted fresh and unique. They were beautifully made. However, if you don't want to eat some of the fruit that is included in the smoothie you may be out of luck as they are pre blended.

One of the prettiest bakeries I've ever seen. Everything was pretty and colorful and fresh and smelled delicious! We wanted to sit inside and enjoy our Dutch Apple pie, but it was REALLY busy. At first we were disappointed, but we took the pie to go. We literally ate it outside on the curb. It was the most amazing pie I have ever eaten! It was flaky and doughy and not even a little bit too sweet. I would love to return to get a pie and a coffee and to sit in the cafe in the future.

Eggs Norweigan and white mocha iced coffee.

I liked the free-for-all seating at the Reeatraat location, we quickly found a spot and other folks claimed free spaces swiftly as well at noon. My iced coffee was good white chocolate flavor. Me and my friend both ordered the eggs Norweigan and it came quickly and beautifully. Both were loaded with smoked fish and the hollandaise sauce was delicious and the eggs good and runny. My friend's pastry was alright, overall pretty good but not a lot of wow. I'd probably return for one of their power bowls next time.

I went to pluk because a dear friend of mine recommended it. Let's just say it isn't my cup of tea. I'll start with what I love and end with what I regret. The eye catching displays are amazing. The food presentation is to die for but, unfortunately, at times what looks good doesn't taste good at all. I loved the cinnamon and ginger shot the most. The pluk Smoothie was very good as well. Let's just say that the beverages are their forte. Now on to the Muffin, it was gargantuan and looked marvelous. The blueberries are gigantic and tasty. The Muffin was overall good, until you bite into the frosting... It is colored butter it felt as though I got a diabitis overdose... My hips felt the frosting rush and it was instant pleasurable regret... Needless to say, a few more bites and I was no longer able to eat the Muffin. The least favorite item was the vegan cheesecake... Loved the pecan crunchy bottom but that was it... The coconut overpowered every other taste... The blueberry simply colored everything but was nonresidential as far as flavor is concerned... First and last attempt at a vegan sweet for me... The staff took forever to flag down to order (at the counter). I had to walk up a steep flight of stairs with the items, had to clear the table once I was done and had a hard time flagging down the staff to get a to-go bag for the rest of the Muffin... So, it's a no for me for service.

This review is for their chocolate bars. I popped in here when I was doing some last minute souvenir shopping in Amsterdam. The shop is super cute and offers everything from coffee to brunch and even stationary! I only tried three of their chocolate bars but I liked them all! The chocolate was rich and very high quality, especially the coffee bar. The coffee bar is comprised of 20% expresso beans and 80% dark chocolate. If you're into chocolate like I am, you'll know how hard it is to make good very dark chocolate. The chocolate was so dark and slightly bitter (in a good way) and so SMOOTH. I was blown away by how good it was. Pluk has some of the best chocolate that I purchase on my trip and I seriously regret not buying more. Also the packaging is adorable!

Cute little cafe, popped in here for some breakfast. The seating is first come first serve, and they have a bunch of tables upstairs. I tried their unicorn bowl and it was actually shaped like a unicorn with a cute cone shaped horn. I loved it

I went to Pluk twice while I was in Amsterdam and I have to say I feel like the quality went down between October 2018 and April 2019. I only say this because I ordered the same exact thing except with a different drink and a different dessert and I feel like I enjoyed this place better the first time around. The idea is to order before you sit. I've gotten the avocado toast with chicken on top and that one was pretty good the first time I had it and the second time I felt like it had been sitting for awhile. Don't get me wrong this place is super cute and you'll be tempted to buy a souvenir or two on the way out. I did however have better tasting meals other than this one in Amsterdam.

Avocado burger with chicken inside. Little different but pretty good.

Cute cafe in the middle of Amsterdam serving healthy breakfast/lunch options as well as lots of sweet treats- cakes, cupcakes, chocolate, etc. Everything seemed very fresh and was delicious. You order at the counter prior to sitting down so keep that in mind when you come, we figured this out after waiting for a few mins. They offer smoothies, pressed juices, shots of ginger, fresh coffee/lattes, as well as breakfast bowls and sandwiches. There are quite a few options for anyone going for breakfast/lunch. The seating area upstairs is limited but there is seating in the back patio as well. On top of baked goods and food they also sell an array of home goods and decor.

