They have such an amazing selection inside or something for everybody. They even have foreign type of items there in TikTok ice cream. They turned away someone who was attempting to buy alcohol on their 21st birthday, it was 5pm in the middle of the day and he was not with anyone who was under 21. He was not going against california rules or regulations, just a regular 21 year old buying a beer and they said they could not sell to him until the day after his birthday. Based on their made to order sushi rolls, this place deserves 5 stars. Gas station sushi? Yes, please. When it's at this place. Had the demon roll, super fresh ingredients, and the soy and wasabi weren't even needed, unless you want to up your spice even more. Price was the same as what you'd get at any sushi place on the area. Will definitely come again and try some other rolls. read more

Plumas Lake is not very big but they sure scored big with this Stop N Shop. Opened 24 hours, they have just about everything that you need. Their selection of liquor will blow your mind. From your typical favorite beer to top shelf whiskey like Jonnie Walker Blue Label Ghost. When here, make sure you pick up some pre-marinated chicken to take home to cook. They have 3 flavors, spicy, garlic lemon, and Tandoori. I like the tandoori the most, followed by the spicy, then the garlic lemon. They also have ribs, sold by the slab, will have to try next time. read more

Recently, my son filled up our Ford Ranger with low octane gasoline at the Plumas Stop N Shop II, at the South end of Plumas Lake. By the time he got home, about two miles away, the engine light had come on and the engine was misfiring. We hooked up the OBDII scanner to see what the probable causes could be. Long story short: it's a case of "bad gas"; water/condensation in the fuel. I know others have experienced the same problem with the diesel and gasoline from this same location. If you experience any of these issues after filling up at the Plumas Stop N Shop II, please let them know. read more

The owner of this gas station, and the sister gas station at the other end of Plumas Lake, is a thief. They have consistently over the years held us hostage with their high gas prices. Notice when Chevron came in, suddenly their prices dropped. Competition. But they're creeping back up. Remember, their gas is not top-tier gas. It is low grade gas. It's the same crap you get in these no-name gas stations. Go ahead and take a chance, but you might regret it. Bottom line, they are price gouging all the time. They are consistently over a dollar a gallon more than others that are within 10 miles. Don't give me that crap about how we live in the middle of nowhere. That's BS. Can't wait till Costco opens up. I got charged a dollar twice for getting no gas because of the broken card readers and then when I went in to buy gas with cash I got charged the premium gas for my Toyota. Now before you bash me in with a club telling me I chose the premium gas myself. I didn't, choosing what gas type I wanted wasn't even an option that was given to me. When I went back to my gas pump it was already dripping gas so I had faith that the cashier knew which gas I wanted. Before and after I was getting gas the screen and the gas prices would flicker reaching 0000 for everything. Those gas pumps they got are in SERIOUS need of a maintenance check. I recommend you guys just go to Chevron down the road. read more

One of the rudest employees came out while i was being rung up and told me that my dog being in the store near the candy will make customers not buy the candy.. as if my dog was dirty or something... when honestly that man looked filthy and my dog is clean. Everything was overpriced in this store anyway and the man was a crook and lucky to get my business in the first place. Best bet is to go across the street to the chevron where they have great customer service, fair prices and happily allow my sweet dog in the store! read more

Was here visiting my friend and the closest thing around was this gas station. Stopped by and wanted to get myself a cold drink before driving back home. Went to check out (no line) and there was a $0.35 card fee which I thought was fine because often smaller stores need the customer to pay the fee. So it was 3.25 for a gatorade which as a college student is kind of a lot but I thought whatever. It didn't work which as a cashier myself is normal because sometimes the machine doesn't always work and needs to try again. The man said it declined (and I know I have a lot of money in my card and there has never been a problem) and said that I need to get out of the way for the next customers seconds after instead of asking me to try again. Mind you the people behind me just came up so they were probably only waiting about a minute. The man was very rude to me and I'm assuming it was because I look pretty young for my age. I then drive an extra 2-3 miles to a nearby Walgreens because I was still dehydrated, of course. Card went through just fine like usual. Nothing wrong with my card. And it was a million times cheaper. There is also nothing priced and you just have to guess, I guess. I've worked customer service for three years and I would never have treated a customer like I was. I might understand if i was being rude but I didn't even say anything to the man. Overall I do not recommend this place, and for the price of the gas here you might as well stop by a nearby chevron for the same priced gas which will last you longer. read more