Really cute Instagramer's wonderland with fun decorations and products for sale. I ordered a turmeric latte, which I loved and was super happy to see was an option since it's not too common of a drink. I ordered a yummy sandwich and was quite pleased but my friends did not enjoy their meals as much as I did. Not worth waiting in line to grab a seat but still a good place to grab brunch.

I don't want to eat stale bread products. In America, I'm not sure what we'd compare this to. It's got a lot to choose from: drinks, donuts, sandwiches, salads, candy, and more. It's a local convenience store, but definitely more of a healthier selection than say a 7-11. You're not buying a churro or anything like that, but you can definitely find a sandwich to-go that might tide you over until your real meal. I thought it was clean. The line was long and moved quickly and the cashiers were friendly. I wasn't a fan of the variety of the products overall, but hey, sometimes you gotta make due.

The name "to go" means you can buy things you need as you go. Do not expect to find a full assortment here. Just the basics, including a toothbrush, toilet paper and garbage bags. It's not meant to do your weekly shopping. You really can't buy everything you need AND the prices are much higher. If you need to do big shopping in the center (or if you want to spend less) go to the big Albert Heijn behind the palace on Dam square (Nieuwe Zijdsvoorburgwal). It's just 3 minutes walking. Having said this all, this Albert Heijn to go DOES have a sushi bar. Fresh sushi is being prepared in the middle of the busy center. Whereas I would never recommend to eat anywhere on Damrak (packed with low quality tourist traps) this sushibar is an exception. The sushi is really good and the price as well.

I'm not a fan of the show, but Phil went there with a local chef who loves it, so why not give it a try? The place is conveniently located right off of Albert Cuypstraat, next to the market. The staff welcomed us in and were very helpful. We went with a pickled herring sandwich and kibbeling, which is fried cod chunks. Both are traditional Dutch foods and came highly recommended. The sandwich was delightful - perfectly soft bread enveloping briny pickled fish, pickles, and onions? Yes! The pickled herring is not for everyone, and we had already tried it elsewhere on its own. Having it in a sandwich was a better experience. The Kibbeling was very good - well breaded, but not greasy, and letting the fish flavor through. There isn't really anywhere to sit, but you can stand at some tables outside or snack inside the establishment, as well. We would be regulars here, for sure, if we lived close by. Highly recommend a visit here.

This is a Persian convenience store that doubles as a general convenience night shop in Amsterdam…read more They're open from 10 to 10 every day of the week so we're off on the right foot. What can you say about this place? It's just a convenience store and it does a good job at being one, nothing special there. However, where the "special" kicks in, is that it carries LOTS of Persian products. Bread, candy, cookies, ingredients, even music and probably more. I have the Persian heritage and although I don't speak Farsi well and am not really in touch with my Persian side, however my Persian side is very much in touch with me in form of fur on my skin, I cannot live without a certain few ingredients I grew to absolutely love since I was a kid and you know what, I can get those ingredients at this little shop for reasonable prices. One thing I love is saffron. They have pretty high quality saffron here. It's expensive, but hey... it's saffron! I make a killer saffron cheesecake! Yeah baby combining American with Persian! Another thing I absolutely cannot live without is rosewater! No, shut up, it's not that chemical pink concoction you can get at the Chinese shops filled with emulsifiers and god knows what else. No, I'm talking about REAL PURE ROSEWATER. It's as clear as water and it consists of two things: distilled water and rose essence, actual rose essence. Recent research also shows that it's extremely healthy for your heart and arteries among other things. Persians just throw that stuff in about ANY desert they have. Rose ice cream? Typical Persian! Rose nougat? Yup, we have it. Rose and saffron pudding? Please! Rose rice wafers? Check! I can continue, but I won't. Speaking of deserts, you can get lots of different kinds of Persian stuff here if you wanna give it a try. One of two more things I wanna mention is Persian knife-cut noodles (hand made). They are called "reshteh" and I love putting them in my homemade soups instead of vermicelli or whatever. They're pretty awesome! The other is dates! Persian dates. There are lots of different kinds of dates but at the Turks, you get those hard, shiny brittle-ish dates. Blaghh Persians have these dates called "Rottab"... or "Lottab"... I honestly don't know if it's an R or L. Who cares. Anyway, Try those! They MELT in your mouth! Chewing: NOT required! You can easily pull the seed out and put the date in your mouth to let it melt! They have those in front, at the cash register. Check the photos. So go here and have a look-see if you wanna explore and broaden your horizon.
